I went to the EB Games Expo this year, and only just got back from it. I hope to go every year, as this is an amazing event, and there's nowhere else I'd rather be in the world than at this Expo. Here I'll post the *exclusive* videos I filmed with my crumby tablet, as well as write up exactly what went on during the two days that I go. I apologize if the videos are very short, but I wasn't sure if filming was permitted or not, so I had to make quick little sneaky shots .
Enjoy.
~DAY 1~

Something cool they had in the 1 and a half hour queue for Titanfall ._. :

Summary:
At the Expo today, I was by myself because I won 1 of 200 EB Games Expo tickets for that specific day. Tomorrow I'll be going with friends. Anywho, I mainly focussed on getting hands-on time with the games and consoles, since there were no presentations that day that really interested me. First off, I went to the nearest booth - the PS4 booth. Wasn't much there, but it was cool to have a look at the PS4 for myself.
Next, I went straight over to the Battlefield 4 booth. I mingled around there for a bit, while they were giving out free shirts. The queue was about an hour, so I left it and decided to play it the next day. After that, I immediately ran for the Xbox One booth. There was a lot of green. A LOT. They had really nice car that I believe was the prize for a competition, but I ignored it and queued up for what I really came here for - Titanfall. This was an extremely long wait - over an hour and a half. However across from it I saw the CoD: Ghosts booth and chuckled: there was an even longer queue - something around 3 hours or so, with a line that extended all the way around the booth and beyond.
So an hour and a half later, I get sent in to play Titanfall. First off, they put the 12 of us in a small room, with a rather large screen that took up an entire wall. They presented the announcement trailer, and then the really cool stuff - they debriefed us on how to play, the objective of the match, the classes, etc. I'll explain it all in another thread. What we were going to play, is something they call "Campaign Multiplayer", which is basically your normal matchmaking match, but weaved into the Campaign with a specific objective/story to it. The gametype was to be something called 'Attrition', which is pretty much your average Team Deathmatch-type thing. Again, I'll explain both in more detail in a separate thread. We then marched to the Multiplayer room upstairs. Unfortunately the game was played on Xbox 360, not Xbox One, but it was good to know that the game still looks might fine on current-gen consoles and holds up fine as well. To cut things short, the game was EPIC. Believe it or not, this was the first chance EVER, for gamers to have hands-on with Titanfall. After that, I queued up for and played Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, on PS4. To be honest, its a lot like Assassin's Creed 3, and I probably won't be purchasing it. The PS4's new controller feels much better than that of the current, and graphics are significantly improved. That was pretty much it for the day, as I arrived late to the Expo and my knees were getting sore from all the standing around (no seats AT ALL, even when playing the games).
If you managed to read all of that rambling, I commend you.
~DAY 2~
Video of my friends and I entering the Expo as soon as it opened. Massive crowd of people:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p1W-czo3Rk
Titanfall booth thingy:

The Xbox One! *screeeeam*. Got to play Killer Instinct on it, will share my opinions soon:

Meeting the crew of 'Good Game', a game review show broadcasted all over Australia. Was very excited, got them to sign my beanie. ^-^ :

Upon my exit, I found the Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth booth. Not much there, but I found full Seasons of RvB for sale, in hard copy, which I thought was pretty neat:

