  1. So, I decided to play some BTB today.. But, that was obviously not a good idea. For some reason I have been lagging out. First, I thought it was my router but, then I hooked the XBOX directly up to the internet and still couldn't get a good signal. Now, when it would lag, it would leave my spartan just standing there while everyone else kept playing. Then, one time, it kicked everyone from the game, said "game over," and ended the game as usual (giving me my credits and all). After doing all this, it just continued to lag out and leave me standing there but, then all of a sudden it said that I have left too many games and that if I left again, I would have to wait before I could play. Before anyone starts saying, "well maybe your internet speeds were slow," no.. They were not slow. I was pushing well over what I am even paying for. So all I have to ask is.. WTH?!? Is this how Halo 4 is going to be?!?
  2. Can you link me to your thread? Or is it under your name somewhere? And are you an ICP fan?
  3. How many times can your teammate kill you.. Before you get to boot them??? This guy on my team earlier just kept killing me, like 5 times and I never once got the option to boot... I'm lost.. Aren't you suppose to get that option after at least the first two times?? And this wasn't an accidental killing either, he tracked me down and continued to kill me... WTH?!?!?
  4. I finally just stopped playing BTB all together for the EXACT same reason.
  5. There isn't a fiber in my body that could argue your point about separating the competitive from the casual. So, why not limit the quitting and booting probation ban to those that are seeking a professional, competitive style of gaming? That's the point I am trying to get at, because I would like to see it changed. Doesn't mean it will, by any means but, it is worth a shot. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels like Halo has turned 85% competitive, rather then a 50/50 split so all can enjoy. I'm going to steal your term of "casual player" from this point on, cause I am one. lol
  6. Over the last couple of weeks it has become very clear to me that there has been a solid divide placed between those that are "pro" and those that are "not pro" or "noobs." Though it has been years since I played Halo 2 online, if memory serves me correctly, the term "noobs" was used to describe a person that either was completely horrible at the game (2 or less kills) or had no idea what they were doing. Now it seems, the term "noobs" is actually meant to describe a person that doesn't fall within the playing bracket of someone in the M.L.G. So, the question at hand is, if you are not "pro" material, then where do you belong? Accidental kills of your teammates will get your booted. Being booted too many times will leave you on a three day probation. During that three day probation, if you get booted or quit, you will be banned from multiplayer for ten minutes. It's like Halo went from a game , to a profession and anyone that didn't shift with it, or couldn't, was left behind. It just all seems really sad to me that Halo M.M. has split, causing more discrimination then there already is with online games. The bashing and the hate seems to have only grown. Is it possible that Bungie and 343i sold out to the M.L.G.? I don't know but, I really hope that Halo 4 doesn't follow in example of Halo: Reach. Does 343i or Bungie even listen to their consumers, I wonder..? And if so, how does one go about offering suggestions? Thanks for reading. Happy Gaming!! <3
  7. Hey, pandabare here.... Just got Halo 3 back the other day, can't stand Reach.. So I need some friends! Let's FINISH THE FIGHT together! xD I'm down to work on achievements or any other thing on Halo 3... So add me!!! ThePandabare HALO 3 IS KING!!
  8. It was a run by coning!!! LOLOL. Thank you for sharing this!
  9. I really hope they don't end the Halo 3 server :-/

    1. DaveAtStateFarm

      DaveAtStateFarm

They won't. if they take down its server, 360 server would be down too.

    2. CandiBunni

      CandiBunni

Well Twinreaper did say that Halo 3 uses its own individual servers, so... I honestly don't know.

  10. I know this is a bit off subject.. But, I haven't played Halo 3 in years. Now I've got a Xbox again and I can't stand the lame 10 min ban on the matchmaking in Halo: Reach. Is Halo 3 still the same online, or did they add that 3 day, ten min ban on there too???
  11. Thank you, RedStarRocket. And I completely agree with you too! What I can't understand is.. All these other FPS got all their ideas from Halo multiplayer (Halo set the basis for online multiplayer, now a days and I'll argue that til the day I die).. But, Halo for whatever reason doesn't want to learn from example. Why 343/Bungie?!? Why?!? :wallbash:
  12. Well, they could fix a few things if they really wanted to around this area. First, they could end the 10 min temp ban, period. There is no reason for that in the first place. Makes them look like "control hogs." Second, they could change the "booting" system. They could set it to recognize if there is an enemy team member around when a teammate gets betrayed. This would end the unfair booting. It wouldn't be hard for the system to determine if their is an enemy withing a certain radius of a betrayal. And... For them to say this isn't possible is because of 1 of 2 things. Either they don't care or they don't care. These people are programmers from accredited universities, I am sure and have no doubt that they are intelligent. So.. any other reason is beyond me. Third, they need to stop sending the message that "if you're not pro, then go home." I realize this isn't what they actually say but, that is the message that they are sending to people that get punished for not playing the game well. Isn't that why there is the report, or the "Rep" option is for???? I don't know why they change this in the first place. I realize that the MLG is now, most likely, a HUGE supporter.. but does that mean the player base outside of the MLG.. no longer matters, or what?!? Halo 2 online wasn't like this. If you purposely betrayed someone, you were usually kicked cause your teammate got the option to boot. If it was an accident because of a rogue grenade or tank shot... You didn't get booted.. Why? Because it knew it was an accident. How? Why? Idk. But, I know I dedicated many hours to the t.v., Xbox, and Halo 2 and never had to face these problems, like I do now, in Halo: Reach.
  13. I wasn't trying to say it was just because of the ten min ban, though it may have come across that way. I like to play BTB because then I can use the tank, cause I'm actually really good with the tank.. Until someone on my team walks into the path of the enemy I am shooting. :/ I'm being penalized for that, so it's either never play BTB again, cause I couldn't keep myself out of the tanks.. Or just give it all up. Cause that ten min ban is for three days of not getting booted, at a time. It's just lame that I can't enjoy the game like everyone else, cause I'm accident prone. :'(
  14. I don't have a problem with the boot option at all. I have a problem though, with the ten min ban that is followed thereafter. Like I said, I don't make it a point to betray my team, in any way, especially since learning about the ban process. But, every time someone guns me down on purpose, I am never given the option to ban. Did I get a bad disc, bad Xbox..? Or should I just give up and move on.. Cause I'm never gonna be pro material? I can't see being on ban probation for 3 days. That's really harsh. If they want to keep the 10 min ban, they should at least do it against the people that are quitting games, not because they accidentally betray someone.
