  1. So far you haven't given one legitimate reason for why it will kill Halo. All you've shown is how much of a self-entitled jerk you are. P.S. Halo is still well alive and kicking Also don't be surprised if people and the developers completely ignore you and others like you. You all haven't gave any real reason why these features are bad.
  2. Blake BellaMoMa I get where you're coming from, but that's no excuse to take things out that people liked. Most people including me liked a lot of weapons on this list. If they bring them back in Custom Games, Forge, Firefight, and Campaign I don't see why that would be a problem. If I was making a game like Halo, I would keep all the cool things in while innovating. I as well a most people don't think that there could ever be too much in a game. Games are suppose to be as creative as much as possible. If the developer takes things out that most of the Community enjoyed, then people will be pissed off. Just look what happen in Halo: Reach when Bungie took out Certain Weapons, Certain Armor, Certain Gametypes, Certain Vehicles, being able to fully customize Elites, Duel-Wielding, Powerups on the maps, in-game True-Skill Ranking system, and Bleed Though just to name a few. Then when Halo 4 came along, a lot more things were removed than those in Halo: Reach. The point is, why remove something if it worked just fine.
  3. Hey there everybody, I've been thinking about this for a while now. Why did Bungie and 343 Industries remove all the cool weapons from Halo? I as well as most people actually enjoyed a lot of these weapons and they removed them. A lot of people were displeased about this including me. They could've just kept them in Forge, Custom Games, Firefight, and Campaign if nothing more. I as well as others loved the variety that you got in the other Halo game. I'm making this list in hopes that 343 will bring all the weapons back at least in Forge, Custom Games, Firefight, and Campaign. I will soon make another thread talking about the vehicles that they should bring back. Here are the weapons that should come back at least in Forge, Custom Games, Firefight, and Campaign if nothing more. * SMG * Flamethrower * Missile Pod * Grenade Launcher * Plasma Launcher * Focus Rifle * Spiker * Plasma Rifle * Mauler * Brute Shot * Needle Rifle * Spike Grenade * Incendiary Grenade Here are the weapons that should stay at least in Forge, Custom Games, Firefight, and Forge * Railgun * SAW * Sticky Detonator * DMR Here are the weapons that should stay period * Assault Rifle * Battle Rifle * Sniper Rifle * Magnum * Rocket Launcher * Spartan Laser * Frag Grenade * Machine Gun Turret * Shotgun * Plasma Cannon * Covenant Carbine * Plasma Pistol * Plasma Grenade * Needler * Energy Sword * Gravity Hammer * Storm Rifle * Beam Rifle * Concussion Rifle * Light Rifle * Binary Rifle * Suppressor * Boltshot * Scattershot * Pulse Grenade Do what do you guys and girls think? Let me know in the comments.
  4. This is a good direction for 343. Most people including me want Firefight back. If it isn't in Halo 5, we're not going to be too happy with the game.
  5. So true, just look at Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein, Half-Life, Duke Nukem, Marathon, Resident Evil and some other violent video games like that. Do they seem very appropriate for childen; hell no. They're M rated games because of Violence that contain Blood and Gore
  6. AAs aren't returning in Halo 5; thank god. I as well as others have always hated AAs. I can't wait to see all the butthurt comments from all the noobs that liked them.
  7. Shoot I don't know where to start. I like a lot of ideas that the people on here posted and I also like my idea.
  8. You could be right but from all the games that I played, I never once got a headshot with an automatic weapon even when I was accurately aiming for the head. When I said that automatics should be headshot capable, I mean that you should be able to instantly kill your opponent who has no shields with one simple headshot. Then would make sense because after all, all headshots instantly kill in other games as well as real life. Why not implement them in Halo. It wouldn't hurt gameplay by any means.
