@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:40 AM) @ShockGazm I enjoy it to but the fourth nails it for me. Because it focus more on the characters.
@  Halo6 Follower : (01 October 2016 - 03:40 AM) A lot of old users have been popping in over the last week. Absolute Dog was in here, Cooliest, ShockGazm, and now you.
@  ShockGazm : (01 October 2016 - 03:39 AM) @Caboose The Ace Not for me but that's fair enough man. I liked the first Halo's story. Must be the nostalgia
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:39 AM) @ShockGazm I'm guessing it was a combo of being rushed to deadlines and the developers have little bounds in terms of creativity.
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:39 AM) @Halo6 Follower Yeah, I decided to pop up here and say hi for once.
@  Halo6 Follower : (01 October 2016 - 03:38 AM) Oh hey Caboose! Nice to see you in the SB again
@  Halo6 Follower : (01 October 2016 - 03:38 AM) I walked downstairs and mum's instantly like: 'Oh Lewis! I have the car for you to unpack...' (She's been out filming, so yeah...Lots of props to bring inside)
@  ShockGazm : (01 October 2016 - 03:37 AM) @Caboose The Ace Yeah, devs are keeping to themselves about that.
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:36 AM) @ShockGazm Yeah, or No Mans Lie. I actually brought that game and I like it. But they lied so much
@  ShockGazm : (01 October 2016 - 03:36 AM) @Halo6 Follower It's all good bro!
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:36 AM) @Halo6 Follower Welcome back
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:36 AM) Halo 4's story was the best in the series.
@  Halo6 Follower : (01 October 2016 - 03:36 AM) I'm back, sorry about that.
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:35 AM) @ShockGazm In terms of level design, no. But the story made up for that.
@  ShockGazm : (01 October 2016 - 03:35 AM) @Caboose The Ace It's like that for a lot of games these days. Just look at No Mans Sky
@  ShockGazm : (01 October 2016 - 03:35 AM) I liked Halo 4. It was weird to play at first but I didn't mind it. I really like the campaign. Obviously not as good as the previous games but still
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:34 AM) @ShockGazm It would if the story wasn't trash. I feel the story we got from the trailers was far more interesting compared to what we got.
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:33 AM) Even Halo 4 does, that game does not get enough credit. Good level design, amazing story, good multiplayer and Spartan Ops.
@  ShockGazm : (01 October 2016 - 03:32 AM) The fact that the ending was a cliffhanger annoyed me a bit.
@  Caboose The Ace : (01 October 2016 - 03:32 AM) @ShockGazm It feels better than 5. 5 just does not feel like Halo

No instruction manual in my Halo 4 video game?! Please I beg you Microsoft to allow customers to receive a printed copy of the manual for this game. Paying $60 for a video game is a rip off if its not included. As a video game collector, I feel that the games package, the included game, the manual, and other inserts all combine to create an exceptional work of art.
I will not be completely satisfied with Microsoft products until this is resolved!

Yea pretty much all new games have like 3 pages of a manual. I remember when they were a lot bigger, not to long ago really.

Kid Cudi | Chance The Rapper | Flatbush Zombies | Wiz Khalifa | A$AP Mob

Isaiah Rashad | Kendrick Lamar | Curren$y | Joey Bada$$ | Q | Game

Why do you need a manual for the game? The controls are in the game itself... Only thing I can see a manual being used for is to figure out the controls... And for something like Halo 4, with a variety of control schemes.... A manual really isn't needed...

Sad how this is the world we live in, no instructions for games anymore. It ****** me off it's like giving the finger to customers who actually like reading a manual.

They were never really that useful anyway except for in strategy or rpg games. Everything is explained to you in-game anyway.

The need of manuals is long gone. Back in the day when games were limited in size, a manual was a great way to explain things such as the controls, story, etc but we don't really have those limitations now so what's the point of a manual if you essentially have a digital copy with your game? Sure it doesn't have pages that you can turn but everything you need to know is in the game itself.

And it's a waste of paper. Most people that get games these days wouldn't even open their manual if one came with their new game purchase.

Also, not having a manual does not make a game worth 'less' for a collector so I don't see why people are getting cranky over the lack of a manual. Just buy the books/comics if you want to read/look at something.

If you think somebody has posted something useful, show your appreciation and hit 'Like'

It's not that the manual is useful, it's the fact of a game having one that just makes it better.

Say, I open up an old video game. Inside, there's the game itself, an instruction manual, a quick-reference sheet, maybe even a little poster. It feels cool to have all that stuff there. When I open a game today, there's a disk in there, maybe a one/two sheet "instructions manual", and a waver with a code on it.

It just doesn't have the same feeling anymore...

343 explained why they did this on an update on Halo Waypoint i think
Writ of Union-"So full of hate were our eyes, that none of us could see. Our war would yield countless dead but never victory. So let us cast arms aside and like discard our wrath. Thou, in faith, will keep us safe, whilst we find the path"

-Ramo 'Talusee- Minor- Crusading Spirit
"All who walk the blessed path will find salvation, even in death. "
