  1. Obviously 343industries is going to do anything within their power to stop cheating/boosting/Modding. The reason nobody has asked this question and nobody has talked about it is because of how obvious a video game companies resistance and reaction towards cheaters will be. There are no dumb questions and don't ever feel like there are. Now this can develop into a debate about how cheaters should be handled. While I don't think this was ever the intention of the thread it doesn't matter. EDIT: The only way somebody could ever make me cheat is if doing so gave me something new (like a cardboard box chestpiece). So I do not think this would be a likely solution. I myself am in full support of reviving the Halo 3 banhammer. It seemed to work well enough.
  2. BTB is great. I love splattering people in the ghost or renevant. Plus you don't have to deal with all the MLG pro tryhards that are present in the other playlists.
  3. I will make sure to watch these when you do them. I reccomend reading some of the forerunner trilogy and any other Halo books you can get your hand on as well. I thought that I had a deep grasp on the Halo universe having played all the games avidly... but there's so much more to it that can be explored in the books.
  4. LOL this is something I would probably say to a teacher during class when they pose a stupid question XD Liked good sir.
  5. Its not so much a realism thing as a balancing thing. If you had a railgun that you could fire with just the press of a button it would be way to powerful. Same goes for the spartan laser and plasma launcher (which I do not believe is returning). Also in real life railgun technology works that way where you have to charge it before firing. So it is realistic too.

  7. Am I the only one who thinks that this might just be a terrible gameplay mechanic?
  8. http://cortana.net/ Check the source code and it says "Hah, I bet you were expecting a hidden message here weren't you."
  9. It should. Fans have been crying for its speedy return since Reach was first released. With 2 new drivable vehicles that we still have relatively no clue about (I don't think driving a mammoth is very likely) I could definatly see it returning. My only hope is that if it does return we should have the option to place it in forge maps. The possibilities for map design with an elephant are endless.
  10. This sounds like a wonderful addition. I was always annoyed at trying to shoot at an opponent from across Hemorrage only to not know if I actually hit anything. This will give a visual confirmation so that I can know if I am doing something right.
  11. Hopefully this doesn't mean that you can spawn with a sniper if you are a sniper specilization
  12. Yeah it's looking to be coming along quite well I used to feel the same way about the Firepower package. Then I examined it a little more. As a BTB player with 343industries recently confirming that the Plasma Pistol does stun vehicles and EMP shields, I believe that having the Plasma Pistol is vastly superior to any gains that could be made by having both the DMR and the BR at the same time. At least in gametypes with vehicles.
  13. Good to hear about the carbine getting nerfed. From the videos we have been seeing featuring the carbine it seemed to just annihalate people way too much. Also I would like to say that Thruster Pack isn't really a skillful version of the jetpack. Its the spartans version of evade. As for some of the comments about Hardlight Shield... Yes it is an armor ability not a perk. When you use it it casts a shield made out of hard light (lol) and blocks any incoming projectiles that hit it. We still have basically no clue as to what other things this shield can be used for. I wouldn't be suprised if it can be used to destroy vehicles also. I think it would be fine considering how much more skill it would take than the noobtacular armor lock AA from Halo Reach. Here is a picture for all who don't understand what it is in game. Liked @ the OP
  14. This is sort of old news. But yeah it looks amazing. Can't wait to see what people build in it.
  15. Welcome to the forums
  16. The problem with Drop Shield is that it hurt the map flow. Maps are meant to flow in a certain way continuously. When somebody used a drop shield it disrupted that flow as the person inside wasn't going anywhere and the players outside just sat there and waited for it to drop before swooping in for the kill. I believe this is why they took it as well as most of Reach's AA's out of Halo 4.
  17. The Promethean Knights look like they could be a challenge too fight with their teleportation and bashing ability. With 343i removing the flood from the game they will be needing a formidible foe to replace them. I think that the Prometheans can fill this role.
  18. Well I believe that you can get more kills per hour playing SWAT if your decent at it. And I imagine this would be very easy in grifball and snipers as well if you are good. And yes they have kill challenges everyday because it serves as a basic goal for what people should strive for in one day. At least I think that that is why they do it.
  19. Jetpack usually with an EMP or grenade launcher. Otherwise I try and get splatters in the ghost. I used to use armor lock, but jetpack lets you screw with vehicle drivers who want to splatter you.
  20. Vehicles always represent a credible threat. As a self proclaimed BTB Ground Pounder (Anti-vehicle specialist) you must destroy vehicles like renevants and warthogs before they can set up a trap around the outside of your base and spawns.
  21. Well it seems that people appear to be most interested in playing on Longbow. I for one do not dislike any of the maps. I just like Longbow more than the rest.
