  1. I do get a kick out of taunting an AL player when they use it. I tell them through proximity mic that "I can see your pink thong strap Darlin'".
  2. I actually never try for assassinations myself, I feel it leaves you too vulnerable to attack. I do get them on a fairly regular basis by just performing a melee from the side or back to finish off an opponent. Sniper sprees, 5-10 in a row, that gets me very pumped up. I feel there is nothing more satisfying than shooting across a map and saving a fellow team mate from certain death or taking out an opposing sniper. You may not always get the highest number of kills, but if you are good, your team appreciates it. It can be a pivotal shot of a flag carrier about to score, a player with a laser about to kill a Warthog full of your team mates or eliminating a harassing banshee from the sky. Sniper.....enough said!
  3. elite you know the second image looks friggin' bad a**! If there ever is more Elite armor added, that one should be the hardest to get! Equivalent to the Recon armor of Halo 3. He looks like the last guy in the world a Spartan would want to tangle with.
  4. You're right Legend. Back to some of the roots. We don't need 30 types of armors with multiple attachments for each of them. My post was to just bring light to a compromise of all the thoughts I had read, but I believe like you do.
  5. Thanks for the response Silent. I too hope if AA's continue there is something done with them. They became so controversial and seemed to have an affect on the longevity of Reach. See you in the forums.

  6. There may end up being some sort of mechanized entity similar to Guilty Spark 343. He did after all, along with his drones, protect the Ring. I look forward to seeing what the Forerunner planet has in store for us, not to mention the Easter Eggs that may be there. One thing I got from 343Ind's. interviews was the desire to reproduce them in the CEA game. Maybe they are on their minds for Halo 4.
  7. It should also have a draining affect on the shield or health of the user. That would have to be one powerful smackdown!

    Halo 4

I think they do have a game plan for the future. They have given indications of that in interviews. I have also read, and will find the source when time permits, that there were only a handful of Bungie employees at 343 Ind.
  9. I'll have to go back and listen to it. I just can't seem to recall it right now.
  10. Where did you read this, I must have missed it? Is it from the book?
  11. You do realize you had cap lock on, right? lol
  12. I do not remember the post I read this in, but they reminded me that we would be fighting on a Forerunner planet. I just figured that would be adding new weapons to use along with some of the standard equipment. There may also be some weapon advancements made by humans and/or the Covenant. I can't wait to see whats in store.
  13. There may be something there, I'll mull it over and see what I can get from it. Thanks elite.
  14. Do you mean walking with a swagger like John Wayne or cool hip walk like Chris Rock? Maybe stand like Buzz Light Year with your hands your hips or Serpico on a corner in New York? What are we talking about here elite?
  15. I had read in a post about AA's that the player felt they made you think about when to use them, I mulled that over for a while and had this thought and created a post. It seemed like there needed to be some kind of a trade off for using an Armor Ability sense that had become so controversial in Reach. I ,nor does anyone here, know if they will be part of Halo 4. When I had this thought though, knowing my dislike for AA's, I felt this was something I could easily live with. Give those who like them their AA's and those of us who don't a trade off. Your shields, as they are, now have an over shield and your health, or armor strength bar. Use of an AA requiring an electric or fueled energy would leech off of your over shield and use of a physical AA would leech your health bar. Example: Activating Invisibility, Jet Pack, Hologram, Drop Shield and the dreaded AL would be fueled or electric source where Sprint and Evade would be a physical source. P.S. eliteultra you do need to get some fresh air, lol!
  16. Is there concern when there has been a previous game, at least for me, that did not quite live up to the predecessors and we now have a new company taking over the franchise.........sure. It is only natural to feel that way. I have realized something though, Microsoft wants a winner here. 343 Ind. wants to create a game that lives up to the standard as well as sells millions of copies. We are the "fans", they are the "business" that produces what we love now. They want this to work, they want it to be the best one yet. Remember also, that there are "fans" who are part of that "business". They are the ones creating the game. I saw a documentary video on Pixar studios who have produced "Toy Story", "Finding Nemo", "the Incredibles". etc. There big concern was always living up to what they had done before. It wasn't easy for them, watch the piece if you haven't seen it. Point is it is very hard to keep producing winner after winner. Though I was never the big fan of Reach, I feel that Bungie really tried there best. It is easy for us to criticize when we aren't happy with what we get. Imagine being the people who are actually creating this game, feeling the pressure, wanting to try new things, wanting to succeed. I like this forum. It gives us a chance to talk, dream, and post ideas. 343 Ind. may even look in every once and a while and see something that interests them or see a common dislike for a feature that could possibly shape the game. Who knows. I am giving them a chance, we all should.
  17. The trailer showed a "Thruster Pack", as described by 343 Ind. in an interview, that works in zero gravity and would be useless on the planet surface.
  18. ....limited edition copies of 'Egomaniac.....
  19. Just an idea to expand on, besides, I have never heard an explanation for the energy sorce of the current ones, much less seen any equipmemt that provides the ability. That is mot true of the jetpack.
  20. An idea struck me while discussing a new Armor Ability tonight. Much like when you run fast and hard you are winded and slightly drained. By that reasoning and even though you are a Spartan, or whatever species, when you expend energy or even control an ability it should be draining on your shields. What do you feel about this? If AA's are to be continued, shouldn't there be some kind of a leeching affect on your shields when used?
