Typically we'll schedule a time a couple days in advance and forge once we have a map design down. We should be pretty close on one map pretty soon. Sometimes we just get together randomly. The ark pictured at right is two fold. The "ball" in the middle is a 3d image of the damaged ark, like we are looking at it from space. The background is the same Ark, but a still from we played on it in Halo 3, before it was heavily damaged.

I have found that Halo Wars isn't exactly a great RTS, even on consoles. But the same rules for most RTS's still apply. build a larger economy/supply than your opponent and guard it. If you can out produce, especially in the late game, you will most likely win. Research/upgrade your stuff! Up grade your economy, defenses, and the main troops. Explore early, explore often. Know where your enemy is and what they are doing. You can typically get an extra minute or so to prep for an assault. Control chokepoints, and if you can't, patrol them If you control choke points and knows where and what your enemy is doing, you can mount early raids. Have a small number of counter units in addition to your main host. The counter units have one goal, flank and crush the opposing host, or raid enemy's economy or supply during a major battle elsewhere Don't be afraid to send a small division to its death if it pulls away the enemy host from a strong point Help your teammates, even if it means launching a crappy counterattack on an enemy base. It may be enough to scare them to pull back. Ambush!

Yeah, I was interested in this game since I saw it. I think it should be fun, but it may be "blown over" by other games.

Throughout the rest of June, Fable 3 is free to download for all Xbox Live Gold members. From E3 we were informed that starting July 1st, and ending with the release of the Xbox One in November, Xbox Live Gold members get to download two free games from a list of selected games. We would get a total of 8 free games, and we know Halo 3 and Assassins Creed 2 will be available. I have looked into the matter and have found two competing theories. 1: You can download the games anytime during the month. 2: You can download the first game from the 1st to the 15th, and the second from the 16th to the end of the month. Personally, this really doesn't matter, as long as I get my games. But I do have two questions: 1. What games do you think will be available? 2. Will the dlc for the games be free as well (or at least some of it). I believe we can expect to see older Call of Duty games, Battlefield, Lego, possibly more Halo games, and other initial title for the Xbox 360. I do not believe that Microsoft will be giving away a lot of dlc for free, but may discount it.

I swear I had responded to this. This is great! I'd love to help build this! Also, I came up with another idea. A competitive map with the theme of a lumberyard, with tree stumps as jumps and piles of logs scattered around the map. There would be a sawmill and a "storage area" for the lumber.

Guys, it's really simple. James Bond: Nightfire. A great shooter that came out around the same time as Halo CE. The game play is almost flawless, but some graphics updates and some spa2n tuning would make it amazing.

Ha! That's the complete opposite view of my parents. Their view is to get me to work more (which I'm fine with), and to make me work at home and at our cabin. The only reason I have more time to play games is because I don't have homework. School for me turns into Summer work.

I have constructed through Sketchup a basic diagram of the map I had in mind. I have to edit and clean a few things, but I should have it up within a day or so.

Well 343i may "drop forge" like they did with Halo 4, but Certain Affinity won't let them remove it. 343i didn't really work on forge, they contracted it out with CA to make it. As CA is a faction of Halo making Bungle that split off after Reach, they decided to make Forge for Halo 4 under a restricted budget (smaller than Reach's forge development budget) and also made the map packs for Halo 4. Because Halo is one of very few console games to have this specific or large of a "forge feature," it is a big, not the biggest, but a big selling point.

Well first things first, having 16 v 16 on Halo has been possible since Halo 3, but without dedicated servers, it would have a lot of problems, as large maps would be needed, and their would be frame rate issues. Could 12 v12 have been done? Yes, but a lot of effort would have needed to go into making it happen. I would be interested in seeing at least a 12v12 capability (or 24 player matches) in Halo 5. It would easily be done, and maps with a little extra space to allow for this wouldn't really hurt it if it plays similar to Halo 4. I hadn't heard about dedicated servers for Halo 5, so I would be very happy to see that come true.

$5 a month is the same as an Xbox live membership if you buy a year as normal price, but sales can lower Live membership to $3 a month or less.

While many people completely missed this comment, a few did over at Cheatcc. Instead, most people focused on Sony's main presentation strategy, how Sony isn't being like Microsoft in their next generation console. The comment in question regards the PlayStation Plus program with the PS4. When speaking of PlayStation Plus subscriptions, Tretton said that PS+ would allow players to, "immerse themselves (subscribers) in the incredible PS4 games with online multiplayer." And that means? It means in order to play online multiplayer on the PS4, you need to be a PS+ subscriber. The current subscription for one year of PS+ is $50, and works as a discount and special content center for PSN, similar to the free Xbox live Rewards program. The only difference on current consoles: PS3 online free, but pay $50 for benefits, or Xbox 360, pay $60 for online, but free benefits. If Sony does shift the PS4 to a mandated cost for online, by merging PSN and PS+, the playing field between the new consoles will be greatly leveled. One of the biggest advantages for Sony has been free online, but if that changes with the PS4,it could spell disaster for sales and player loyalty. More clarifying information is needed before this can be confirmed. No comment has been made by Sony on this speculation, but little attention has been on the PS4, and is instead focused on the unclear statements, rumors, abilities, and limitations regarding the Xbox One.

Basically: Cortana was "created" by Halsey underneath Castle base. She was tapping into Forerunner memory banks and using the knowledge (without understanding it) there in conjunction with UNSC AI programs and a replicated piece of her brain tissue. So she created an AI that thinks similar to her, but with UNSC knowledge and processing power, in addition to an underlying Forerunner tech that is unlocked through contact with Forerunner tech. So in Reach when Halsey says something to the effect of "It's something that will tip the war in humanity's favor" when talking about Cortana, she believes that the super AI she created will help MC and humanity stop the Covenant attack on Earth, not knowing that Fortuna would accidentally use the Forerunner knowledge to send the pillar of Autumn during the random slip-space jump movement to Halo during one of the jumps.

If we dewelve into Halo Lore, the books, and now Spartan OPs, Cortana will by all means be coming back. Cortana is a Foreruner AI running through the mind of Halsey. I believe Halo 5 will be about MC trying to get Halsey and the half of the Janus key from the Storm. Then, using the Janus key and through the discovery of new Forerunner technology and sites, the Chief will eventually become reintegrated with some sort of Forerunner AI similar to Cortana. It may not be her exactly, but the way she was "created" and "died" leaves the possibility that she will return, and not just some "shade AI" of her.
