Hello,

This is my first post on the forum and the first time I've ever bothered to write in a forum.

Firstly a tiny bit about myself.

I'm 18, from the UK and play a game called Counter Strike Source competitively on the PC online and at LAN.
I don't have an XBOX 360 but have played all the halo's quite a lot. Especially the first one when it was released on the original Xbox.

If you're wondering why I don't have an Xbox 360... Genuinely I prefer PC games and a computer over a console due to it's capabilities. I work from my computer so being able to take a break and play games on it is a huge bonus.

Also, I'm not an essay writer and I'm genuinely crap at English so be nice :-) I'm only a human with a dream!

Halo 4 for the PC

This has been going around for a while now... Well back when Halo 3 was released people were extremely excited. Heck a lot of people bought an Xbox 360 over a PS3 just for the fact Halo was only for the Xbox. All the PC gamers were excited for Halo 3 hoping it would be released on the PC due to the graphical capabilities of hardware used in computers over consoles. Yet it didn't happen. Now Halo 4 was announced and once again it's only for Xbox and we ask ourselves why?

The game has now been taken over by 343 industries... I don't know anything about them or anything about the previous people at Bungie. But this gives me some hope that we will see the game produced for the PC. It has massive capabilities to be the best PC fps shooter of all time and I really don't see why it hasn't been done yet. I could see this being the game at LAN for PC with the biggest prize pot ever seen.

If it's not going to be produced then give us (the pc gamers) an answer on why it can't and won't be. I can understand the concern for it being pirated but the law is changing drastically all over the world forcing ISP's to block a lot of pirate sites and think this could be a new start.

Honestly, you say Halo to anyone... from the PS3, Xbox, PC and 99 percent of the time there jaw drops. We all love the game. Absolutely love it and it's a shame it can't be expanded to different platforms. Especially PC including Microsoft and Xbox live are a huge part of the PC industry already.

Show some support and/or tell me why this hasn't happened already.

I can't answer your question but Halo 2 was a LOT of fun when I played it on PC. I don't see any harm in a PC release but I think the Halo franchise is just really tight with Xbox so they don't wanna share for some reason? They like keeping it console exclusive. Getcha an Xbox 360 and play up with us man!

We talked about this previiously. The majority of us thought that this would provide to many ways for players to hack the game.

Computers have become more untrustworthy over the years. Also we don't know how games will function on the next gen console. So some features on that might not work on the pc for halo 5 and 6

no pc version of halo 4 we don't get diablo 3 to xbox and a lot of other games to so we're even

It would be nice to have but I think 343industries will keep it on the Xbox.

i think its because consoles in the future will surpass gaming on the computers so they want to keep it where it most people would play it and where the most potencial is but i do like computer games, dont get me wrong

That will most likely never happen. They will always make new Graphic Cards for the PC and you can easily replace them. You wont be able to replace the card on consoles which is why PC gaming will always be better. Plus the stuff you can do on PC games is outstanding consoles limit all the things you can do.

you have a point, i just think that if it went for the computer then less people would play it ( it grew up with the xbox console so people are comfortable with is on the xbox. now im not against custom editions made for pc like they did for halo 1 and 2 but not for the same game on both console and computerl. it needs to be changed a little to go on the cuomputer. (it would be awsome if they added 16 vs 16 on the computer though)

Yeah, its basically the same thing. But I think its better on the PC. Just look at Halo 2 Vista. It may be a little buggy at times but its so amazing. Since its a Windows Live game you can use your Xbox 360 controller plus you can earn achievements. I also think its better because you can download maps and completely make your own. Halo for the PC is amazing. If it came out for the PC, since it would be a Windows Live game, I'd get it for the PC and the Xbox.

Well it is their first game. Maybe Halo 5 will have a PC version... or maybe they'll release the PC version a few months after the Xbox version.
