KIERONOO Posted October 7, 2012 Report Share Posted October 7, 2012 sorry if this is wrong forum but I was wondering I have had my limited edition pre order of halo 4 and the controller for months but I've never played halo 3 ( Not a Halo noob though, I've played ODST and Reach) is it worth buying halo 3 and playing the campaign before 4 comes out or should I just watch the cutscenes and story on YouTube? Ventus Posted October 7, 2012 Report Share Posted October 7, 2012 Seriously, you need to play it! The story is amazing, the gameplay is great and the music is absolutely stunning. Also, it will be important to know what happens in Halo 3 to understand everything in Halo 4, and it's much better to experience it for yourself rather than on Youtube. DoctorB77 Posted October 8, 2012 Report Share Posted October 8, 2012 I did the mistake of playing Halo 3 before 2 or CE. I would go on youtube and watch the story line from halo ce to halo 3. It got me hooked from start to finish so much that I completed it in one sitting - not many games can do that for me and made me feel like a badass can't wait for halo 4!!
