Welcome to the legendary Water Temple, inspired by Zelda Ocarina of Time N64. Hated by some, but no one could argue the beauty of it's architecture, as I feel that it's one of the most memorable temples from the game. Again, it's not a remake, meaning I worked to weave familiar aspects from Zelda into Halo gameplay, turning it into a fun, gun-crazy map. So feel free to have fun exploring as you send your fellow spartan to a watery grave within the temple's chambers. The map is fairly symmetrical in nature, with a red and blue base on either side of the central 3 floor chamber, a lower region where some of you may recognize dark link standing against the tree, and an upper region where the giant aquatic amoeba "Morpha" lies in wait to ****** up its prey... (not really, its just an aesthetic.) Smaller features around the map include hook shot locations, spike traps, moving spiky obstacles, and blocks that can be pushed aside to clear passages. Originally I tried using blue chromas for the water that could manually be raised and lowered like in the actual zelda game, but I figured people wouldn't be too keen on dropping through something they couldn't see through. Still, you can make some of the blocks "float" up and down by activating the Tri-force symbols on either side of the chamber, possibly providing easier paths for players to maneuver. I'm sure there's more I could improve on to make this map flow better and I look forward to any suggestions as you test out my map. Hope you enjoy something from one of my favorite games of all time. She's been a member here almost as long as I have and is one of this site's leading ladies if you ask me. Here's my interview with Zelda: DD: "Hey Zelda, when you joined I knew you as IrishElf. What's your background with Zelda and why'd your change your name to it?" ZA: "I have always wanted the name Zelda on different sites, and usually its already used by someone else. So when Vitamin Pwn told me it wasnt taken, I asked him to change it for me." DD: "Alright fair enough haha. Zelda you've been frequenting the site for over a year now, what do you like most about this site? What keeps you coming back here?" ZA: "Thats an easy question. The people. The member's of this site. I have made many great friends and its the members that kept me coming back. Its my virtual home. In fact, if I am not on here at least once everyday, it drives me crazy. I like coming on here and making sure everything is going ok, and that everyone is well. But there are those times when I miss something and I feel bad for missing it. Like how I missed you becoming Mod for instance. But alas, at least I got to congratulate you anyways. :)" DD: "That just happened 2 days ago! You didn't miss it by much! But I know what you mean. Everyone takes an absence from the site for one reason or another and it's well known by anyone who has that real life takes priority when something comes up. You were gone for some months not too long ago though, what was going on in that time if you don't mind me asking?" ZA: "Well, I was kinda gone from here for a few months. But I was actually checking in everyday at the end of the day before bed. I wasnt in the shout box because I was only on here long enough to check for mails and do a quick look through the threads to see if I had missed anything. But during my somewhat absence, I was in the middle of moving everything out of my dad's house before it could go into foreclosure. Seeing as how I had just lost him in February, I didn't want to loose everything he and my mom owned. My sister, Chantay was here as well trying to help out with the packing and everything. But now that everything is done and over with, I can finally just sit back and enjoy the forums like I used to before January. Well, as long as my internet allows me to enjoy them. :)" DD: "I'm very sorry to hear that but I admire how open you are with sharing that with the Community Zelda . What are you excited to see on the site when you come on and what do you enjoy most when coming online?" ZA: "I think what I get excited about is seeing member's get promoted a new staff position or making it to MoM, or even turn into a Trusted Member or Dedicated Member after all the work they have put in. As for what I like to see, is more the fact that we all like to joke around and play with one another. I also like looking at people's art and seeing their forge maps in the pictures. :)" DD: "Those are some of my favorite things too for sure. And I've noticed you've reached Dedicated on the site not too long ago so congrats on that! Let's talk Xbox One. What do you think of it from what you've seen so far?" ZA: "And thank you. About Xbox One.... Well, I can say is that its not something I am interested in. I'll not go into detailing it, because there are people who do want it and are anticipating it, and I dont want to ruin the excitement that they are feeling towards the Xbox One, by going into a rant. But I am definitely buying a PS4 when I have money saved up for it. Well, actually I will be buying three PS4's eventually. lol But I will say this, I will be keeping my 360. There is a Fable Anniversary, (that I am ecstatic about) coming out near the holidays and I need my 360 in order to play it. ;)" DD: "Big into Fable? Which do you like more, Fable or Halo?" ZA: "lol. Sorry guys, I have been a much longer fan of Fable than I have with Halo. :P" DD: "Oh no! The dreaded answer! No that's totally cool there are many members on here whose favorite game isn't Halo. Zelda if you could create a site Award, what would it be and how would people get it?" ZA: "A site award? I've thought about it before, but never really asked about it. It would probably be the Triforce, and to get it, you'd have to be seen doing 3 of the things in