In essence, this is a thread where you share what your listening to at the moment or a song you have been obsessed with lately and post it here, whether its a Youtube video of it or a link to where you can listen to it. In a way it's to more easily share your taste in music and discover other songs and bands. If you don't how to post a Youtube video on here, just copy the Youtube link and paste it. By the way, you can post as many times as you want!

Meshuggah - Future Breed Machine

A 90's song. I've been throwing around the idea of getting the mp3 for awhile now, but recently I gave it a really hard listen and got hooked.

The first part of the song sounds generic Speed Metal-like but it quickly turns into this atmospheric sludgy drawl. Really Heavy. It might take a listen or two to get used to it.

Okey here are some more songs. I just want to point out these are high quality: well at least by my standards. I'm not going to post some generic incomprehensible Black Metal or anything.

First up is Mastodon - High Road. Mastodon just recently released this, and it's apart of their new album "Once More 'Round The Sun" which releases next month I believe. Their old albums were very progressive and technical, but their using a more straightforward simple approach with the new album. Though there is some technicality here.

High Road is pretty much a kickass heavy Sludge Metal song. It's Intro-Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Guitar Solo-Chorus-Outro. It may seem simple, but it's very catchy. The Chorus seems a little weird starting off, but it has this sour feeling that makes it so catchy.

If your interested, then keep watch for the next single "Chimes At Midnight": which is supposed to release in a few days, or weeks. A bunch of old songs of theirs that's good is "Crack The Skye", "Oblivion", "Divinations", "The Hunter", "Curl of the Burl", "The Czar", and "Sleeping Giant".

Second is Katatonia - My Twin from their album "The Great Cold Distance". This is an old song of theirs, but I only recently discovered it and was like "WTF Why have I not heard this before!?". It's more or less a gloomy Depression song. One of those things you'd listen to when your down.

It's slightly Metal. I'd say an "ambient doom and gloom slightly metalish song for people who are down in the gutter". Catchy catchy catchy. Katatonia released their new album "Dead End Kings" like a year ago I think. Maybe 2012, or 2013. But they have a crapton of old material I suggest to check. Like "Forsaker", "July", "Nephilim", "The Longest Year", and "Dead Letters".

Jes the next is Periphery - Scarlet. I think this song is literally about the war between Mustard and Ketchup lol. The Music Video shows this exactly, but it still comes off as a solid song. It's from their album "Periphery II: This time it's personal" from 2012. I'm just recently getting into them, and so far they look good.

Scarlet isn't heavy, but more or less a power rock kind of song. It's like a mixture of a high pitched pop singer with a technical hard rock band, but it sounds waay better than pop no doubt. The power of the song is really surprising.

Periphery is supposed to be working on a new album called "Juggernaut", but for right now have released an EP called "Clear". I need to go check it out.

Lastly is another old one. Chevelle - The Clincher. Many a people have heard of Chevelle, but I'm just recently getting into them. This song is from their album "This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)".

It's an Alternative Metal kind of song. The intro is really freaking heavy, and then it turns to a soft chorus. It gets heavy again 2 more times. Imagine Breaking Benjamin's "Until The End", but you still hear the heavyness far after the intro.

Chevelle recently released their new album "La Gargola" I think this year. I've listened to it and it's alright I guess. Their old stuff sounds better though. Like "Jars", "Face To The Floor", "Hats Off To The Bull", and "The Red".
