So, I would like to start off by saying Assassin's Creed IV is visually stunning, from purple-violet skies on the midnight sails through the sea, to shining sunny days spent looting on the game's breathtaking jungles and shores, to even blistering winds and rains as you swing from ship to ship battering your enemies down with sharp quick blades and heavy cannons. You can expect this on both Next Gen and Last Gen, as playing the game on the PS3 only lead to slight graphical issues that were barely noticeable. You'll never be muttering to yourself, "Wow this game looks great for an original Xbox game!" when playing Assassin's Creed IV. The game even manages to keep it's stunning cutscene graphics in-game, as you'll never feel age with the game.

Next, we look at story. Without spoiling anything, you start out as the Pirate Edward Kenway, and are tossed ashore, where you are pushed into an intriguing plot of twists and turns involving the assassin order, as Edward fights for his own desires, making great friction in the game between him and other Assassins. Through-out the first three quarters of the game, you don't feel at all disappointed, rather, it's quite the immersive and adventurous narrative. The game immediately switches gears in the last act, and it just amps you up as you can't help but give a round of applause to Edward, and as well, it hits an emotional chord that you never expected from a game about betrayal and killing for your own goals. After playing, you sit down, pause for a moment, and ponder as to Edward's origins, and you'll become fixed on Edward's driving points, but the game has one scene that I refuse to spoil, that shows when it immediately brakes and does a right turn, this scene could be watched for hours on end and it's meaning could be wondered for years before we can decipher it fully, it succeeds as one of the most breath-taking events in a game I have seen in a long time.

Now, the actual gameplay. It keeps its familiar button mashing system, a tad disappointing to some, but just the flexibility and pure righteous fun of it kept me playing more. Ship to ship battles are hands down the most fun side activities to do in a game in 2013. Just the thrill of seeing this huge hulk of a man o' war, putting in all of your effort and speed, and taking it down is enough to make this game well worth $60. Money and Crafting play a huge part in upgrades, and you'll spend hours going around collecting items and cash to upgrade your ships, weapons, and character. This can get tedious at times, but it's satisfactory when you finally do it. In the end, the most innovative mechanic added was the whaling system, which I know received quite a bit of fire from PETA, though I think this is hilarious fun to fool around with. The biggest slap in the face the game has to offer is in it's ridiculously downgraded hunting, where it seems as though they just didn't have the time to bring back or improve upon the old system, as this was likely left until the last minute, and forced to be rushed out of the door by Ubisoft's publishing team.

Getting past that, we have multiplayer. Now I wasn't a fan of Assassin's Creed II's multiplayer, and Assassin's Creed IV follows the same system, so it's a mixed bag for me. I give them massive credit for adding the ability to make modes, and for having a polished multiplayer though. It feels very bland and uninteresting, nothing is driving you to keep playing. There's no real fun communication and large scale actual fighting, which doesn't at all fit Black Flag's massive battle system in the single player, though it does go along with the lines of traditional Assassination, so I give it credit there. Multiplayer needs to have more of a replay value, otherwise it is going to continue downgrading the games.

So wrapping it up, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is an incredible game, with a few flaws, but it's overall value far exceeds that of most $60 titles in 2013. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag earns an:

Arkham Knight, the exciting end to the Arkham legacy, as Rocksteady brings in their big guns and takes huge risks, like designing an entirely new villain in Batman's Enemies Roster. This information comes from a YouTube video on

The screenshot we get shows the Arkham Knight holding the Batman down on a rainy rooftop. We get a full view of his suit as he seems to hold a fire-arm, like that of a revolver, to batman's head or upper shoulder. This seems to be some sort of an execution-like cutscene, but knowing the Batman, this is likely not going to be a fatal scene in the game, though it may be critical to the plot and development of the Knight. Still, we can only draw theories for now.

Battlefield 4's initial launch wasn't the most seamless, and with a history of bad releases behind them, EA needed to step up their game and fix the broken launch as soon as possible, employing DICE to do the work. Today DICE has announced on Battlefield.com that an update previously coming to Xbox One on March 25th would be pushed back to an unconfirmed later date. Whether this is a few days, a week, or a month, we're not certain.

Since the update was released on other platforms, it was apparently supposed to fix stability and crashing, two major issues harped upon by critics and players, and adjust weapons and unlocks in-game. Considering no more information is available on what specifically the Xbox One update had in store, or when it will be released, we are still stuck in the dark as to whether the update will even see the light for some time.

