  1. Why didn't we think of this when Microsoft told us they were going to be shutting down Original XBL servers?
  2. The online multiplayer not only defined H2, but every game to come after it. Every game.
  3. I think what you and I miss the most are the days of Halo 3. Nothing like getting online with that game, playing MLG for hours, playing customs all night and calling out with your "team" that never made it anywhere. I did what a lot of people did at that time, and if you didn't then that's just a shame. What a great game to get involved in.
  4. Good lord, this game has the most beautiful DLC that I have ever seen. It holds true to Halo more than any other Halo game made or all the maps on disc for Halo 4. That's just the truth. I wasn't really impressed with the playlist itself because of how many times I play that same map repeatedly, game after game. I think I played the same map about 5- 7 times before deciding I wasn't going to play it anymore.
  5. It's mostly ran by "competitive" kids at the moment and have no knowledge of what the old BR was capable of doing back in the old days. In my opinion, low population is low population. I don't want to take anything from anyone, but there has to be a way to bring more people into that small "competitive scene."
  6. I speak for everyone when I say; If he enemy has full shields, and you're one shot. Let's say you out BR this person. Yes, I will definitely bag your body like you wouldn't believe. I'd probably stay there, continuously bag the corpse until he came back around to try to take me down, only to ninja him. Am I right ladies?
  7. When I first started playing H4, I absolutely loved it. After the game stopped being considered as a 'new game' and saw how people reacted to it, I stopped feeling that way. However, I went back to other Halo titles for some old fun only to realize that it was time to move on. H3 days were over, Reach has come only to pass and of course H4 is here now. I accepted all of the things I didn't like about the game and just started playing to have fun. If you have been playing since H2 or H3, you're probably looking for those old competitive vibes which contributed to the beauty of Halo in every way. Those vibes have been crushed by other games and new features that 343 put into H4. Since I have moved on with my life, I no longer need that competitive aspect. Just enjoy the game and accept that the titles before H4 are old now. If not, H3 will be waiting for you like it always will. Such a beautiful game.
  8. You're just a moderator buddy, I don't think you have the power to be able to say what will and will not be removed in future games. I agree with OP because it can get a little frustrating knowing that people use different weapons to their advantages for particular maps. I'm being sarcastic of course. Azaxx, you're correct in saying that this has been the way for years but I would just like to point out that something could change.
  9. It's funny because most people like myself who didn't do much for valentines day, probably enjoyed this a little too much.
  10. You have 666 posts, I just HAD to like your comment here. The playlist is pretty rad because I simply never play it. I never have been a big vehicle user since the H2 days and even before then, I always felt like I stuck out and was targeted. With that being said, I have yet to play it but I'm sure a lot of people are really enjoying it!
  11. MLG always made the games better for me. I remember in the days of H3 I was literally search games of MLG all day long on summer breaks and rack up ridiculous amounts of EXP. At the time, I was focused on becoming a professional like a lot of other players at the time, which changed after Reach (with yet again MOST players.) As far as MLG goes, if H5 is a great game, I don't see why it wouldn't. I'm not bashing on the latest release because I actually really enjoy it. I also see that H4 just isn't really super competitive material though.
  12. Exactly. I feel like the game does have flaws, but so does everything else. The other games released before H4 were FANTASTIC. I'm just not a fan of the way Reach was played in multiplayer with bloom. Even after they fixed it, it just wasn't the way a game should have felt. Beautiful dark imagery, but it takes a lot more than beautiful graphics to make a great game. As far as H4 goes, I love it. The only thing I want to point out is all the INCREDIBLE maps that are DLC and nobody has them.
  13. For some strange reason, my thread was LOCKED because I wasn't hating on H4 like the rest of people. What's wrong with that picture HALO 4 IS AWESOME.
  14. H4 is awesome! It might have some problems but I like it. Come at me.
  15. 50s all around the table. I'm joking. 50s all around the table.
  16. It really is a bummer considering that if you have been playing for weeks like this, you could probably be at 60 or 70 by now.
  17. Storm Rifle is somewhat of a joke considering that the damage it does is very minimal in comparison to just about every other weapon to choose from in game. I hardly ever use an automatic weapon unless it's the SAW which I still prefer my BR over that anyway. Despite the fact that I use none, I'd have to pick AR.
  18. I find this one to be the most difficult one to deal with. You don't know if it's just a bad connection until repeatedly you miss that one player due to lag. Even then you wonder and probably sit through the entire game questioning if it's just due to a bad connection. I would like to say that it's H2 all over again, but you don't run into a hacker just about one in ever four games. You're free of hackers for the most part unless you're the unfortunate one.
  19. That's no rumor. I think we have that coming up either later this month or early February of 2014. That could be implemented into the H5 system but that would make things somewhat complicated and doesn't solve H4s problem. I think it's a good idea, but it just can't be done within H4s time.
  20. If they release H2 Anniversary, I will be very happy. Exactly like the original but maybe with better graphics. I know how graphics is a big deal for all the youngest of gamers.
  21. Population? There was never online! I'm joking Yes, there are lots of people who play this game for PC. There is one problem with the shot registration and that would be due to the fact that the game isn't meant for online play. For example, leading your shots in H3 was needed. If you were great at that, prepare your brain for the worst lag ever and lead your shots about half an inch on SCREEN to get a kill. This means if you take a ruler, put it up against your screen; as people walk, you'll need to shoot significantly ahead of them to get your kill. But good luck to ya lad.
  22. To me Halo has always been about the game. I might think it's a cool idea, but it wouldn't make the games any better or worse to me. I think all should be focused on how the next release of Halo will be rather than the next release of a film.
  23. That is not how I feel about the game. I had my memories with every game but most of my memories were held with H3. The community was very competitive, you could play MLG all day and feel like you learned something new after every game, great customs with friends, and just an overall classic Halo game. H4 to me is a GREAT game. When Reach came out, I was very excited. Though I hated he ranking system and wanted it replaced with the classic ranking system, that eventually wore my love for the game. So I left it and went back to H3. Finally moving on to H4 about 4 - 6 months ago, I love this game. I went back and forth but finally decided that Reach is by far my least favorite Halo game. Too many changes made to the Halo title which set it all up for H4 to make many more that I actually enjoy now. Unsure how I could ever imagine myself saying that even after 6+ years of H3 I finally found the game I needed to move on from. Try playing your favorite Halo game for over half a decade and I'm sure you would eventually start looking to move on as well. Halo 4 is a great game with mistakes just like any other Halo release and any other game. With H3 it was definitely the shot registration. If you four shotted someone, it wasn't guaranteed to add to your kills unless you had host connection. With Reach is was the bloom and Armor Lock that destroyed the fun for me. H2 was all the cheaters. No doubt. CE was flawless and vanilla. Point hopefully made clearly.
