Look lets not sugar coat it, this game is made for newbs, not seasoned veterans

This game is for the newbs. Which is why everyone ranks up. Kinda like communism.

No losers. Wouldnt want to hurt anyone feelings. We couldn't have little Johnny complaining to mama because he cant get his 50.

Heck I remember the good ole days playing Halo 2, actually had 2 gamertags, one being my protected rank, playing hours to get to LVL 34 in TS which was damn near impossible. The other gamertag was for fun.

We would play for hours just trying to get one LVL. Little punks talking trash over your body after they killed you.....

Addicting.....

Play for hours and until you collapse from exhaustion, wake up the next day do it all over again.

Ah, those were the days...

34 was a mediocre rank in Halo 2. Before any rank updated 16 was pretty decent, 20+ was good. After the updates 34 was nothing special, 40 was good and 44+ was pretty competive. You can not complain about a ranking system that you can not see. The SR-ranks and so on are not even "Ranks" they are levels that allow the ability to unlock armors, weapons and etc. The real ranks aren't visible to players yet. Had you done research you would know that they plan to release this update early 2013. Have a good day, sir.

Back then there was a lot of players but since then there is a LARGER NUMBER of people that are good at this game. And yes the game has evolved that there is many strategies to playing, you can be a long range pro, stealth guy, close quarters specialist etc and so on.

You obviously are not as good at this game as you were previous Halo's, maybe because YOU refuse to ADAPT.

Okay, let me get this straight.... You are saying that because this game is not exactly like Halo 2 it is crap? Honestly, Halo 2 was a crap fest past 45. I got lucky to hit 46 in TS because one of my friends helped to mod to battle other modders. The only game that really measured true skill out of the series was Halo 3. Halo 4 is getting there but the CSR will not release until Early 2013. Why don't you take a break for a few days and come back to the game? IF not well, BLOPS2 is actually pretty good and is as competitive if not more competitive than MW1.

Next time state your concerns in a mature fashion, not bashing the population that likes Halo 4. We all liked Halo 2 and 3 but it is time to move on and enjoy another game, a different one.

Halo 2 was the best rank system. Yes there were cheaters. But if you were a 45, you were a bad mutha #$^&*.

Halo 3 got worse were there were lots and lots of 50s.

By the time we got to Reach and H4, all but gone.

You can call me troll but I care about Halo. I was playing Halo 1 when you were probably still in diapers, so spare me the troll talk.

No one said you werent an avid Halo fan. To bring some light to this discussion if you ever heard of CounterStrike you would really know what I am talking about. The most successful game of the series (and still is in my opinion) was CounterStrike 1.6. 1.6 was very competitive and super not-newb-friendly. When Source came out, it changed. It became less competitive and cattered to more average gamers. ALOT of 1.6 players hated Source for like 5 years, then all of a sudden players started getting used to the different style of play and played both competitively. Years later, Counterstrike GO (Global Offensive) came out and set the tone again as being more competitive than Source but still maintaining some still to catter to average gamers. It was competitive enough that 1.6 players switched over to GO.

(BTW THIS RANTish was meant to help you to understand that this happens to every game, fill the blanks in for COD, DOTA, and any other used to be extremely competitive game)

This is not a bad thing, Halo 4 is a "newer" style of Halo 2. It has more competitive value (I believe) than Reach ever did and offers that same awesomeness H3 did (just screwing around and having a good time).

If you do not like the game so much after a week, put it down like I did (more or less because I was getting frustrated at some things) for a couple of days and go back to it.

343 will change some things trust me. CSR will drastically improve this game and give everyone 1-50 ranks like they wanted in Halo Reach. 343 is listening to the community.

So PLEASE for the love of goodness, stop flaming around the forums making people angry and pissed for no reason because YOU are having a bad experience.

Like I said, BLOPS2 is a great game and it may take your mind off of some of the issues you are having with Halo 4 and remember every game nowadays is modernized (meaning it will always catter to average gamers).

Thanks and happy gaming!

Lolsz nube. You think rank matters now huh? Who gives a crap about rank. Reach had BPR, and Halo 4 has 2 ranking systems. The last one being a skill system. You have no life, so why not take the time and research before you post countless topics on the same subject. That is spam, which leads to ban.

Pretty much everything Unseenz said 3 posts before me. It still does not change the fact though, that Halo 4 did not have a much-needed ranked matchmaking system ON RELEASE. So, Halo 4 at the moment is not even comparable to CS:GO how it compromised to be a game that somewhat appeals to both casual and competitive audiences.

TRUE, was basically just trying to add some light to the subject. Tired of seeing hate filled threads/topics for no reason when the game is brand new. Am I giving 343 a free pass? Eh, no. I think some of the things should have already been in but I am trying to think positively that they will change in time.