Something you don't see every day. Elmo, and two pink bunnies, one with a GoW Gun. ._. :
Summary:
Today was my favourite day of the two. I had friends around, and also got to the Expo earlier, ultimately letting me play more games and explore further. If you didn't see any footage of the next-gen games, its because they weren't allowed to be filmed, unless you were with a YouTube channel (I probably could have gone as a member of OnlineKnights, but I needed a shirt. Will do that next year). However, I did see some pretty cool things today.
First off, we headed to Battlefield 4 straight away. Neither I nor my mates had played a non-Beta version of the game, so it was very exciting. Although it was a one and a half hour wait, it felt faster, as I had friends to talk to. Once we got inside, we were debriefed on the controls and watched a couple of trailers for 10 whole minutes. After that, we were led into the PC room. I was hoping to have played this on Xbox One, so I could get a feel for how BF4 holds up on the console, but oh well. Anywho, it was unfortunate to find that we could only play half a match (about 10 minutes). I immediately went into the customisation options, and browsed for a while. There are a VERY large selection of customisation options to choose from; much larger than BF3's. I settled on a basic LMG with a tri-beam laser sight (Predator style, mwahaha) as well as a .44 Magnum.
Once in the game, I got a feel for the controls, then jumped straight into a jet-ski. As we were inside the hull of an aircraft carrier, I couldn't see much outside, as the sun was glaring through the opening. I took a moment to notice how lovely the water looked, then sped out. As the sun's glare came away, the beautiful landscape was revealed. For future reference, we were playing on "Paracel Storm", with the brand new gametype - Obliteration (both map and gametype are unavailable to the Beta public). As I sped out into the open water, I looked around with a smooth pan, to truly take in the sights. Not much else happened for me on that match, as I basically just nerdgasm'd at every moving bush, realistic wave and water splash I saw. Other than that, the match consisted of diving and sniping failure. For those BF4 fans, you'll be excited to know that graphics are phenomenal, gameplay is tight, customisation is very broad and the water is awesome.
After that, we browsed the Expo a little; took in the sights. If you need proof on how mainstream gaming has gotten, this was it. I no longer felt like an outsider, but very much conformed and comfortable within a community. The rest of the day predominantly composed of waiting in queues. Other than Battlefield 4, the only other games I played that day was World of Tanks on Xbox 360, and Killer Instinct on Xbox One. Now, I'll tell you some things about the Xbox One you may find worth noting. The console itself, is huge. Pretty ugly and fat in comparison to the Xbox 360, but if you're like me and don't mind about the appearance of the consoles, then it shouldn't worry you. The controller, however, is amazing. Although it appears ugly and chunky in videos, its actually surprisingly slim - more so than the current 360 controllers in fact. The thumbsticks feel amazing, and the D-pad has a defining 'click' to it, which is nice. Xbox have successfully maintained their reputation for comfortable controllers that fit perfectly in your grasp.
After doing more looking around, browsing the booths and stalls, I entered a few competitions. My luck won me an Xbox One hat, shirt and cool game posters. I also THINK I've actually one an Xbox One controller, but we'll wait and see. I'll provide some pictures of my goodies soon. As the session came to an end, the cast of 'Good Game' arrived with a Q & A, as well as signing. All my excitement payed off, as I joined the queue, met the crew and got my favourite beanie signed.
That was it for my EB Games Expo experience for 2013, but I'll definitely be there again next year. Only 364 days until the next one! Hope you enjoyed the wrap-ups of my experience, thanks for reading.

Name : Austin.
Bio : Currently in highschool, not much I like doing in my life, currently live in Sydney, Australia. The only things I enjoy doing, are as follows: Playing Xbox, chatting on this here forum, art (whether it be drawing or computer graphics design), snowboarding. From this, you can probably deduce that I'm definitely more of those 'technology' people. I despise sport on any level, other than that of snowboarding. I love the snow, and hope to move to America or Canada in the future to have more of it. With this, I also want to move there for the Game Industry, as that's what I hope to be involved in as my future career. I've had many relationships in the past, but am currently single and have given up on women until Uni. Many of you may know that the games I'm into include the Halo, Assassin's Creed and Battlefield series. Forging is (or was) a big part of my life, as I've met many great people within the Forging community. I've however lost interest for a while, in order to get on with my new Machinima that I currently am directing and producing - Forging The Future. I'd say I have great English/persuasive skills, and mostly do well in school subjects such as IST, Art, English and Science. I attend the EB Games Expo Australia every single year and love the hell out of it. I'm not at all organised in anything I don't take interest in; I kind of just wing everything and hope for the best. Something about me that nobody probably cares about, is that I write with my left hand, but throw and cut things with my right hand.
Likes : Xbox, gaming, Halo, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, Asian food, snow/snowboardng, good-looking women, sci-fi movies, superhero movies, some action movies, art of many sorts, social networking, gaming conventions.
Dislikes : Call of Duty, people who despise gamers, my family, people who tease gamers, kid's shows, sports, the outdoors, the sun, scary movies, conflict, immaturity.
Image of me :
Image that best describes me :
Two words that describe me : awkward, gamer.
Goals : To partake in and assist this community to the best of my ability and to some day work in the Gaming Industry - specifically either working for 343industries, Bungie or RoosterTeeth, but that's all very much farfetched. Being that I probably won't achieve these goals, my next goal would be to run or work for an Indie Game company. I also would like to find a girl who is indeed a gamer and stays with me until the end.