  9. Real quick before I start my topic off I want to apologize for what I did in my last topic. I know that what I did was wrong but can you all sympathy to forgive me? I just got overly excited. What I said still goes. I still think that Halo needs to go back to it's roots, but that's just my opinion though. Anyway I want to go over things that I would like 343 to implement in Halo 5. Feel free to agree or disagree and explain why. This is a list of things that 343 could implement if they want without hurting the game. 1. Automatic weapons are headshot capable All automatics will have the capability of finishing off your opponent or enemy with a headshot when they're weak. This would increase the skill gap because if you want to get a headshot with an automatic you need to burst fire and aim for the head. This would make the game more interesting since you can now get a headshot with an automatic weapon as well. This would also increase the pace of the game. This is something that Halo could try adding because it doesn't make any sense that a weapon that fires projectiles rapidly can't finish you off with a headshot when you're weak. Halo would benefit from this feature if 343 adds it. 2. Being able to switch weapons that are duel-wielded If you're duel-wielding 2 weapons and you want to switch to a different weapon, then you would be able to without dropping one of the duel-wielded weapons. This wouldn't be necessarily unfair since you have to pick them up off the map when you find then. You also still wouldn't be able to use grenades and the duel-wieldable weapons wouldn't spawn everywhere on a map. 3. Being able to melee in duel-wield mode without dropping a duel-wielded weapon You would be able to melee attack an enemy while you're duel-wielding 2 weapons. This would finally take care of the annoying issue where you drop one of your duel-wielded weapons when you go to melee your opponent to finish them off. This wouldn't by any means make duel-wielding OP, it would just make it better. 4. Dropping a duel-wielded weapon by pressing the left button on the directional pad By simply pressing the left button on the directional pad when duel-wielding, you'll drop one of the duel-wielded weapons. This would help gameplay. It would prevent accidental duel-wieldable weapon drops from happening. If you want to drop a duel-wielded weapon you would now have to press the left button on the D-Pad. 5. Pressing down on the D-Pad lowers any weapon that you have out You would be able to finally lower your weapon without holding down numerous buttons. It would greatly help gameplay if you were playing a Forge game such as Indiana Jones. So far this is my list of changes. If I think of anything else I put that down. Let me know what you all think and what new features you'd like to see in the next Halo game.
  10. This is how they can get me to buy Halo 5. • No Sprint • No Loadouts • No Instant Respawn • No Join-In Progress • No Hit-Markers • No Killcams • No Grenade Indicator • No Specializations • Descope returned • Friendly Fire returned • In-Game CSR returned Etc...
  11. Happy Gilmore, you really don't have common sense do you? You can't compare Spider-Man to Spartans because they are completely different. To say that it wouldn't be realistic to take out Sprint is stupid. I as well as others are so sick and tired of hearing "we're Spartans, we should be able to Sprint" argument. It doesn't give one reason why Sprint is good. All it does is prove how much you and others have no clue what you're saying. Sprint as well as other features such as Loadouts, Armor Abilities, Instant Respawn, etc... are what's killing the franchise. By the way, if you suck at Halo then either improve your game or maybe Halo isn't for you, but don't blame the game for you being trash. Also I as well as others would love to stick around Halo 3, but there's only one problem about that. Halo 3 isn't going to be around forever, so we need the next titles to be like it. If you don't like that, then maybe you all should leave, how about that. Also Happy Gilmore, you can nowadays compare Halo to Call Of Duty because of the features, so eat that. You clearly proved that you have no common sense and that you really don't know what's best for Halo. I'm starting to think if you as well as others defending 343 really are Halo fans, because what I'm getting out of this is that you only came over to Halo once it started copying Call Of Duty. If so then leave and go back to your own game and quit ruining ours. You are such a joke. You make me sick.
