hidden ranking system?

is there a hidden ranking system because i could swear the level of competition has increased lots i never play any really really bad people anymore

Yes there is, 343 has already stated that the "True Skill" ranking system is in effect but, it's hidden until early next year. Then our rank will be made visible to us.

The level of competition hasn't necessarily increased, but 343i just made the game easier to play. So lesser skilled players are now pretty compitent with most guns. So us skilled players must find newer ways to beat opponents.

I used to play a lot of bad people. Though that stopped at some point and my kd is more reasonable.

The ranking system is in place but yet bad players still manage to get on my team and cause a loss, usually possessing a -10 or similar KD ratio. 343 needs to redo things so those players get matched with others of similar skill. I would also like to see 343 do something about matching players with players who have guests, which also affects game outcomes at times.

Yeah, I actually like the fact that they are having it in play, but not necessarily visible. I've definitely been getting paired with much tougher opponents.

I think they are doing just fine with placements as far as opponents go. I have yet to have an unfair match, but I have had matches where we obliterated kids.
