Xbox One Headset Adapter won't be available at launch.

Sadly, those of you who were looking to use a fancy custom headset with your Xbox One when it launches later this year may have to wait a little bit longer, as it seems the Xbox One Headset Adapter Microsoft have been working on won't be available until 2014

The information was clarified by CVG, who spotted the news when popular licensed third-party headset makers Turtle Beach announced that their upcoming Xbox One headsets - the XO Four and XO Seven - would not launch until the first quarter of 2014.

The press release says that "The Xbox One Headset Adapter, being built by Microsoft and provided to Turtle Beach for inclusion with new gaming headsets, will not be available until early 2014" -so it seems it'll be bundled with Turtle Beach headsets at the very least, but it also appears that the adapter will be required to use any headset from a third party. Don't forget, you'll still be able to use the bundled headset (or indeed buy another standard official MS one) from launch.

There's no specific word yet from Microsoft whether this is the same adapter you'll need to use Xbox 360 headsets with the Xbox One, but it seems a safe bet. We'll let you know if we hear anything different . Until then, here's our up-to-date feature on the games you will be able to get at Xbox One's launch.

I wonder if there will be some of connection later on for the original Xbox 360 headsets or the headphones like the Halo 4 one.

All of this is just copied and pasted from the original article, thanks for informing us but you could have least written it in your own words :/
Anyways its nice that Microsoft is even making an adapter although I am probably going to get a new headset come next generation.