  12. That's wrong about Halo 4 Self Destruct. The playlist still isn't classic therefore it' can't be considered good. Are you that narrow-minded Vita Scaletta? Halo 3 is a good game and I've went back to it, but the population isn't what it was at the beginning anymore. Once Halo 5 comes out there hardly be anyone playing it then. Halo 3 will be 8 years old before long meaning that the game isn't going to be around forever. Telling me and others to go back to a game that's almost 8 years old is very stupid and close-minded of you to say. We shouldn't have to go back to a game that's 7 years old just to enjoy Halo. We should be able to go to a new Halo game expecting no different than the last titles. You as well as others like you are sickening and are helping to ruin Halo.
  13. Yes BucunShulf. Forcing everybody to spawn with the same weapon despite the fact that some people suck and others are good is completely fair. I'd rather the game go by whoever is the better player wins. If you as well as other don't like that, then you can leave and go play COD where everybody is a winner. As for me and most other fans of Halo we want our game to be successful and in order for that to happen, we need to permanently remove things that don't belong such as Sprint, Loadouts, Armor Abilities, Instant Respawn, Join-In Progress, Killcams, Perks, etc... If 343 makes Halo 5 like Halo 2/3 they'll win back most of the core fans while losing players from other franchises that came over when Halo 4 implemented things that ruined the game. Let's just hope that happens with Halo 5. I as well as the other core Halo fans would rather lose the new players and gain back the old players than the other way around.
  14. On a side note, this is 343's last chance to get everything right again. If they don't most of us are pretty much done with the Halo series. So it's very important that 343 makes Halo 5 like Halo 3 without Equipment and High Spread. 343 can't afford to make one more drastic mistake like they did with Halo 4 or the Halo franchise as we know it is finished. So to all you people blindly praising and defending 343 for their works, you are a joke. Most of us gave legitimate reasons for why Halo is dying and some of you still want to kiss 343's behind. Some of you just make me as well as the majority sick. How can you honestly say that Halo is doing just fine when the series is dying before your very eyes. If the Halo franchise does die completely and Halo 5 comes out as a terrible game that's basically Halo 4.5, then you people defending and praising the developer is also to blame because you gave 343 terrible ideas and they implemented them.
  15. BaconShelf, I'm not going to reply to your lack of intelligence. Elite, you clearly have no common sense at all. Do you really think that I'm the only one that hate the features that were put into Halo: Reach and Halo 4? If you do, then I'm very sorry that you have not clue what you're saying. You want to know why Sprint is bad, here's my list of reasons for why it's bad for Halo: Sprint easily gets you out of situations that you should've died in (in other words it's a get out of jail free card), Sprint dumbs down maps (developers have to make bigger maps for Sprint to work which in turn mean most of the maps are going to be terrible), Sprint ruins call outs (by the time that a teammate lets another teammate know where the enemy is at the enemy has already Sprinted away), Sprint ruins map control (not only do you have to get to a power position first, but once you're already there you have to constantly check behind you because of Sprint), Sprint promotes double-beat down killing (your opponent can now Sprint around a corner and spam the melee button without any skill required), and Sprint isn't Halo. I can go on all day, but I'm going to make things short and simple. By the way I as well as most other Halo fans would rather you and the rest of the COD, Battlefield, and Casual crowd go instead of the True Die Hard Halo Fans to. We don't need COD, Battlefield, and Casual players playing Halo. We need Die Hard Competitive Halo Fans playing Halo.
  16. OMG Treason, do you have proof of what you said? If not then you're just making assumptions. As for you saying that Halo should stray from the core gameplay; seriously. I sure hope that you were kidding when you said that. Straying away from core gameplay is something that Halo can't afford to try anymore. If COD players don't like what Halo is, then they can do all of us true Halo fans a favor and leave. We don't want them in our game anyway.
  17. Twinreaper, you didn't prove anyone wrong. All that you proved is that you don't know what you're talking about. I'd greatly appreciate it if you would quit blindly praising 343.
