  5. Halo Wars 2 Atriox Trailer

    Recently, 343 released its second trailer for the upcoming Halo Wars 2 during the Game Awards. The trailer focuses on the main antagonist and the Brute commander of the Banished, Atriox. It starts with Isabel, the new logistics AI found by Red Team on the Ark telling them about Atriox's past and how he came to be the ruthless leader of his faction that he is today - "And so battle by battle, war by war, Atriox was born." I'll let the trailer do the storytelling itself:

     

     

     

    Halo Wars 2 will be releasing February 2017 and if you buy the Ultimate Edition you get Halo Wars Definitive Edition for free which they also released a trailer for.

    Atriox recognizes he is being threatened but is clearly unafraid of the leader of this particular squad of Elites from the Silent Shadow.

    This is either the result of the glassing beam breaking the Ark's surface or the Ark is in trouble for other reasons.

    Boamx was picked up by 6S but has recently switched to Starboys.

     

    For the latest in NA am scene, tune into the ESM League Mondays and Fridays at 8PM EST on hitbox.tv/platinum5tv

     

     

    And for HCS EU, Fab Esports has just won the Fall 2016 Halo 5 EU champions. Infused took second place and 2 AM teams are moving through relegation to the EU Pro League if I recall.

     

    HCS NA finals are next weekend so tune in on twitch.tv/halo

     

     

    Finally, the Female Pro League is looking for female Halo players to make a large circuit!

    I share a lot of them with Melody. In no order I'd say the Gears of War Lancer. I mean that thing is just awesome. Then I'd have to pick the BRR55HB - the Halo 3 BR model. Sora's Keyblade is iconic and I have to copy that answer as well :D. I wanna also add the Hidden Blade from Assassin's Creed - just a great idea. And the Bob-omb from Super Smash Bros. It's always hectic when that lands on the field. And Naruto is show but it has games too so I wanna add Zabusa's Executioner Blade to this list.

  9. Halo Players Are Entitled According To 343 Industries Employee

    I blame Microsoft's deadlines of having to put out a title every year or every other one as a big problem with the franchise's declining quality along with gamers themselves.

     

    Players do feel entitled because they've been exposed to games that don't feel complete for so long that when the remastered versions of these games come out and feel like they satisfy all their needs with their simplicity, they start to hate the other games for being more complicated. If we were to get a Halo 3 Anniversary alone like a lot of people seem to want it'd only further this behavior. People will be paying 60 dollars for a reskinned, 60fps, already-launched game with possible dedicated servers and better projectile registration and maybe some extra easter eggs in the campaign. 

     

    This all sounds great but how long can people replay the same campaign and multiplayer maps they played the **** out of from 2007-2009/10. There's simply no way to please the entire Halo Community. They weren't all happy before either but it wasn't as widely known because of the lack of social media platforms giving a voice to every single person that plays. 

     

    I think 343 needs to launch different playlists to try things out almost like a weekly occurring beta if you would. This way we can try classic settings, no sprint, no radar, everything but armor abilities, BR starts, new doubles map configurations, new FFA settings and map configurations, and anything else people say they want.  

     

    CoD is having the same problem with IW which may not have competitive eSports because of it and people are also talking about how MWR isn't really good for competitive play these days either which is a very serious issue for that community. 

     

    The gaming community in general has just gotten spoiled.

    I'm really looking forward to Blitz. Admittedly the original beta was not so fun for me probably because I sucked at it because it didn't play exactly like the first Halo Wars but I'm really happy they're doing a Blitz beta. Canon Fodder was good this week!

    Hey Bcross. Welcome to the site. I like to play competitively and I'd be glad to run Arena with you guys. I'm not looking for a real commitment for a team or anything though. I'm Onyx 1760 in Arena because I've recently lost 100 CSR after running without a full team but still a long ways to go before I'm 2000 level.
