  6. This thread is very long and would probably take an hour to read, but I ASSURE you, every piece of information you will be exposed to is well worth it. Silentium was a great book closing mysteries and opening new ones. Not many people know that there is an epilogue to Silentium, which is a waypoint terminal video. This is after the events of silentium, post-firing. It tells what happened after Bornstellar fired the Halo Array. Riser, along with what is left of the humans, were sent back to Erde Tyrene after being taken care of by lifeworkers under the authority of the new Lifeshaper, Chant To Green. After firing the Halo Array, Bornstellar came to Riser and talked with him. Riser was given a new Geas that taught him what plants to eat and how to survive and lead the other humans. Riser asked him about the Librarian to which Born said "I dont know if she is alive." Riser also asked him about the Flood to which Born said "They are defeated" Born then told Riser this: "Perhaps one day your children will make their way back, and I hope meet our children" And Riser asked him where he would go and Bornstellar said 'I dont know. But we cannot return, not to these places"' All this indicates that there are indeed living forerunners that will return. Lifeworkers and even Promethean warrior/servants. Bornstellar will be back. He will undoubtably return in Halo 5. This narrative also shows that the Didacts hold on born has subsided and Born has returned to his own personality seen in cryptum while still having the characteristics of the didact. IE, appearance. Silentium was a great book and the Trilogy alltogether was by far my favorite read ever. If you need some information on Silentium, here is my summary and my thoughts on Halo: 5 Flood- No doubt that they are indeed returning, and returning how they used to be, with fleets! The Forerunner saga has layed down alot concerning the flood. The flood are indeed precursors as it says in silentium, in order to escape their genocide from the forerunners, some precursors became dust and went dormant to survive. The dust caused sorrow and disease. And the sorrow was "Good" to the precursors. The flood are without a doubt, the Precursors vengeance to all life for it's creations turning against its creators. They literally infected every system in the galaxy and pushed what was left of the forerunners to the Greater Ark. And they had fleets, whole armadas with precursor technology no longer dormant, but radiating with life. The flood we saw throughout the original trilogy is nothing to the horrendous beings the forerunners faced. If just the flood that was released from Installation 04 caused the galaxy to tremble with fear what will the flood be like once The Timeless One enacts his devious plans against life? Yes, lets talk precursors. The Precursors- They were beings that created life in the galaxy, having created even forerunner and humans. Long ago, the precursors told the forerunners they were not fit to uphold the Mantle and that humans were. In rage, the forerunners defied their makers and attempted mass genocide and pushed them out of the galaxy. Some believe the precursors didnt even fight back, but watched with all jubilance as their creations raged. All but one precursor was left by the forerunners, for reasons unknown. Some precursors in order to survive, turned themselves into dust in order to go dormant. This dust brought about misery and plague, but lo, precursors enjoy misery. They sent this "dust" on ships where humans found it and experimented on their pets, the pheru. Eventually turning into the flood. That one precursor, The Timeless One, is still alive and was not killed by Bornstellar/IsoDidact. The being the IsoDidact killed was, not "a" gravemind, but "The" Gravemind which has been given knowledge by the precursor himself. The Timeless One still lives and is out there somewhere and I believe will come into play in the trilogy. Now concerning the Ur-Didact and Bornstellar. Ur-Didact- He was driven mad by exposure to a gravemind. With all the Issues hes had since before entering his cryptum contributing to the fact he was exposed to the gravemind only equals insanity. He had to put up with alot of Yoink! throughout his life. His plans for his shield worlds were denied for a thousand years, he was captured and interrogated three times, exiled multiple times for a myriad of years and stranded on a flood infested system. Plus Bornstellar, has basically replaced him in his duties as Forerunner Defense and has even won the Librarians favor over him. With all this Yoink! i'm sure I woulda gone mad too. And such irony too, as his shield worlds would have ensured forerunner survival. In the end of silentium, he goes and composes what is left of the humans on the ark, leaving very few remaining, and goes to Requiem with his own plans of stopping the flood by putting the composed humans essences into the Promethean Knights. However he is stopped by his own wife, the Librarian and sealed in his cryptum until the events of Halo 4. He will be back. Bornstellar- By far my favorite character in the forerunner saga. Bornstellar went from being a young manipular searching for treasure to being the new Didact and Head of Forerunner Defense. You can see his maturity as the series progress which I most certainly enjoy. Anyways, with the name Catalog has deemed him, The IsoDidact, journeys to the Greater Ark with his companion Monitor Chakas in order to try and prevent certain destruction (As what is