  18. Yes you are wrong Silent Orbis. Just because Call Of Duty uses those multiplayer gameplay features it doesn't mean that they'll work for Halo. I as well as many others don't want Call Of Duty features in Halo. They don't work and they don't belong. Haven't you and others realized by now why Halo's population has drastically dropped or are you still going to lie to yourselves and say that 343 did a good job? If you keep praising bad decision making, nothing is ever going to be done about it. The complainers are addressing issues that need to be dealt with, but the sheep keep blindly following bad ideas. The truth is they made a bad mistake putting things that didn't belong in Halo into the franchise. You don't believe me go look on Halo Waypoint, Team Beyond, and any other Halo website and you'll clearly see that most of the fans talk about why it was a bad idea to put in Sprint, Loadouts, Ordinance Drops, Instant Respawn, Armor Abilities, Perks, Flinch, Bloom, etc... and why them things need to be removed. There's also a voting poll for keeping them or removing them. Guess what, most people voted for them to be removed while a small percentage voted for them to stay. Does that convince you? Most fans want Halo to go back to the way that it used to be. People don't want Halo to be like any other game. If we want to play a game with Call Of Duty features, then we would play Call Of Duty. We didn't buy Halo just so we could play a COD-clone or a game trying to be Cod-like, we bought Halo so that we could play Halo. We don't need COD players playing Halo, we just need Halo players playing Halo. Before you and/or anyone else says "Call Of Duty is more popular and it makes more money," save it. That's not a reason for games to be something they're not. If Halo 5 is a return to Classic gameplay similar to Halo 2/3, we'll lose a lot of new players but we'll gain back the core audience and we might even gain some new players that are from other competitive games. Let's hope that this happens because the Halo franchise can't afford to make another huge mistake like Halo 4. Halo: Reach had a lot of problems with it, but not nearly as much as Halo 4 did.
  19. I'll make things perfectly clear I'm not making a hate thread, so if anyone gets on my thread looking for trouble then please just leave and save everybody else the trouble. If anybody is going to leave a comment basically insulting me, then I'm just going to ignore you. Anyway, on to my point that I'm going to make. Of course most of you already know how bad things looked for Halo after the release of Halo 4. At first there was a lot of hype for the game, but after a while that hype turned into disappointment. Most players were hoping for Halo 4 to be a return to classic gameplay but sadly the game just made things worse than what Halo: Reach did. Many fans left Halo after Halo 4 was out for a couple of months and have not returned back to the game ever since. People have also been saying that they're done with Halo. Others said that Halo 5 will be 343's last chance to make things right. So I'll also put my opinion into it as well. I didn't really like Halo 4 that well either. It felt rushed. It was incomplete. There were balancing issues, bugs, etc.. with the game. I as well as most other Halo fans couldn't stand it and prefer Halo 3 much better. The way I see it, 343 will have to make Halo 5 much better than Halo 4 if they want their franchise to survive. If Halo 5 is a continuation of Halo 4, I as well as others are through with Halo all together. It's very important that Halo 5 is like Halo 3 or else the Halo franchise is done. I'll now personally give a list of what I want for Halo 5. * The complete removal of Sprint * The complete removal of Loadouts * The complete removal or Perks * The complete removal of Hit-Markers * The complete removal of Instant Respawn * The complete removal of Join-In Progress * The complete removal of Armor Abilities * The complete removal of Ordinance Drops * The complete removal of Grenade Indicator * The complete removal of COD Point-Based System * The complete removal of Specializations * The complete removal of Spartan Points * The complete removal of Bullet Magnetism * The complete removal of COD Progressive Ranking System * The complete removal of Killcams * The complete removal of Mantis * The complete removal of DMR * The complete removal of Weapon Indicator * The complete removal of Bloom * The complete removal of Weapon Skins * The complete removal of Commendations * The complete removal of Powerup Indicator * The complete removal of Spartan Ops * The complete removal