Vitamin Pwn
i know how you feel keefy, i played 3 elder scroll game starting with Morrowind and they all have been addicting. Wood elf is a good choice for sneaky and/or ranged characters because thats what they specialize in, but you play how you want. i'm playing as a Nord and im dual wielding swords right now, i'll probably make a high elf or breton mage soon though
Choot 'em
It is pretty addicting!! My first character is a High Elf mage. I usually start with the "warrior" type in RPG's but decided to change it up a bit for Skyrim. I can definately see spending over 100 hours with this game. Not going to rate just yet, i'll wait until i delve a little deeper into the story. So far it's as close to 10 as i'd expect from Bethesda!!

SuperIntendant
My only complaint about Skyrim is that it doesn't have Multiplayer. Other then that it looks like a good game and I will be editing this post tomorrow after I play with the game for a bit with my full review.