left of the forerunners have gathered at the Greater Ark for a final battle against Mendicant Bias and the Flood) He fails in taking command of all Forerunners, which the Master Builder Faber succeeds in doing. The decision is made that the Halos will not be used to wipe out life to save it, and that Installation 07 will fire its own array at the Flood at the command of Offensive Bias with the last of the forerunners and their fleets. Bornstellar goes to the Lesser Ark with Monitor Chakas after the destruction of the Greater Ark and Installation 07 in order to do the only option left.. Bornstellar then commissions other monitors to help maintain all the Halos with their activation indexes while the Reseeding process happens after the array is fired. He then tells Chakas, "I send you on your way friend. Your new home will be Installation o4. I also give you a new designation. Henceforth, you will no longer be just a guide and assistant, you will be gaurdian and protector of an entire Installation. You will be called 343 Guilty Spark." "you have traveled a long way with me old friend, we were young and foolish when we meet. We are not at all what we were are we?" Chakas: I will think on those good days. I hope to find comfort in the memory. Bornstellar: "Now old friend, we have the most important job in history! You will outlast most of us here and will see the new galaxy emerge." And then he says the famous line... "Tell me Chakas, if it was your choice, after all we have seen and survived... would you fire the rings?" He then meets Offensive Bias, ignores all messages and later fires the Halo Array with his last words..."Forgive me. Forgive us." The Forerunner in Halo CE: Anniversary terminal is Born. That specific scene is read about in Silentium when he commisions monitors for each installation. He is indeed alive and well, with what is left of the Forerunners, as seen in Silentium: Rebirth. He will return in Halo: 5 without a doubt. The Librarian- She has stopped the Didact and put him in a cryptum in Requiem. She then flew to Erde Tyrene (Earth) along with another Life Worker named Chant To Green. There she meets the Lord of Admirals whose essences have been composed on a living human by the Timeless One with a last message. If the Halos are fired then the gift of the Precursors, the thing that forerunners have used daily without understanding, the thing that controls all precursor artifacts will be destroyed. The Domain is the Organon and it will be destroyed if the rings are fired. The Librarian then sends bornstellar a message but he ignored it. What became of her is uncertain as Chant To Green has seemed to replace her. 343 Guilty Spark- After the events of the Halos being fired, he did as he was commanded and began safekeeping Halo Installation 04. But, when he got there the Halo strippe him of his knowledge of most of everything that happened. However, after the events of Halo 3, he was found by UNSC scientists, though unrepairably injured. He transfered his being into the ship and hijacked it, while revealing that he retains his memories of being Chakas the human and claims hes going to the librarian, whom he was assigned to prior the Halo firing. The Arbiter- Most likely will return if Jul Mdama is wreaking havok against the UNSC. Although he has his own problems on Sanghelios, i'm sure he'll be helping the UNSC face the Storm Covenant. Hopefully kicking butt along side the Chief. Black Box (BB)- An AI very much like cortana, whose intellect i find far superior to Rolands. I hope he will be Cheifs temporary replacement til Cortana returns. Yes cortana will indeed return as she is an integral part in the Halo Universe. The Flood will indeed return, there is no doubt about it as the Flood are the reason the Halos were built. They are the main antagonist of the trilogies and will be back. Sorry for the long read you had to do, but I presume this information was most helpful. Comment your own thoughts on Silentium and/or Halo 5.

  8. To Victory Element, I am entirely grateful for your comment, as I love to correct errors. Everything I have posted is not theory at all, but factual evidence, and my OWN interpretation of that evidence. I am sorry to say that, the forerunner saga has ended, along with what is written. Everything I have written is a brief summary on the books. The Humans were meant to inherit the mantle from the Precursors. When Forerunners found out about this they rebelled and drove the precursors out of the galaxy. And the precursors did not even fight back but swam in the sorrow with jubilee. Some turned themselves into dust and went dormant to survive and intended to later return to their original forms. But it failed miserably and brought sorrow and missery and they delighted in it. They then sent the dust in containers on ships to human inhabited planets where human scientists found out that the dust was good on their pets the pheru. The pheru eventually mutated and ate other pherus. Humans that considered pheru as food ate those that were infected and later, became infected themselves. Thus, the Flood were born. Any information not revealed will be revealed in the games. If you came up with your THEORY by reading the books, I suggest a complete re-read on not only Silentium, but ALL the forerunner saga books. Thanks again and know that I mean no harm, I just had to make it clear that what I have written is not theory but my own interpretation of factual evidence from the books. I do not judge. I record. ~ Catalog
