Hey 343, here is what we we think about Cortana! (spoilers)

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself to become the villain." If chief doesn't die a heroes death, the rest of humanity will see him the same way Del Rio does, as outdated hardware. -
These are all questions that have reasonable responses but its too late so i think I'm gonna try to answer them tomorow, ok?

I don't think Chief can ever live happily ever after. As much as I want his adventures to always continue, I know that he's going to have to have a heros death. -

First off, don't say "we". This is what you think, not the community. And 343 did the plan the whole trilogy out, and Halo 5 is supposed to be the darkest game in the series. It would be darker if Cortana wasn't in it because chief would be depressed so I think we won't see her until Halo 6, and even though I honestly wouldn't want her back(even though I really like her character) because it would make her sacrifice seem less meaningful. -
It actually makes sense. When a forerunner decides what they want to do as an occupation, they recieved mutations that would assist them in that occupation. Prometheans gain special mutations, and sime the Didact is their leader, he must have gotten a special one, telekinesis

Halo 5 would be a darker title if Cortana wasn't in it because Chief would be depressed. That's what I'm saying, and that's what I think 343 is going to do. It would just feel wierd to get her back during the game. I think there needs to be at least one game before we get her back.

When Halo 4 and the Reclaimer Trilogy was first announced, 343 was asked about the rest of the trilogy, and all they said about Halo 5 was that it would be the darkest game n the series. That's such old news that I'm not even gonna put a source. And since Halo 5 is going to be darker, it would make sense if Cortana wasn't in it. Halo 4 was more cheerful than Halo 3 because Halo 3 had a feeling of despair and loneliness. With information that's been given to us, it would only make sense if Cortana wasn't in Halo 5

No she won't. Halo 5 is going to. Be the darkest game in the series, and the return of Cortana would only make it cheerful. Sorry but you're gonna have to wait till Halo 6.

They gave both games the scores they thought they deserved, and if they think Halo 4 is better than Black Ops 2, then that's reflected in the score.

The Didact didn't come out of nowhere, he's been a character in the series for 2 years. And he can levititate chief because he's a promethean, and they recieve brevet mutations, one of which would be telekenisis

Exactly. First strike is one of my favorite books in the series because it has so much to do with the games

Its th Ur-Didact because he fought in the Human-Forerunner War, and that wasnt spark in Promordium, but another monitor.

I absolutely love the idea of chiefs helmet rolling next to six's, but I'm not the biggest fan if Cortana becoming human. And if chief already fell in orbit once and survived, wouldn't it be more likely that the Didact, a promethean, could too? That was Sam, one of chiefs only friends. -

He was in the terminals in Halo 3, and he's been the most important character in the Forerunner Saga for the past two years, so we've had plenty explanation.

Thats not true. They only time it was said we were from forerunners was Spark at the end of Halo 3 and he said that vaguely. We now know humans and forerunners are two completely different species.

Chief isn't in the domain because Cortana isn't a forerunner ancilla. When the librarian said ancilla she just meant A.I., because if Chief heard the Didact through the domain, she would be able to hear him as well which she points out she doesn't. Chief has the Gaeas of the Didact, you know what that is since you read the novels, and its the most reasonable solution to why he hears the Didact.

The Didact can't be composed because in one of the terminals he mentions how he tried to go through procedures that would make it impossible for the flood to consume him. He says those tests failed, and when a promethean recommends he should compose himself, the Didact says the Composer will no longer work on him. So he went through the slip space portal, but he wasn't composed.
