  1. I actually joined the site a few weeks ago and just now noticed this intro section. I used to be pretty active in a few forums 4-5 years ago but then got tired of them. Recently I started looking for a good site with new info and articles regarding the Halo universe and couldn't really find any until I remembered the advantages of forums. So far I must say I am extremely pleased with the organization, quality, and quantity of the information here. I hope some of you have read my few threads and it's nice to be around more "hardcore" fans who are for the most part intelligent and well spoken. Glad to be a part of this and I hope I'm able to add on positively! Forgot some info, GT is BBright44. Haven't had much time to play lately but add me and if I'm on I would love to play with y'all!
  2. I am BEYOND excited for this, nearly **** my pants when a first heard. Great post!
  3. Love it with all my heart. I like the new, quicker burst and it looks fantastic.
  4. I'm not saying I don't like the changes at all! I just had too much time on my hands and just noticed these things whilst browsing, I get bored quite easily.
  5. Too right you are, my mistake. Should have known by the carbine in his hand..><
  6. A friend of mine and I were playing some H3 yesterday for quite and while, kicking ass and having plenty of fun. Then we went to Reach. still had plenty of fun but we had to constantly deal with the fleeing issue due to sprint. This is not really that difficult to overcome, however. Work on those 'nade skills and everything is fine. Gameplay will continue at it's regular pace. No need for changes and I actually think the 5 shot adds more depth to the gameplay which makes it more appealing to both the series hardcore fans, and noobs alike.
  7. I've noticed a number of aesthetic changes of Elites in Halo 4 that seem a bit...off. Below is the best picture I've found thus far of an elite in H4. I suppose he is in a combat stance, but he seems so much more hunched over than elites ever really are. His skin is incredibly leathery and almost scaly in places. Granted the developments in graphics allow more detail but still it would not have been too large of a task in previous games, and I have yet to read any description that states elites are scaled. A second point is the mouth. There are the usual 4 mandibles but none of them seem to be teethed. Thirdly, it seems to be much thicker. He clearly has bulky, heavy body armor but what you can see of his exposed legs and torso, he looks proportionately bigger, sans the arms. Now here are elites from Halo 1,2, and 3, which I used for comparison. Interesting changes throughout but I still think this is one of the largest changes throughout the Halo series in the Sangheli. Feel free to make any additions to changes that you've noticed as well. Actually, please do.
  8. I think it will definitely be appreciated in the more competitive MLG like games
  9. I disagree entirely. For me, the BR filled this position completely, and I don't want to sound cocky but people will complain its not effective in short range but if you possess the skill it certainly is capable, as it was for me. You use the word "gap" in a condescending sense but I think many Halo fans will agree that this "gap" is essential in making Halo what it is, it's own tier in video games. The limitation of 2 weapons is not reverting the game down to "rock-paper-scissors" game-play. Sure it may not add the amount of depth that many critics want, but it adds weight to the decisions players have to make throughout competitive matches, which in turn shows more skill and intelligence in individual players and teams as well.
  10. A few repeats due to wear and tear and I'm missing a few books but I'm still proud of it! http://www.flickr.com/photos/81070605@N08/7423174960/in/photostream
  11. Appreciate it guys! I'll definitely try and get my hands on it soon
  12. I figured it would be a matter of time, and that it would come at a price (other than the $65.01). Like Smokin Shadowz said it's just a matter of money but so far I'm pleased with the direction of H4.
  13. I've been obsessed with the Halo lore since the release of CE and I got my hands on the first 3 books ASAP. Since then I've read Contact Harvest and The Ghosts of Onyx and been fairly pleased. I just picked up Evolution's V.1 but haven't started yet. Cryptum was not in stock and I'm debating whether or not to order. I've never really had much interest in the Forerunner "history" in previous games and books, but since it seems important among the forum goers I figured it may be add more to Halo 4. I'm cheap as hell and it's selling for $16 which if I'm disappointed will just be a waste of gas money. Just hoping to get some feedback as to whether it will really add to the H4 story!
  14. As long as there is a deep purple then I'm happy! The reach "purple" just killed me....I miss my H3 badassery..
