    Dude, most updates in Halo 5 have come out in the middle of the month. Since this is a larger update, it will most likely take a bit more time. 343i is delivering good content now, and consistently. Lift your foot off the anger pedal a bit. The best quality of 343i as a game developer is their post-launch changes and updates. In the late days of Reach and in Halo 4, it was the updates that showed they were listening and could adapt. The initial game might not be the best at launch, but they do a great job of fixing their mistakes the community asks for (in general).

    One place to possibly get notice would be on the HaloWaypoint forums. It's not guaranteed to be seen, but it's there to be seen. 

     

    Another place would be on the subreddit r/halo, as multiple 343 Employees brows there during the week, mainly Bravo. 

     

    Additionally, you aren't the first to ask for this, and it has been posted a lot on both Halo Waypoint and r/halo, in addition to many Halo forums. Try to find those thread and post there as well.

    This is something that has been missing in Halo 4, and now in Halo 5. the only way to forge one-sided objectives is to forge flag spawns so they are unreachable. Considering how loved one-sided objectives are in Halo 3 and Reach, it is a no-brainer that this should be back.

    Many of us that bought the DLC for Halo Reach have most likely never played the DLC maps in matchmaking ever. Besides anniversary. I was looking if some people wanted to do make a full lobby then go on matchmaking and just play the maps.

  13. Lag in Halo 5

    First, a few questions to help diagnose and help fix the issue. If you make some progress, feel free to post the answers so we can help out:

     

    1. Does the lag appear in other games? While playing other games does similar effects happen, such as delayed response, teleporting, etc?

    2. How long has this issue been happening? A few hours, a few days, etc? Has any change in your router, ISP, etc occurred?

    3. Have you been experiencing issues of slow internet or streaming on other devices?

    4. Who/what is your ISP?

     

    Here is a basic generalization of some of the possible results:

    If other games or other devices have been experiencing lag or slow connection, reset your router. If it still persists after a few days, get in contact with your ISP. 

     

    If the lag is exclusive to Halo 5, and has been happening for more than a week, then it may be connection to the dedicated servers. Try resetting your router and restarting your Xbox. If the problem still exists, double check. Issues with ISP and Halo 5 servers have been happening for months, and changes are constantly being made.   14. Problem with Spartan Assault - can't sign in - can't save progress

    I had issues with Spartan Strike signing in.  so I tried the Spartan Assault.  Same problem the game cannot connect to server to save your place!  I am using HP Spectre X360 convertible laptop.  I would appreciate any  help.  I tried Mircrosoft help chat with no result.

    Hey, I've had some issues with this as well, as I own one copy through the Windows App Store and another through Steam. Make sure you are signed in to the proper profile on the Microsoft Store App (IE the same that owns the game), and then try to relaunch the Halo games/apps. 

  16. Halo 5 Warzone REQ Cost Changes

    Glad to see that the carbine is much cheaper. I think 343i forgot that although pros and experienced players can use it amazingly (thus making it a power weapon when you can spam trigger and land all of the shots), that a majority of the Halo community can't use it well. If you look at Halo 3, 4, and even Reach with the Needle Rifle, most players didn't use the carbine or if they did, they weren't landing most of their shots. but everyone knew when you found someone who could use it, because you were dead as soon as they saw you. 

  17. Making very dark areas using Forge in Halo 5

    First off, if you want a really dark map, use the Parallax map, as it is the darkest and has the least global light. On the other maps, make sure not to use the natural ground as flooring, as the forge ground pieces will be darker. For all objects, use darker, less shiny colors, so light does not reflect as much. Use the map tools to change the time of day and other settings to darken the map. Additionally, when making a dark room, make sure to enclose the entire room, and limit the amount of "natural" light that enters it directly. When placing lights, make sure to edit the light properties.

  21. Helioskrill Armor not unlocking after completing The legend achievement

    I don't know if it has anything to do with it but wasn't it so that you needed the achievement before release?

     

    Nope, as long as you have the MCC Achievement "Legend," you get the armor, and don't have to get it in a Req pack.

     

     

    Unlocking armor that is earned from another game or place can take a few days due to updates and such. This happened all the time with Halo Reach and Halo 4 with the special armors. My suggestions to help speed that process up are:

     

    1. Log into Xbox.com and Halowaypoint.com. This will update your profiles on each to be up to date.

     

    2. Log in and play both MCC and Halo 5 on your Xbox. Quiting the game (using the start button on the home screen) and starting it back up also will re-sync your profile with the one on record.

     

    3. Give it a few days. If you don't have the armor after about 10 days, go post on Halo Waypoint, 343i's official site, or send a message to the twiiter accounts of various members of 343i. Someone will notice, and if necessary, unlock it for you.

    In order to bring the forum a more complete and diverse experience with playdates on systems and games you all love, the Staff are proud to present the second Forum Gaming Census (FGC). We all play a variety of games but never really know who all has or plays certain games. In order to help address this issue, we have put together this census to gather this information and use it to create better playdates for the forums. All you have to do is fill out the answers to the following questions to the best of your ability and we will take it from there. If you are unsure of how to fill out this form, please see the example provided at the bottom of the post.





    UPDATE: Deadline for this Census has been extended to February 8th.

    The Census:

    1. What consoles/handheld devices/PC do you own that can connect to others via an online connection (internet or matchmaking services). Please note any fees or paid subscriptions.

    2. Do you have Xbox Live Gold or the equivalent services for your consoles/handheld devices/PC? Do you use any special servers for games that no longer have multiplayer matchmaking, (ie Steam, Gameranger, and other server hosting sites). Please note any fees or paid subscriptions you have to pay for these services.

    3. What games do you own for each console/hand held devices/PC that can be played with other forum members? Do you have any DLC for the game? If there are special restrictions or places you have gotten the games (ie Steam for PC), please list those games separately and explain as best as possible the situation.

    4. Place “+” at the beginning of your preferred games to play with others and put those on top of each console list. Place “-“ at the beginning of games you would not want to play, and place them at the bottom of each list. If you have no preference start with a “” Please denote any Free to Play games with "F2P"

    5. What days and times would you prefer to play or have open on a regular basis?

    6. What is your favorite genre of games, and give three examples of games that you believe fit that genre.

    7. Describe you internet connection.

    My Internet connection is very fast, but sometimes drops. Download is 9 Mb and upload is 5 Mb.

  24. What I said about halo 5

    You might want to read the fine print, Xbox One sales were included with that statistic. Halo 5 Guardians is the worst selling main series Halo title. Only around 1 million copies were actually sold.

     

    Those sales numbers include the price of consoles or game bundles which included Halo 5. That is the number that Microsoft cares about. They made a hell of a lot of money on Halo 5, not really on the game, but on the merchandising.