In a large time jump for the series, Assassin's Creed V appears to have been leaked on Kotaku.com. The images show off 18th Century Paris and a wide array of Victorian terrain. The title has been code-named Assassin's Creed: Unity according to one of the leaked title images. Also according to the Kotaku writer, this is the Next Generation game, and there is another, codenamed Comet, coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Not forcing the Ubisoft team to work on both Next Gen and Current Gen with the same game, Unity will be designed to look and feel a lot smoother.

The launch of TitanFall for the Xbox 360 will be a two-week long delay, as revealed by a blog post on EA's official website, the game will now be released on April 8th (April 11, if you're in the UK.)

The reason for this delay is simply because Bluepoint studios needs a little more time to "deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players."

This delay may bring a bit of disappointment to those anxious to play Respawn's new FPS, but you can be sure its in the best interest of the community. (I'm sure no one at EA or Bluepoint wants to have a repeat of Battlefield 4's release problems)

AllGamesBeta.com, known for leaking previous Infamous: Second Son screenshots, has been updated with a special gallery containing photos from Rocksteady's final chapter in the Batman: Arkham Trilogy, excluding the prequel Origins, Batman: Arkham Knight. Particular photos showcase the game with beautiful graphics showing off the power of Next Gen. Lighting effects have been immensely upgraded in-game and character models are done much more realistically, such as the screenshot of the updated Riddler below.

Batman's new suit is fully showcased in it's shining silver and black gloss glory. Bruce himself looks much different from his Origins counterpart now that we get a full view of his body in the batsuit. The batmobile also has quite the paint job now, with a sleek midnight paint scheme and cyan lights, as it smashes through what looks like a car blockade. Commissioner Gordon looks quite old in a few shots, somewhat into the later half of his life, as we see one of the most prominent Batman villains, Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face. Neogaf user, Banjo-Kazooie recently revealed the improvements set to launch with the new update coming to the Xbox One in April.

The update (referred to in his post as 'Update 1404') includes a plethora of new improvements some of which will not be available in the initial 1404 update.

The updates and improvements coming to with the update are as follows:

• Game and app saves and updates. A game save progress bar will show you the status of your game saves. You will also be able to easily tell what games and apps are being updated or have been updated recently.
  
• Friends improvements. Notifications will be added to see when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live. This actually was one of the most frequently requested features from the first preview wave and we made it a priority to include it in the April update. Also, friends who are in multiplayer will be identified in the friends list. We’ll also add the ability to view friends’ most popular apps.
  
• Blu-ray 50 Hz video output support for content recorded at 50 Hz will resolve video playback issues some Xbox Live members in Europe are experiencing.
  
• Kinect voice and motion improvements will continue to fine tune the quality and reliability of Xbox One commands.
  
• Improved GameDVR video quality through compression algorithm improvements.
  
• Updates to Xbox One device management to address issues controlling TVs, set top boxes, and receivers that our customers have reported.
  
• New audio settings to tune how much volume is lowered when Kinect is used in communications.

Forza Motorsport 5 was met with critical success as somewhat of an early system seller for the Xbox One, with Dead Rising, as it received critical praise as one of the most beautiful games of 2013 and won Best Driving Game at the VGX. Naturally, driving fans and Forza fans are excited for what is in store for the game's future, which may be set in the Louisiana Bayou, a strange advancement from Forza 5's industrial city areas. The artist who leaked the photos hinting at the next game works directly with Dhurva Interactive, whom if you remember designed quite a bit of art for Turn 10 in Forza 4 and Forza Horizon. His reveal came directly from his cghub.com account where he leaked two photos reminiscent of the bays and bayous of the Deep South, possibly hinting at a new spin-off series like Horizon, or a Horizon sequel like was leaked much earlier this year.

To add fuel to the fire of a Horizon 2, team members at Playground Studios, who developed the original Horizon, claim to be working on an Xbox One title. One artist by the name of Simon Gibson, said that, "Responsible for overseeing the internal and external (outsource) production of all vehicles for for the project." Leading all of these links to point to a Forza Horizon 2 set in the Deep South Bays and Lakes, which could turn out well on the Xbox One's new capabilities for lighting effects.

An interesting design choice and change, but for those who enjoyed the open roads of Colorado and the banks and turns of Prague in Horizon and Motorsport 5, this might be one Forza to look at deeper before deciding on a purchase.

The popular RPG Open World series, the Witcher, was announced to be getting it's final chapter sometime in 2014. Today, news broke first on TheWitcher.com, the official site as the developers have announced the game is being pushed back, similar to Watch_Dogs' delay back in October of 2013. The developers made an open letter, not apologizing, but praising the game's now higher potential with the delay, and explaining the delay itself.

