  1. Sorry I hadn't been able to get on my computer, but I'll start it up tomorrow. Send me a friend request, and we'll see when the best time to begin is.
  2. Friday's hot sauce chips. They have to be the best in the world, well besides Doritos' spice & sweet chips. I can never decide!
  3. In ODST, it feels kinda like a free roam within the city... I'm pretty sure that's as close as you'll get for Halo.
  4. Welcome to the community, I'd like to see what you're creating in forge. If you ever have time send me a message, and I'll join as soon as I can.
  5. I've been rapping for about seventeen years okay? I don't write my stuff anymore, I just kick it from my head. You know what I'm saying? I can do that. This Forum is for posting what you think is good music, and what is bad. Share songs, and just let people know about different music that you think others should know about. Debate on why you feel the way you do on the grounds of the genres of music such as Reggae, Rap, Rock, Wub Wub, Country, House, Party music, and what ever else tickles your fancy. No discrimination, just for fun, sharing, and over all to broaden the views of music in general for all to see. Personally I have to say that my favorite song is "Sail" by AWOL Nation. I follow Tech N9ne, Nirvana, Kid Cudi, Muse, and a bunch of other bands. I like to chill at home plug in my iPod, and play some good ol' Halo 4, while listing to some instrumentals. People may say that Rap is crap, but I can't say that I agree. Atmosphere, has to be one of my favorite groups. I can count on one thing in life, and that has to be that music will always surprise me, and can form to any situation, that I need it to.
  6. I'd say that it would be great for the flood game-type, and would fit the setting too. Also I think that KOTH would play beautifully, by forcing players to move out of specific areas to win. Though I am not sure as of how well it will play for slayer, or CTF. Great job though, and I really did enjoy watching it!
  7. Great map! I do however think that the LOS are a bit long especially with a 4v4 game-type. I really think this map could have a bit more sight blockers, but besides that I really enjoyed watching the video, and looking at the pictures. I hope to see more out of you, because you've got real talent, just a few minor tweaks, and you'll be forging like a pro!
  8. Got to say I like it a lot, but at calling it competitive, I really wouldn't grade it too highly. Personally I would of put it into the Aesthetic category, but I've been wrong before. Keep up the good work I like it, and push for even better!
  9. L A M B D A Description When the U.N.S.C. first landed on the Onyx planet they were filled with chaos, and turmoil. Luckily through power, numbers, and tactics, the military finally gained control of this Forerunner planet, that intrigued scientist from all corners of human civilization. After years of studding one of the known Forerunner land control stations, one of the scientists accidentally activated an earthquake that cut a ravine in the small island. This had forced the scientists to look more closely at the geological patterns happening at that particular station. Hastily they built a small research facility that would detect any strong wavelengths, and report them to the scientists for evacuation to save any lives that might of been lost. After the completion of the station they named it "Lambda" after the Greek symbol λ, which means wavelength in the Scientific community. 10. Actually I have a video of a map I made. I don't think it was ranked fairly, compared to the other competition's maps, but oh well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qSOJZAW58_A
  11. Well if it makes you feel any better I remember you from yesterday in the shout box, and you seemed to be a cool kind of guy at that. Just to throw it out there I used to live in Ireland, so all your gibberish seems to be bloody fun to me ol' chap! Nice to see you, and have a great time in the forums.
  12. Hey man how's it going? I'm new to the community as well, but I'll let you know that this is already proven to be a great site for social, competitive, and just about anybody who has love for Halo. Have a great day, and hope to see you around buddy.
  13. I typically build asymmetrical 1v1 maps, that connect to already built in structures. My first thing I do is scavenge out an entire map looking for areas that already have great aesthetics, and start from there. My next step is to start on the side that is closest to a built in wall so I don't get flustered trying to find out ways to fill in that specific area and eventually make it look worse than if I had started there. After I develop a nice looking structure there I mentally plan out where the boundaries of the map itself are going to be. Then I slowly make progression in one direction until I feel that the base idea of what I am looking for is complete. Continue that step until you have about half or more of the base layout complete. Then I start viewing where I want the Line of sights to be on that particular part of the map. This will help you with Aesthetics when you are first experimenting with ideas. After you finish that you will be a lot easier for the other half of the map, because the rest is just what looks like it fits in, and what doesn't. After you get the basic idea of where you think that the basic layout is complete, start looking for ways to make the map look better, by adding color, and trimming to your map. When you are finally finished with all of that, do spawn locations, that is one of the most important things to do, and you need to know where people should spawn, and where they shouldn't, where they should face, and where they shouldn't . After this depending on the size of the map, and by how many people will be playing it on a normal basis, find an appropriate amount of power weapons. Make sure that controlling one will not gaurantee a victory. Also the Power weapons need to be at a fair distance from all players initial spawn, or balanced accordingly. After you place the rest of the normal weapons, make sure you can't break the map, you finally have a forge map you can be proud of!
