They can write heavy, soft, mellow, crazy, happy, sad, catchy, offbeat, or anything in between and put on an amazing show while making it look easy. Full discolure: My love for their is probably pretty biased. Knights of Cydonia's intro was the first guitar riff I had ever played, and now I'm two years into playing the instrument. --- Hard Rock: Avenged Sevenfold They just have this way with writing music that makes me want more. (@ the OP: I saw them with Three Days Grace at Uproar 2011. Both were equally amazing live.) --- Musically: Red Hot Chili Peppers They carve their own path, and actively search for new ways to make their songs better. They find ways to elevate their writing to new, weirdly-high levels.
