  1. Best thing I ever got for under that price are some old retro games:

    Duke Nukem Zero hour

    Turok 2: seeds of evil

    Goldeneye

I don't know if this counts, but once in a gamestore were I used to come every week, a friend of mine made a joke about a group deal and the owner said: "well pick out any game under 20 bucks and you get that one for free."

I picked out Perfect dark for the 360 and he was like: "You better get the steelcase"" and gave that one for free.

  2. Which is a good thing. Don't really need something separated when it is easy to differentiate anyway. Like in Halo 3, by just reading the description of Action sack I could tell it was social. "A WHOPPING 0 EXP" hmmm...

But even  terms of the 0 EXP has changed, I hear a lot of people talking about Halo 2's ranking system and I am not familiar with that system.

  3. Nope, we don't need any playlists for people that liked Halo without sprint. Those people shouldn't even be playing FPS games as far as I'm concerned.

What we need is for Halo to let go of the people who are scared of change and can't adapt, and in order to achieve that, it can't have any resemblance to the original games as far as gameplay goes, unless we're talking about the ability to shoot and use vehicles.

Seriously, it sounds like you do not even like Halo unless it looks like all the other games out there. The only two featuring sprint are Reach and Halo 4 and Halo 4 has less people online, I don't think people want a completely different Halo game. Reach Introduced a lot of new features while still holding true to the gameplay we expect from Halo and even though Halo 4 did is as wel it also introduced things people don't want in Halo like perks and ordnance, ala CoD.

  4. Welcome to our little piece of heaven on the internet.  We are a fun little community, join some events, talk to some people, make some friends, akwardly remember you had a science project due and completely lost track of time so holy taco's you are in a rush, but the community is so fun, maybe ten more minutes oh no its eight AM already and school starts in 30 minutes and no SCIENCE PROJECT!!!!! *wheeze* *Wheeze*

    *scratches throat*

Um yeah..uuum... Me and Unease P34nut (Unease N3wsnut now) represent the bit of orange here as (I think)  we are the only dutch people on this forum (unless you count my brother but he is never on anyway.)

I see you like big team heavies and tbh so do I mostly because I am deadly with a turret.

    Have fun!

See you around on the battlefield!

  5. I'm looking forward to Halo 5, also the new character. (Since it's been annoying to play as MC all the time.)

Also, does anybody have any news about the new character?

You call the savior of the human race annoying? I play Halo for the chief. I really find the other characters either lacking or just really random (What did the rookie do, besides wandering through the city in ODST.

  6. I agree. I think Halo Reach was better than Halo 4, especially considering the time differences, so I think 343i should look upon ALL Halo games, and try to improve on them.

I used to love Reach, the addition of forge maps in the map roulation was a bad choice from Bungie, I hated all those forge maps it ruined the game for me.

But I love it for what it is. Same with Halo 4 there are things I dislike and things I miss, but I like it for what it is.

Every Halo has good things and bad things.

Halo 5 should be more like Halo 4, but with the good things from the past games.

  7. OR

If you're really, really, desperate, I suggest using XXSE.

I won't expand on this because this is considered a mod by many and I'm not sure if this forum has a rule against such.

Isn't that a save modification tool? I mean those are against Xbox''s user policy right?

  8. The AR is a suppresive full auto gun, it's gameplay is focused on supressive fire and room cleaning from short to medium range.

The BR on medium to long firefights with a focus on accuracy.

The DMR on long distance firefights with a large focus on accuracy.

Like I said before personal loadouts and ordnance switch up the game perfectly and makes situations unpredictable and keeps the gameplay incredibly fresh every match.

Sprint gives you more movement options and a speed increase, giving you the option to charge in or away from a fight.

Now I did not say that ADS doesn't fit into the "old" concept, I said it did not fit into the game in terms of gameplay, it would be the same as changing the elder scrolls combat into a hack and slash. It fit's the concept of the game, but not the gameplay.

Same goes with prone, it fits in the concept, but does not fit into the gameplay.

Now let me explain what I mean with the term gameplay in Halo.

See Halo is focused on an arena type gamestyle, much like the old games such as quake or unreal tournament. These games are focused on movement during combat and the abillity to adapt during combat, switching either weapons or direction of movement on the fly and enemies do not die in one shot unless it's whit what we call a power weapon. the games focus on map control,

Call of duty and counter strike are focused on a far more competitve yet highly reactive type of gameplay. You see an enemy you shoot, the games don't offer things such as power weapons, but only weapons that are different in small ways, like recoil, rounds per minute, loading time, distance. While counter strike also does not feature ADS, it's a completely different game than Halo, some weapons in CS offer a scoped view and some don't. These type of games focus on heavily on kills and fast reaction speed. Map control is less important, since more kills means less resistance.

Then we got another type of style which I reference to as war sims, this are games such a Battlefield or Red orchestra, focusing on map control, strategy and vehicles and objective based gameplay.

Halo is focused on a "retro" style arena shooter with some small elements of a war sim in the vehicles and objective based gameplay.

Your suggestions for prone and ADS, would move Halo a lot more in the direction of games like Call of duty, now you said you didn't mind having that, but a lot of people do, not because they are scared of change, but it's not the gamestyle they seek in their FPS games.

  9. I first called myself Spidey463 (huge spidey fan back then) in 2007. Right up untill Reach, I already switched many of my online profile names to Coldfreeze. The name came in my thoughts when I was writing a short story about a Spartan team who had elemental abillities due to Forerunner tech and DNA splicing as children and the name stuck, now my gamertag is Coldfreeze Zero due to the name Coldfreeze already being taken, I didn't want to add digits to it like C0ldfreeze, I put the zero at the back, wrote it phonetically and blam! here we are today.

  10. I can't think of any reason that ADS would benefit in Halo, I mean weapons have a zoom abillity, not all but a lot do. you can't add stuff only because it modernizes a series, it also needs to fit in with the gameplay. sprint fits in the gameplay mechanics of Halo, so do loadouts.

And not all change is good. Not everything in the Modern era is good and not all is bad, but there are things that don't fit in terms of gameplay.

  11. see the point here is, that ADS is not part of Halo, its like adding just swords in COD or guns in the elder scrolls. it does not belong in Halo, we are not scared of change mind you, I salute sprint and loadouts and ordnance and hijacks and assassinations.

The part were Halo is a fast paced arena shooter does not allow for something like prone or ADS. It falls in line with games such as quake and Unreal tournament.

  12. I wouldn't like Aiming down the sight. I mean Halo basically evolved around that, taking that aways is rather strange.

Lore based Spartans and marines alike get a reticule which is directly linked to their visual feed. It's a really nice concep and is a ctually being deployed in real combat more and more often, due to landwarrior.

Going prone would not mean much in Halo's MP, the gameplay moves fast and the abillity to react slows down. Cod has it but kills are easily gained.

Your reasons how Halo improved with REACH and 4 are most of the reasons I like them as well.

  13. Rocket Launcher because it's more effective. Although the fuel rod gun/ cannon has more ammo, it bounces/ deflects and takes more shots to kill. The rocket launcher kills faster and more precisely.

The fuel rod is also a really nice way to bounce vehicles around though.

  14. It's a great gamemode in my opinion, so is dominion, I really don't get why they would remove them from the map rotation. dominion has achievements and to remove it from the map rotation is quite dumb. I mean every basice mode should stay in the map rotation.

    But I love extraction.
