  1. The Halo modding community is a small but creative group. There is another company called Bethesda Game Studios. This company is very popular, but what keeps their games popular and played for years is modding. BGS has a very big modding community. The reason this community is so big, and they make so much is because BGS gives them the development and modding tools, this is called the creation kit. I think the next step in player freedom is in if 343i releases a modding kit for Halo on the PC. Doing this would give tools to go in and be able to modify the whole game, to make who new landscapes, vehicles, armor, story campaigns. Unlike Forge, where it is using some assets of the game, the modding tool would be able to have whole new assets. Just like Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition they could allow mods on the consoles. This would make the PC Halo community grow exponentially, and would make the console Halo console side very happy and it would grow as well, by a lot I bet. Doing this would usher in a whole new golden age in the Halo community. Replayability would be almost endless. The custom games we know and love would be 100 times crazier, their could be whole new campaigns and stories, new weapons, armors, and so on With what is happening with Installation 01, they could probably do it easier, and more projects like it could be happening. This is something I think would be great, what do you think about it?
  2. What do you think standard users can do to help the site in general or to increase the activity?
  3. The campaign is bad in terms of level design, not really story. The Halo 4 campaign doesn't have great level design, but it has the same issues as the original trilogy, but the story is the deepest overall, which I wish they continued instead of doing cliche number 27 with Halo 5, but this is all just my opinion.
  4. The only flaws I can think of really is that if your doing team based you will be brought down by a team with bad players, and a easy fix would be if you have positive kd you should still go up, but otherwise I think it is good, and it should be difficult to rank up.
  5. I maybe the first to say the series is on repeat, but generally people think Halo CE has a good campaign, but not good multiplayer, and that Halo 2 has a bad campaign, but great multiplayer. The Halo community loved the Halo 2 campaign.
  6. No, it adds fun challenge to the game, and as it is there are already a lot of power weapons, but maybe it could be fun I'm certain game modes
  7. That is why I said 2 leveling systems. The skill based are for those who are competitive and good, you have to try and do well. The skill based system isn't meant to be easy, it's meant to be difficult. You have to practice and improve, that's why it's not for everyone. The casual is for those who either aren't great or just want to play casually, I don't care what it is, I reference reach as an example, I don't think it's good, but the only point of casual is really just keep the players having fun and playing.
  8. I was really referring to how the whole of the community viewed them. I didn't say anything about the reqs, but that is whole of topic worth discussing, but this isn't the topic
  9. That demo looked like it was for a great game, a game I wish was made lol, I wish that demo was playable
  10. So yeah just like the title, what are your earliest Halo 3 experiences and memories
  11. Here's a suggestion that will require work my both the site staff and users. There are certain things a majority of users on this site want 343i to do. Us discussing on here is good, but I don't think 343i is looking here. A way we can have a way to get 343i to see what our users think is by posting on waypoint. Here is the strategy: Someone makes a topic for a suggestion for Halo, a lot of people agree, at that point the site staff and users coordinate with the users and have one person post the same topic on waypoint, and than everyone from here go there and like and say they agree with the post. If it's get a lot of attention fast, more people, who are users of waypoint will see it, and will discuss it as well, the more popular it gets the more likely 343i will see it. I am not saying they will, but it will increase the chances. It may seem ambitious, but I think it can work
  12. I want two types of ranking systems. A skill based, where you win to rank. Ideally it would be like Halo 3 ranking, 1-50. The casual can really be anything, it could be what is currently in Halo 5, or preferable the system in Reach. By unlockable I mean like armor, skins, weapon variants, and such
  13. 1. Skyrim Special Edition SSE deserves GOTY due all the reasons it did in 2011. The only difference now is that it is all around better. The graphics has been up given a boost. The frame rates are more stable, and generally higher. The bugs that were fixed after Skyrim released in 2011 are still fixed, and then some. The experience for all systems has been enhanced because of modding. PC has always had mods, but now the potential and capabilities are seemingly endless on it. The Xbox One and PS4 also have modding, but it is more restricted, yet there enhances the experience. Players new and old will have a great experience with Skyrim. If you want to get lost in a whole other world, than Skyrim will be the game you want.
  14. Oh no, I was talking about the ranked skill system. Like if you played Lone Wolfs, you would go from 1 to 5, all the way up the 50 if you kept winning
  15. Your good, I like that ranking system as a whole, but when I say that I don't mean how it affects the unlocks in H3
  16. I agree, 343i could make the best Halo ever, and make a game to trump the other games as well My topic wasn't about individual issues with Halo 5 or other halos, it was just about certain things that are repeated. I do agree Split screens would be great My topic wasn't about individual issues with Halo 5 or other halos, it was just about certain things that are repeated. I do agree Split screens would be great
  17. There should be 2 leveling systems, a skill based one, and an experience based one. The skill system should be numerical, basically like from H2 and 3. If it isn't broken why fix it? You should go up in rank if you win games, and go down if you lose. Also the skill system should be seen in game, and not just on way point The casual can be the current system, or it could be like reach. Each ranking system should be used for getting different armor, skins, and variants. The skill system would allow you to earn armor by going up in rank, each new rank would have different sets of unlocks you can use. None of these unlocks should have effects on gameplay, or at least if they do, shouldn't be used in ranked if it does. In the casual system you would get armor by how much you play, or the credits you earn to buy the unlocks. None of the variants earned in this system, if it has effect in gameplay, should be able to be used in ranked playlists. There would also probably be another set of unlocks you can buy, which should should not include any from the unlocks I mentioned before, and should not have effect in gameplay. You should be able to pick out and buy them randomly, and not have it be random. This is all my opinion, if you disagree let me me know, if you would change anything let me know. Also, a little extra, a little more spice. There should be multiple playlists, and each playlist should have different unlocks as well, but should still follow the format I made above. Of course some would be skill based and some casual. Like grifball playlists should have specific unlocks, while btb have different ones.
  18. You're saying: if Halo 5 didn't have anything bad, and only good, than it would be a great. Lol But I agree, I wish they followed what they did with Halo 4
  19. Halo seems to be on repeat kinda. Halo CE: Great campaign with a not great multiplayer Halo 2: lackluster campaign with amazing multiplayer Halo 3: great campaign with amazing multiplayer Halo 4: good campaign with not so great multiplayer Halo 5: lackluster campaign with good multiplayer (it has issues, but is better than 4's) Halo 6: hopefully great campaign and amazing multiplayer
  20. So everyone I felt very welcome here, and I enjoy this site a lot
  21. I think the Podcast should start again. Maybe it could have 2 or 3 normal hosts, but have members come from the forums. Doing this could get more members interested in the podcasts.
  22. Why did you decide to become a mod, and why do you continue to be a mod on here?