which the Triforce stands for. So if you were offered a Staff job on the site, Zelda, which do you think you'd take if you could choose?" ZA: "A staff job? Well, I'd rather them (the decision makers), decide which one I most likely qualified for and to see how it would work out. Never hurts to try something new. :)" DD: "Alright just wanted to see what you were thinking if you were thinking about it! Alright we're hitting the end of June and our amazing MoM, Beckoningzebra1, is about to serve his full term. Is there anyone you'd like to see get Member of the Month for July?" ZA: "I know i have always wanted to see ZB-85 become MoM. But I dont think he's been on enough recently. Bloody Initiate has done some amazing posts. He doesn't talk to anyone, but I have seen his posts. And Zuko is on rather often." DD: "ZB!! I've wanted to see ZB become MoM since I got here basically. He was my first interviewee. Alright, so as we all know. December 31st is Zelda's last day as being Member of the Month (MoM). So lets all give her a big hug and thanks for being such a great MoM during the down times, and during the worst month November 2012. Which was the release month of Halo 4 and the spec codes. Hello Everybody and Welcome To The 2nd USF Presidential Election We wanted to do things a little differently this year and so Spyro has added me, CooliestRap, to the Roster of USF Presidential Team. I stumbled upon it when searching for what was changed during a TU update. What is your biggest aspiration or goal in life? That is a tough question to answer. Ummm... My username is iTz Vplus2. Why i chose it is actually an interesting story. On Xbox LIVE i have had many different gamertags over the years and when i played CoD MW3 and wanted to get into the competitive esports side of gaming, i needed a catchy, short name that would sound like a good name for a Pro Gamer. So after a lot of thinking, i came up with Vplus2. It stands for Valentine plus 2. I chose it because i was born on February 16, 2 days after Valentine's Day. Unfortunately the GT Vplus2 was already taken, so i added the iTz. How did you hear about and why did you choose to be apart of the 343i Community Forums? I heard about the 343i Community Forums through google I was looking for Halo 4 news and stumbled across the forum. So yeah, that's also the reason why i originally chose to be a part of the forums - for the Halo 4 news. But since then, i've come to appreciate the other aspects of this forum a lot too. The community, the other sections.. pretty much everything. What is your biggest aspiration or goal in life? Well, shouldn't that one be obvious? Right now, it's becoming the President of the USF, of course But if you ask life-wise and with a future look, i just want a good job that pays enough money. That may be simple, but it's all i ask for. And i don't mean a job that pays tons of money and all these expectations. Reason for that is i come from a rather difficult family where money, amongst other things, has been an issue quite often. But hey, i never lost hope that someday i'll do better than this. Never have, never will. When it comes to that, i am a very strong person. And i think this is also something that would make me a great candidate for the USF President spot. I don't ever give up. It's not my style, not my way to go about things. And i always try to improve. My username is Mr. Bashful Brute. I started as The Bashful Brute, but when everyone started doing Mr., I changed it. The 2nd part is simply my gamertag, Bashful Brute. How did you hear about and why did you choose to be apart of the 343i Community Forums? I had joined 343ICF in December of last year, looking for some advice on pursuing a career at 343 Industries. I asked around in the shoutbox but no one answered me so I left. Shortly after that, I joined Halo Waypoint and posted there for a while. I liked it there, spending most of my time there aside from Halo. I got about 3500 posts (@_@) and Community Member of the Week once. But then Bungie closed up, and HWP started growing. The mods started banning good members for nothing, and "cliques" started forming. Then a friend of mine from Waypoint was saying how he was leaving, (for the same reason) and that he was joining a site called 343 Industries.org. So I decided to leave as well. I came back in March, and I've loved it ever since. What is your biggest aspiration or goal in life? I'd really love to work on Halo. Or do something related to Halo. Probably makes me sound like a no-life or whatever, but I love Halo more than anything else. My username is the name of my favorite pony, Twilight Sparkle from the MLP:FiM series. She is the smartest and most collected pony on the show. She has many similar interest as I do and she is a great match for my personality and character. She is someone I look up to greatly. I'm sure you're aware of what bronies are, so I won't head down that road further. How did you hear about and why did you choose to be apart of the 343i Community Forums? 2- Well, I was abused on bungie.net, always being made fun of so I remembered that 343 owns halo now, so I decided to find a new "internet home". I am glad I did. 343 has given me so much that bungie.net or any other website never did. The people here are overall kind and generous and are always willing to lend an hear when you have a problem. So here's a quick shout-out to you, the members of 343, thank you for your hospitality. What is your biggest aspiration or goal in life? 3- My largest apiration in life is to become an engineer and master every branch of it. I want to further advance or race to help make lives for those who deserve it more comfortable. (without rendering them lazy of course ) I also wish to learn as much knowledge as I can before my time comes.
