Mysterious "Forza Horizon" Trailer Surfaces on the Web

Recommended Posts

A mysterious "tone" trailer for a titled billed as, Forza Horizon, has appeared on the web this morning, causing a stir amongst the gaming community.

The live-action trailer doesn't really give that much away, but does have the emblem of Playground Games at the beginning, the moniker Forza Horizon at the end with a fall 2012 release period mentioned within.

There's no saying whether this is real, but Playground Games' Gavin Raeburn, an ex-Codies Studio Executive, has revealed by his LinkedIn profile that he's working on an "unannounced AAA title for a major publisher."

The studio was previously rumoured to be working on the open-world Forza World.

Time will only tell what Forza Horizon is. Keep your ear to the ground.

This is just speculation but with a release date of Fall 2012, the non-drivable Warthog of Forza 4, and the possibility of it being open world...

...drivable Warthog?

I doubt it, the Warthog was only put in as a tease i think, if they were serious about it, it would probably been drivable in Forza 4.

I'm hoping the only reason it wasn't actually in Forza 4 is that it's top speed is 78 MPH, if Horizon is actually open world and doesn't try to keep you within tight roadside boundaries and maybe a few off road tracks are included I could see the teaser Warthog being a hint. Although, I definitely share your doubt about a drivable Warthog ever making an appearance in a Forza title, it's highly unlikely and the Autovista version might have been the only Forza hype for Halo 4 but the possibility that they could be developing an open world game which could have room for utilizing a vehicle like the Warthog makes me giddy. Improbable, yes, but not im :drool:able

A drivable warthog would be great for really bumpy off-road maps, no doubt, and like you say, only having an autovista of a vehicle we already know about isn't much of a give-away for Halo 4. Maybe even as DLC the warthog could be included. But then , you have to think about what Forza is, a serious racing game, and a gimmick like a warthog wouldn't be very serious.
