This was the case with BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, and XCOM 2 Collection, all of which released in May on Switch for $50 each. If you've wanted to play any of these stellar collections, Amazon has all three discounted to their lowest price yet at $35 each. Best Buy also had BioShock: The Collection and Borderlands Legendary Collection on sale for $35 over the weekend. To be clear, these collections were probably worth the full price already if you hadn't played them on a different platform. But if you were looking to revisit them on a handheld device, the retail price for Switch greatly eclipsed what you'd pay to play any of these on PS4, Xbox One, or PC.