of Boltshot * The complete return of Descope * The complete return of Halo Scoring System * The complete return of Equal Starts * The complete return of Weapon and Powerup Placement * The complete return of Red X's * The complete return of Friendly-Fire * The complete return of In-Game 1-50 CSR System * The complete return of Dual-Wielding * The complete return of Separate Playlists such as Ranked, Social, Community, and Cooperative * The complete return of Elites in Multiplayer * The complete return of Firefight * The complete return of other gametypes such as Assault, Territories, Juggernaut, Infection, VIP, Stockpile, Race, Headhunter, and Invasion * The complete return of other weapons such as SMG, Bruteshot, Grenade Launcher, Spike Grenade, Incendiary Grenade, Flamethrower, Missile Pod, Plasma Rifle, Spiker, Focus Rifle, Mauler, Plasma Launcher, and Trip Mine * The complete return of other vehicles such as Hornet, Chopper, Prowler, Spectre, and Elephant * The complete return of maps such as Blood Gulch, Last Stand, Guardian, Ascension, Blackout, Sandtrap, Sandbox, Snowbound, and Standoff * The complete return of Halo 3 style Military Ranks * The complete return of Win/Lose Progressive Ranking System * The complete return of The Arbiter in Campaign * The complete return of Forge World * The complete return of Terminals in Campaign * The complete return of Skulls in Campaign * The complete return of Campaign Scoring * The complete return of Halo 3 Style Theater Mode * The complete return of Search Options in Matchmaking * The complete return of Pysch Options in Matchmaking * The complete return of Halo 3 Style difficulty
  20. Adapt or Die? Are you that narrow-minded? Halo's population is in a huge decline because of the crap that they put in Halo 4. Telling me and others to adapt to broken gameplay is just like telling someone to eat a slice of pizza covered in vomit. Also saying that I as well as others should move on if Halo doesn't suit our tastes anymore is going to far with your rudeness. Have you even been paying attention to what most of the true Halo fans including me have been saying or are you so close-minded that you ignore the fact right before your very eyes. Most Halo fans said that Halo 5 is 343's last chance to get it right and if they mess up again, they said that they're pretty much done with Halo. Victory Element, I stopped taking you seriously when you said adapt. What you said is like saying "well the game is broken to oblivion, but you should accept it." Since when did me being a Halo fan mean that I have no right to voice my concern about the direction that Halo is headed. You clearly don't like it that me as well as others thinks that Halo 4 isn't all that good. I'm done arguing with you.
  21. No you came off rude first Silent Orbis. Whenever you say to someone "what are you smoking" then you're just asking for trouble. Again quit being so narrow-minded and blind to the fact that Halo 4 is awful. The moment that 343 added noobish gameplay features that compromised the fairness of Halo, you knew already that Halo 4 was doomed from the start. 343 was too busy catering the game to noobs and not concerned about what damage it could cause to the franchise. They should've never added Sprint, Loadouts, Perks, Armor Abilities, Ordinance Drops, Instant Respawn, Join-In Progress, Flinch, Weapon Waypoints, Specializations, Spartan Points, Point-Based System, Progressive Ranking System, Hit-Markers, Bullet Magnetism, High Aim-Assist, Bloom, DMR, Mantis, Automatic Flag, Ball, & Bomb Pickup, and Flagnum. They should have kept them things out of the game. What they should've kept is Descope, In-Game CSR, Separate Playlists such as Ranked, Social, Community, & Cooperative, Firefight, Other gametypes, Other vehicles, Other weapons, Other Armor, Elites, Skulls and Terminals in Campaign, Campaign Scoring, Equal starts, Weapon placements, Friendly Fire, Military Style Ranks, Ranking system that goes by Wins/Losses different from the CSR, Perfect weapon balancing, Red X's, Scoring System similar to the past Halo games, Forge World, etc... Those are reasons why Halo is on a decline. 343 thought that they could get away with screwing over the true Halo Fans, but in turn all it did was kill their game. So why do you keep defending the game? It's not that great and it was rushed. The developers didn't take the time to think about the impact that their decisions would have on the community. If you can't accept the fact that Halo is dying because of the bad stuff that was introduced in Halo 4 then I don't know what to say, they have you as well as others fooled.