Exactly what they said in the open letter was, "We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015."

Seeing as the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now been, regrettably, delayed by another solid year, has this impacted your decision to pre-order now that more time will be going into the title?

Titanfall's grand launch on Xbox One and PC is fast approaching with the midnight release already happening in some places, so naturally, fans of the game wondered what the resolution would be, seeing as it is so late in the pre-release window. Today, it's been officially confirmed by lead engineer Richard Baker that Titanfall runs just short of 800p. Richard said that, "There was an issue with decals taking a lot more time than they should which we fixed for launch, The worst-case scenarios are better, I think. The average is probably about the same as the beta." Reports had already surfaced on sites like mp1st.com that the game would run at this level, but nearly no one could believe the rumor to be true, as they believed this would be the first hit exclusive to run at a full 1080p.

This however, does not mean that this couldn't be rectified in a patch in the near future. In fact, it's likely that the game will be patched. Baker went on to say, "For day one it's not going to change. We're still looking at it for post-day one. We're likely to increase resolution after we ship." This could mean that a 1080p Titanfall will exist somewhat in the near future after a couple of patches.

This is sad information for those who were expecting much higher resolutions from the game, but has this swayed your opinion on purchasing Titanfall for Xbox One?

This news was announced in an Australian press release and was later confirmed by a Nintendo representative to be worldwide termination of the service. Although you will no longer be able to race world wide in Mario Kart, or see someone's village who is far away in Animal Crossing, Nintendo will still allow access to both the Wii's Shop Channel and the DSi Shop. So you will still be able to purchase and download digital titles following May 20.

Nintendo also released, on their Australian website, a list of Nintendo published games that will no longer have online access enabled.

Also note that 3DS and Wii U games will be unaffected by this.

With people already excited for Titanfall, and the game making a large profit on pre-orders alone, it makes sense that a Season Pass would be available. On Titanfall.com it was revealed that a Season Pass will be available for the game. It will cost $24.99, a five dollar savings compared to buying the packs normally. For the PC version, a Digital Deluxe is also available for $79.99 including Titanfall and the DLC.

The Season Pass will be available for all three platforms at participating retailers like GameStop. New maps are confirmed with the pass, but other content has not been revealed. Note that this is not a cross platform download, it is exclusive to the Xbox console you choose, the One or 360.

Titanfall has had a few exciting weeks with all of the praise that the beta is getting, but there is still more to learn that lies just beneath the surface.

Reddit user FallenFusion has leaked some behind the scene images of this upcoming Respawn Entertainment Title.

He shows us four new aspects that the common population still has yet to see; Zipline, Generations, Pilot Hunter, and Turrets.

Pilot Hunter is the game mode that was released with the beta, but we finally get a description of what that game mode is:

Kill the enemy team’s Pilots to reach the score limit and win—one point is awarded for each Pilot killed. Although killing Grunts and Spectres in this mode will not earn points towards your team’s score, doing so will still give you build time reductions on your replacement Titans and Titan Core Ability.

Turrets will be able to destroy anything including Titans. They are often in very urban areas such as onto of building, and will have an incredible range of motion. They can also be switched to fight for the other team when nearby consoles are compromised.

We have just entered into the month of March and that means another two free games to download from the Xbox marketplace with the "Games With Gold" program.

First up to download for free is Civilization Revolution.

Civilization Revolution is a 2008 turn based strategy game, developed by Firaxis Games, were you take control and build civilizations from as far back as 4,000 B.C. and right through the different era's of history to an advanced world. The game will be available to download for free until March 15th along with the multiplayer map pack "The Elemental" and single player map packs "Brave New Worlds and "The Surreal".

The second free game this month is Dungeon Defenders.

Dungeon Defenders is a 2010 tower defense/action RPG game, developed by Trendy Entertainment. The game allows players to chose between four different classes to fight of wave of enemies, the game supports four player local co-op and online sessions on Xbox Live. The game will be free to download from March 16th - 31st.

Dolby Digital has been an incredibly well-known and high money grossing optical audio company for quite a long time, but most Xbox One users were left without the option to use Dolby Digital on their new console. The new march update will put these complaints to ease finally as support will be added. Currently, the only out-putter the system allows is DTS Digital Surround, or another lesser known option, using uncompressed stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 audio, using HDMI. Adding Dolby Digital would allow a more diverse variety of headsets for Xbox One users as well, which could finally persuade some to buy the console and/or purchase gold to play online.

The update is scheduled for an early March window, being sure to release before the March 11th launch of Microsoft's newest hit exclusive, Titanfall.