  14. Thank you all for the warm welcome you gave me. I don't always see communities this friendly; in fact, a lot of them are really "fascist" in a sense to hate anyone who isn't like them. So thanks again for the hellos, and I am truly proud to say I am a member.
  15. I have something even better. Go to my file-share in Halo Reach, check out "Aquarius", "Escalation", then go to Halo 4, and check out "Lambda", I also remade Halo 3's "Guardian", but I really couldn't get the entire feel of it just because of the object use , and budget they gave me. I think that will be proof enough. Well until I can get back on live then I can personally show you. :3
  16. Personally I agree with you on the terms that it isn't as good as Halo Reach's, but if you know what you're doing you can make a beautiful map, that plays well too. My main problems with it are the copy, and paste from Halo Reach to Halo 4, the monochromatic styling of the forge pieces, and the bumps and ridges within the objects themselves. I do however like some spots of the built in forge maps that you can use to your advantage to make aesthetically pleasing maps. Though I don't blame it all on just forge alone. One of my biggest problems is the instant respawn attribute. I tend to make 1v1 slayer based maps, so I can incorporated detail within my maps, but because of the inta-respawn I have to either make my map bigger, or create more lines of sight and movement points. I am hoping they will come out with a setting or game-type to remove that, but frankly I doubt it. My favorite idea would be to have all the tools from Halo 4, and mix it with all the maps, and objects Halo 3 had to offer.
  17. Hey guys I'm new to this community, and would like to formally say "Hello". My gamertag is nu 1oo, and you can find me playing Xbox just about every single day. I am planning to become a graphical designer, like my brief description states " I have just recently started learning c++, and Java script, and soon I would be excited to start even HTML.". So my main topic I will be posting in is forging. I am truly what one may call a nerd., and I am very proud to be one. Some of you may have already noticed that I have started a free tutoring service for forging too, and it's free! (Here's the link if anybody is interested Click Here) So far with who I've talked to, and just through navigating through the site, I can't say that I dislike anything so far, and frankly proud to call myself a member. Thanks for reading, and I am really excited to becoming an active member of this society.
  18. Hey guys it's Noes N Toes, or nu 1oo if you know me from Xbox. Some of you may be asking yourselves, "Why is this rookie advertising tutoring when none of us know how great of a forger he is?" For that question I have one simple answer. You'll just have to sign up to figure it out. I have literally been forging since I was 11 back in the ol' days of Halo 3, and what I'm forging now makes that look like the most hilarious joke you ever heard. I can't assure you that I am the best, because I have seen better. (but not by much) If I am wrong about being a great forger, then I'll hang up the monitor, and call it quits on both this website, and forging altogether. If that's not incentive enough to believe me, well I'll just have to pay you back the $0.00 that you paid for these lessons. Before you start: Teaching how to make slayer based maps 1v1's-4v4's mainly Tutoring Starts on February 01, 2013 @ 2:00pm through 5:00pm Tutoring is free Each client gets an one hour time frame Each client has one week of tutoring until next sign up No tutoring Sat through Sun Basis of first come first serve (No exceptions) How To Enroll: Leave a message in the comments below briefly describing why, and what you need help in Leave your gamertag, and any other Xbox Live info needed about you Leave the hour that you want to start If you don't have a Headset I will NOT provide tutoring (That means you Kinect mic users) Areas To Improve In: Design Aesthetics Line of Sights Weapon Placement, and respawn time Spawning Tactical Jumps Leveling Lag prevention Flow Anything Extra: If I can not make it to either a hour, or day I will post in this forum, and let each of the people know via Xbox Live message. Any other ideas or commentary you want to add know that the comments are not just for signing up. I am hoping for a new circle of fellow forgers, and friends. This charity is for the improvement of the future of Graphical Designers, and the help to push the genius out of each and every person I help. I might be new, but it's because I'm "nu 1oo"