Howdy peoples.
As the Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October begins, I'm sure this entire community is willing to share their loving support for breast cancer awareness. I know some have already given it thought, and I applaud those who are making the effort.
To fit in with this month and further share your support, paste in your signature below and either me or Brony will give it a quick make-over to suit the theme of Breast Cancer Awareness, with an overall dash of pink and a cute lil' Breast Cancer ribbon.
Thank you to all who are supporting this movement.

Howdy.
So most of you may know of or have heard about the highly-ambitious Machinima series being produced in association with the forums - Forging The Future. Read about it here: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/31112-forging-the-future-official-page/
In this large production, we plan to have 3D CGI model animation scenes. Unfortunately, our previous model texturer disappeared randomly without notice. So with this, we do need a new model texturer who can texture Halo 4 armour models, vehicles, etc.
As of right now we are in need of a new texturer. You need to be able to work with 3D models and have a satisfactory knowledge of how to perform the tasks given.
If you are experienced in this area and willing to help out with animation or know someone else who is, please contact me immediately. Further information will be provided and detailed then.

What if they removed dual-wielding, added default Sprint AND removed all UNSC Air Vehicles?!
... Oh wait.

Hmm...
For me, I'd vote for who takes care of me the most. There are a few awesome members I'd nominate, being Drizzy, Azaxx and Syko. All three of you are amazing, but I can only vote for one (I think).
So I vote...
Azaxx.

I'd have to say Halo: Reach.
Although I know that many dreaded this game for its completely different gameplay and added mechanics, I really enjoyed this game. I quite enjoyed playing with the HEAP of new things that game with the game, such as vehicles, weapons, the added armour abilities and most importantly - the evolutionary step for Forge.
Without Forge being what it was, I would not be here today. It was simply amazing, and opened up so many new opportunities for both Matchmaking and Custom Games. I found the Campaign quite enjoyable, with an emotional touch to it.
This game introduced me to a higher level of Forge and brought more new goodies for the community to play with than any other Halo game in my opinion. This is why I believe Halo: Reach to be my favourite Halo game.

Definitely RvB Season 9, onwards.
Monty Oum's done an amazing job with the CGI, which inspired me to direct my own with CGI. I also loved Burnie's integration of in-game comedy, with serious CGI, so that too was a great inspiration. Personally, I never got into ANTC or Rise of the Spartans, however I do admire SoFallenFilm's comedic videos.
I've been watching a heap of different Machinimas lately and reading the comments, for research as to what and what not to do. I've learnt a lot from a variety of Machinimas, so we'll see if it pays off.

Granted, you are given a small chunk of foam too small to be visible to the naked eye.
I wish for fast money.

My PS3 was stolen..... So yeeaah
lol, the irony.
Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the series, so I won't be participating...
:/

Looks like an Xbox One controller that got squashed during the manufacturing process, lol.
To be honest, I have no idea where they're going with this. Its just a chunkier, less portable, non-3D system.
I mean, frankly I just don't understand. Nintendo really need to lift their game if they want to compete with the other consoles.

I am definitely getting an Xbox One I just don't know if I'll be getting it at the release. I might get a new 360 before I get a One because a lot of great games that I want will still be released on the 360 (Batman: Arkham Origins, Destiny, TitanFall.)
I was thinking the exact same thing man.
However, I don't know if I want to purchase these games on the Xbox 360. If I purchase them on the Xbox One, I get to experience these games at their full potential. Very tough decision. The 360 won't be able to handle BF4's 64-player service, so I'd want to get the Xbox One for that. Titanfall and Destiny have amazing graphics that I'd personally like to see at their maximum.
Very excited, but very much a gamble. I'll probably make a decision once I have a demo on them at the EB Games Expo this year.
