do you think the needler is over powerd? (related to HALO 4)

Hi i play custome games/match makeing alot and ive relized that the needler is way over powerd my brother can kill me with it in al least 0.8 seconds and other friends do the same and it also tracks on players. This would be fine if the needler was hard or if it had less ammo but it is easy to get and has tons of amo! So what do you guys think of the needler being over powerd??

its not OP, the surcumstances of it being good is at extremely strict mid-range, and you can avoid the needles homing at you by ducking behind cover, its a power weapon, so it is supposed to be good.

It depends on the game type and map. There are so many variables. My honest opinion is yes. It tends to destroy in every circumstance. But it is technically a power weapon. So it's understandable.

I don't really think the needler is OP, though it is borderline. It doesn't come with enough ammo to reliably get 4 kills with, and I don't understand why you think it has too much ammo. Unless you run across the map hunting down needlers, it's not easy to keep a lot of ammo in it.

Itz not. people that get killed by the needler deserves it. i blame myself when i get killed by it cuz i'm not strafing good enough.

It's obvious how good the opponent is when you shoot a needler at them and they either back straight away or charge straight forward. They tend to die the quickest

I don't think its to overpower mainly do to the fact if you or the person your shooting at is near cover if you don't get the remaining needles in it won't explode. I think the needler is....reasonable.

The needler in Halo 4 is not that bad, like someone already said "It all depends on what map and game type it is on," The needler is easy to come by at times but can be avoided once you see purple needles flying at you. Most people are not foolish enough to stand still or run at it. Hopefully.

I see no problem with it at all. The needler has stayed a pretty consistant weapon since halo 3, and I respect that.

It can destroy you at mid range. Not so much for long/short range

I think the Needler is very good and definitely new player friendly but I really don't think it is over-powered for a 'power' weapon. It kills quickly and aim isn't critical but in return it has a short range, does little damage if it doesn't kill and if your target is aware and/or smart killing them is much harder and the ammo is limited.

 

If I see a Needler I'll pick it up but I expect as rankings come in it will become less useful. The Needler will consistently get me a couple of kills, which is enough for my ability level but better players are going to have higher criteria.

i love the noobler! I can always depend on it for 3 cheap kills per pickup.. unless you are playing objective its all about kills..doesn't matter how you get them.

I wouldn't call it overpowered. The needles stay in you for awhile, so you have to think twice about taking someone on if they've already hit you a few times, but in that situation you can often just turn and leave. It does its job, I like it, but I rarely use it.

It's only overpowered when I'm not the one using it - for some reason, whenever I use the Needler it doesn't track properly. It's probably due to my weak connection, but still.

 

I think it's actually balanced okay, most of the time people are going to be using around one full magazine per kill, and even a really skilled players is unlikely to average two kills per reload: at best, you're likely to get perhaps five kills with it before ammunition runs out. Compare that with a Shotgun, which has the potential to kill fifteen opponents or more, or a Rocket Launcher, which can not only wipe out entire teams with a single well-aimed blast but can also wreck vehicles, or even a Railgun, which can wipe someone out with a single shot from halfway across the map.

 

Compared to that, the Needler is pretty tame!

The needler is much better in Halo 4 since the needles stick to shielded enemies rather than just enemies with their shields down.

like what he said i agree, that's y it's a power weapon. You have to be like 10 feet to use this gun. It's a close range weapon.
