No Disney didn't do it. The story department at LucasFilms did. Disney didn't even tell them to do that. Also thanks to this all future Star Wars game are noq 100% canon

^What Bnus said, plus I like the idea of calling the stories that won't fit into the canon Legends, it's a lot better than just saying they never happened.