  22. Silent Orbis, if you're going to be rude and start trouble all because of what I said, just leave already. You're wasting your time as well as others by being rude. If you would have took the time to understand what I was trying to say, then you would have realized that the things that I listed are still issues with the game as well as others. It's not just me that still isn't please with Halo 4, look at what a lot of other people if not most have to say about it as well. 343 had the chance to fix everything wrong with Halo 4, but instead they did a half-efforted job at doing so. What are you smoking, do you really think that the game is much better than it was before? If you do, then are sadly mistaken because people are still leaving Halo 4. Also the people that left haven't returned ever since they left. By the way if you think that the Battle Rifle isn't overpowered, then look at this video. This is proof that the Battle Rifle is overpowered because of how ridiculously easy it is to use. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3xtY4O6iDs Yoshi1176, I get what you're trying to say, but the point is that 343 tried to cater the game towards Call Of Duty players and in turn it did nothing but hurt the franchise. 343 had the chance during the updates to fix all the problems with Halo 4, but they didn't do a complete job of it. Most people wanted them to fix the rest of the problems with the game as well, but they didn't. The only reason why they gave us the weapons update is to shut us up so that they wouldn't have to hear us complain. Even the weapon update was poorly done. They're not truly listening to the community like they claim to be.
  23. Listen guys, I wasn't just complaining about the game. I'm giving some reasons for why the game is still terrible. 343 had the chance to fix everything with the update but they didn't. Now Halo 4 is even more dead than it's ever been. All they had to do is remove all of the BS in multiplayer in all gametypes or give us a playlist with Classic Settings, but they didn't. The point that I'm trying to make is that if they would have made every weapon useful, made sniping harder, made using all the weapons harder, made vehicle stronger, made new gametypes & kept them in the game, made a playlist with Classic Settings, remove the Plasma Pistol, Boltshot, DMR, Light Rifle, & Plasma Grenades from Loadouts, put the CSR in the game, made the CSR a Win/Lose-based system, and much more, then Halo 4 would have regained it's multiplayer numbers. But 343 ignored most of the community and they haven't been listening to their fanbase and because of that Halo is dying. Just look at the numbers.
  24. Let me just start off by saying that I've been a fan of Halo since Halo: Combat Evolved. I've enjoy every Halo game from there, even when Halo: Reach came out. There were complaints about how the Campaign and Multiplayer were. Other than that, it was still a fun game to play. However when Halo 4 came out, there were lots of complaints and issues about the game, which by the way a lot of them still exist. The biggest problem with the game is how easy 343 made the game. The game is so easy that anybody, especially noobs can pick up the game and go on winning streaks and think that they're good. Here are my complaints as well as others about the game still. * Sniping is ridiculously easy * Certain Perks especially if they're with another one like them can give players an unfair advantage * The Boltshot is still overpowered * Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades are still in the Loadouts * The Assault Rifle is still overpowered * There's still too much Aim-Assist * Bullet Magnetism is still in the game * The DMR is still in the Loadouts * Active Camo is still in the Loadouts * The CSR doesn't go by Wins/Losses * The Needler is overpowered * The Railgun is too easy to use * The Battle Rifle is too easy to use * There are no Classic Settings * The SAW is now overpowered * The Suppressor and Storm Rifle are practically useless * There are missing gametype still * The developers keep taking out gametypes * The Light Rifle and Carbine are practically useless * The Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, and DMR are overpowered I could go on all day about why this game still is terrible and failing, but I'm just going to give some examples. Before any Halo Fanboy decides to put some dumb and immature post on my topic, do yourself a favor and just leave. I have no time for your childish games and you're only wasting my time as well as others. For the rest of you, I hope that you found this useful. Feel free to agree or disagree, but do it in a polite manner. No flaming please.
