  1. Carbine would destroy every other gun. Light Rifle would be useless.
  2. I enjoy the Storm rifle. It feels great to go on a killing frenzy with it. It's pretty much the plasma rifle: get in close for a couple shots and a melee, or apply pressure on a weakened enemy around corners and what not without having to reload (mind you, you have to watch the heat). Yeah, which is why the DMR is a bit over powered; It outclasses other guns in their respective field.
  3. Weapons are really well balanced, save for the DMR, which needs a miniscule tweak. Boltshot gives me no problems, but I can see a point in making a charge shot use the whole clip. I think it's just the randomness of ordinance weapons that make it feel unbalanced. I mean, after 4 kills some guy drops some rockets, or an Incineration cannon? I tend to avoid Infinity slayer an Big team when solo-ing for that reason. So far, it's the most adversarial fun I've had in Halo since 2.
  4. The Railgun is a tricky beast indeed. Sometimes when I use it and think i've aligned a perfect shot right next to an opponent, nothing happens. Other times, I can't believe that the shot even hit them. I'd say take it into custom games and get familiar with it.
  5. BR kills faster than the AR assuming you shoot him first, or at the same time, and don't miss a shot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The only issues I have with this game are small ones. A compendium of small ones, to be exact. -Maps are static, and are just Geometry, unlike previous halo titles. -Spawning with precision weapons can be fun, but also a pain in the ass when the other team is a bunch of try-hards who are right at home at the start of the match. -Weapons dropped from players staying on map for less than 15 seconds -Extremely powerful Ordinance is a double edged sword. It can be fun at times, but on BTB, power weapons from drops really de-value vehicles. -Not enough small maps -Lag, while temporary until 343 gets it sorted out, can be a nuisance. -No X's over dead teammates, only on radar. Otherwise, it's a breath of fresh air in the series.
  6. If you'd read the whole posting battle, the DMR actually kills faster at all ranges than any other loadout weapon besides the scoped in Light Rifle. One of the guys posted the kill times. DMR is slightly over-powered, that's all. The fool in here started pulling out non-related sales figures and opinion's he deemed as facts.
  7. Having 4 semi-auto ranged weapons is certainly tricky to maintain balance, and I blame the Light Rifle. It's zoomed characteristics could've easily been made into how the DMR fires ( with minor adjustments) or something along the lines. If anything, keep the light rifle campaign-only.
  8. There's this bulbous like thing in-between a spartan's shoulders. Aim at that to kill in one shot. Joking aside, the only thing i can say is try to flank groups of enemies, and don't stay in one spot. The DMR is a beast, so don't expose yourself too much after a couple shots. No sense in trying to get a shot when the fart goblin blasting you is waiting for you too. Promethean vision can help you spot enemies mid range, so you can track their movement through the wall, and safely line them up with your reticle as they come around the corner.
  9. Boltshot can be unpredictable. Sometimes, the charge shot can tilt up, down, left and right slightly. Otherwise, paired with Promethean vision, it's potent. An auto weapon that i love to use is actually the Storm rifle. It's fun to pepper guys with the bullets for a bit, then lunge in for a melee in CQC, much like the OG plasma rifle. I find it best on KOTH or CTF, when you have time to defend and get up close and personal with the offense.
  10. That DMR is a pest of a weapon now.
