  1. I guess it's the rate of fire where the magnum shines. I personally get many kills with the magnum, because in close quarter bouts, three shots followed by a melee is a quick kill that mid-range precision rifles and AR's can't compete with.
  2. My original xbox too stopped reading HALO 4, and even started scratching any disc I put into the console subsequent HALO 4. I don't know if HALO had anything to do with it, but I purchased a new xbox. I doubt there is really much you can do about it to be honest, but good luck.
  3. There is a proper way to address your concerns without coming off as arrogant. That said, I do agree with some of the points you mentioned here, but understand, there is no need for "trash-talking." Like in any sport, e-sports are no different; players should have good sportsmanship and overall enjoy the game, not the trash talking. 343 has done nothing to "ruin" this game. I'm still amazed that people won't give 343 a chance. HALO 4 has only been out now for like two and a half months! Give it some time everyone.
  4. For the most part I find them trivial, they are not completely useless. At the end of each specialization rank (level 10) you unlock a new loadout ability. For example, tracker lv. 10 allows you to essentially re-roll your ordnance drop for a new set of weapons. Rogue sounds the best though, it minimizes the amount of turbulence you receive when taking shots.

    I still think it would be more practical to remove ordnance drops all together since it's rewarding players who are already dominating to help them dominate more. However, I guess in correspondence, ordnance drops can be seen as a form of map control. I don't think it was necessary to take the pistol away as a starting secondary weapon, but they would have to remove the bloom on it a bit, as right now it's a bit of a spray-and-pray weapon. Lastly, I think certain armor abilities should just be load-out ready, for example, thruster pack should just be available right from spawn in my opinion. It adds an interesting dynamic to spartan movement that hasn't been seen in any other HALO game yet. Others like Promethean vision should be ordnance drop armor abilities, but that's just my opinion.
  6. As awesome as the teleport AA sounds (the one mentioned from the code in Crimison map pack), it would render things like the thruster pack (probably jet pack too) completely useless. Teleporting through walls....come on lol.
  7. My theory is that the game is just rendering too much at once and can't keep all the data synchronized together without a bit of latency. HALO 4 isn't the only game that was plagued by this, Firefight in Reach had the same issues for me (though not as bad, but still noticeable), and games like Super Smash Brothers Brawl also had this issue.
  8. Ya hopefully when the fileshare is back online and ready to go, people would have already made a good amount of forge creations and we'll have a good pick at variety. It's sad that such a AAA title like Halo 4 couldn't have all these features available from the get go.
  9. I'm amazed at some of the things that pepole find to complain about. Does the medal system really have any bearing what so ever on the performance of playing? Yes, I'm aware that matchmaking has its issues lol
  10. This just happened today, I'll have to take a look in the morning to see if this is the case for me as well. Can anyone else confirm this issue? It sounds like a gltich but who knows.
  11. It's not like XP will really make a difference in the end anyway. However, from your perspective, I'd imagine you mus be competitive? In which case, practice and improve your abilities above all else. When ranked playlists come (and they will), you will have an edge over the competition because of your time spend practicing and honing your skills.
  12. Even though this feature existed in Reach, I don't feel it would apply well to HALO 4. The reason being, in other HALO variants (e.g., 2, 3) there were no spartan abilities like "sprint, jetpack, etc.). The maps in HALO 4, are centered and designed around these armour abilities. It would take less than 3 seconds for an ambush of spartans to be at a location of where gunfire would be taking place. This would severely cripple the 1v1 metagame in my opinion.
  13. I can't wait till they bring Doubles back. Nothing like having your best mate over and doing some 2v2 lol. It's kind of a mstery why they didn't include it in the game to begin with, that subject has already had enough threads of controversy though lol.
  14. It's odd after reading countless threads like this, that my initial thoughts before the release of HALO 4 were right. I believe there isn't room in this game (or individual playlist for that matter) for the DMR and BR to coexist. The weapons are too similar, and the way to balance them in the scenario where they would be most suited for; DMR longrange vs BR mid-rane/close-range, would sway far more people to the BR. There is no reasonable compromise in my opinion to make everyone happy. Either the DMR should be a pickup weapon, or there should be no DMR/BR. Also I think the pistol has too much bloom lol.
