They choose ranking systems like that to appeal to all gamer's with skill and to the unlucky few who dosen't have any.If you have skill then you will rank up faster. Overall I agree with Reach System,hopefully it is applied to Halo 4

Most likely,They might offer it in some sort of subscription like for halo 3 or just put it in Theater mode -
