It equals 8 not 0 according to PEMDAS. 4+4-9x0=?, According to PEMDAS, the first thing you have to do is multiply 9 & 0 4+4-0=?, Now you know that anything subtracted by 0 will remain the same so you can eliminate "-0" 4+4, Now all you need to do is add 8, your answer is eight. Your mistake was multiplying 0 last, when you were supposed to do it first, once again, according to PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)...No need to thank me for the Math lesson Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
