The console, after twelve years of production, has sold over 150 million consoles worldwide. The console has been so well regarded that, as many of you surely know, even after the PlayStation 3's release many games were still being ported down to the PS2. The PlayStation 2 has been the primary release console for many games, some of which include Guitar Hero, God of War, and Killzone, all critically acclaimed series' that made their debut's on the PS2.
