I liked the invite only thing too, not the Dedicated Members. I've seen people spam there way there in less than month. Of course, they got banned eventually, but it's always possible. It's just sad how it went from an amazing site, to as most of you said, Customer Support. Many people even say Microsoft directs them here, which is outrageous.
