  1. Yup! That video sums up all my complaints exactly! XD I hope 343 is listening...
  2. I got it; figured it out. The yaw alignment of all my pieces was off by 1 point, caused by me saving the map with another person forging with me. Apparently, it's a known bug. http://halocommunity...-4-Forge-Quirks -Quirk 2
  3. Pieces shifting, eh? It's doing that to me now! I spent 12 hours forging yesterday! 12 HOURS working to align my entire base structure in Impact! I log on today, all the pieces' alignment is totally off! So I access the backup copy, and everything seems okay, so I save the backup as a new file, but when I access the new file and the backup copy a second time, the pieces have shifted in the backup copy, too! And every single one of them was locked! According to the coordinates, the yaw of every piece shifted by 1 point, and I'm not sure how this has happened. Either way, the bigger question: how do I stop it?
  4. My only complaint is that sometimes I don't have enough pieces to build what I want, and that Forge is missing some critical features from Reach: -a zoom feature when in Monitor mode -a precision moving feature activated by clicking in the stick or pulling the trigger -constantly resetting the view when grabbing a piece -loading lighting every time the player switches between Monitor and Spartan Impact is good for a blank canvas map, but I do agree with the idea that there should be a Forge World map.
  5. I support this as well! Impact is a nice space-based one, but we need something on the ground. Something like Foundary or (that sand-based one, Sandbox, Sandtrap, or something) from Halo 3, or the actual Forge World from Reach, with all sorts of different structures available! Honestly, sometimes 100 structure pieces just aren't enough!
  6. Hey, guys. Halo 4 Forge is missing 3 critical features which were in Halo: Reach Forge. This factor makes it frustratingly difficult to precisely align pieces. -zoom feature for Monitor -stick-activated precise nudging feature (which can move pieces ever so slightly, even less than what a coordinate move will provide, which is sometimes needed for proper alignment) -no view reset when grabbing a piece (currently, your view resets every time you grab a piece, which can cause your Monitor to bounce and ricochet off a structure, and if it gets trapped and forcibly moved, your piece sometimes moves with you) I would encourage 343 to put in the zoom featured and trigger-activated nudge system and to remove view resetting for Forge in order to cut down on frustration. And I'm not wild about the delays caused by switching between Monitor and Spartan over lighting adjustments, but I suppose that can't be helped.
  7. The topic has merit. Some things which were in Reach have been removed from Halo 4, and I really hate the lightning adjustment every time we switch between Monitor and Spartan. It's causing me some annoying delays. Furthermore, the fact that we can't zoom in, our view gets reset every time we grab a piece, and the lack of a precision alignment nudge button (i.e., pulling and holding down a trigger or bumper) means that aligning ever so precisely is quite literally hit or miss. And I'm starting to suspect that the magnets are causing my piece yaws and rolls to become misaligned...
  8. I have to admit, he's right. I'm so annoyed that some critical things which helped me align pieces have been removed: -zooming in -precision nudging via holding down one of the bumpers -no view reset whenever you grab a piece (the system is now resetting your view, and if your Monitor gets trapped in an adjacent building while still holding your piece, your piece could end up getting ejected along with your Monitor) I've been getting really frustrated at having my pieces go haywire or get misaligned and being unable to properly line them up. Sometimes I need to get in very close and align even more precisely that what the coordinate system will allow me to do. I hope 343 will restore/fix these features.
