Halo 5: Spectres, Prowlers, Revenants, or a new one all together?

We can all agree with the absense of Covie Vehicles being a Large letdown. But Halo 5 is a big topic so maybee we can try to all help 343 with an idea. Here is some Covie Warthogs:

 

Spectre: a true covie warthog, widley used by Sangheili (Elites) but have been seen being used by Jiralhanae (brutes), 1 Driver in Front, 2 Passengers on both sides, and 1 Gunner on back. Armed with 1 Plasma Turret.

Color: Redish Magenta

 

Prowler: Backwards Spectre, Used only by Jiralhanae. 1 Driver in Back, 2 Passengers on both sides, and 1 Gunner in front. Armed with 1 Plasma Turret.

Color: Ivory

 

Revenant: Tiny Wraith, Used only by Sangheili. 1 Driver on Left side and 1 Passenger on Right side. Armed with Light Mortar.

all of these vehicles sucked in halo.. im pretty sure thats why they were removed.. but if i had to take a vote i would pic the prowler, even though the brutes play no part in halo 4

 

and maybe a promethean vehicle.. i was expecting that in the beginning of halo 4

I'm thinking of a Spectre (promotes teamwork) with the boost of a Revenant (good for splatters), the blue gun of a Ghost (anti-infantry), and a Plasma Grenade turret that launches one grenade in a slow arc. I think the grenade launcher is slightly more balanced than the

mortar in that it is harder to stick people than kill them with splash damage. I don't know what to call it except for the Spectre 2.0.

I would love it if they at least added the Revenant and the Spectre. I love the Revenant in halo reach and the Spectre just seems amazing. Now I do not want the Revenant that was cut from halo 4, that was basically a Specrte. Halo 4 was lacking in covenant vehicles as there was only 3. Their definitely needs to be more covenant vehicles in halo 5. I do not want to see a new covenant vehicle in halo 5 instead of a return of a return of previous vehicles. Here is a list of vehicles that I would like to see return:

 

UNSC:

Sparrowhawk (also simply called the "Hawk" for short)

Hornet

Falcon

Kestrel (was in Halo: Spartan Strike)

Vulture

Troop Hog (a warthog troop transport variant)

Wolverine (an anti air tank to help balance all the air vehicles)

Rhino (the plasma tank from Halo Wars)

Cobra (an anti vehicle mini tank to balance the large number of vehicles)

 

Covenant:

Vampire

Revenant

Spectre

Chopper

Locust (a mini scarab that would be a good counter to the Mantis)

AA Wraith (the Anti Air wraith is the Covenant counterpart to the Wolverine)

 

I know that 343 can't add all of them, but at lease add as many as you can and make the vehicles that were only in 1 game more important to add. Halo 5 also needs at lease 1 UNSC flying vehicle.

The 'VTOL' is actually the Kestrel, a vehicle cut from Halo 2.

It is also a Mega Bloks set, from the 2014 lineup, I believe.

Yeah mega bloks called it the vtol so I assumed that was its name.

The Blind Wolves, Sky Whales and a bunch of other cut creatures are finally in in Hunters In The Dark. Same for sentinel Retrievers.

 

Halo 2 also had a level where you boarded a covenant carrier, a cutscene showing the arbiter stuff later shown in the terminals, a mongoose an gungoose, spartan laser and Boone variants of 'Hog such as a half-track arctic vehicle.

 

Most content tht gets cut is because of time constraints; Reach's concept art shows an attack boat and a grenade launcher not unlike the modern day M32 MGL.

 

Personally, I love seeing older ideas brought back in before seeing new stuff; no point wasting an existing concept, right? That's my reasoning.

 

Plus, although the REAP-X division of ONI (Desicated to studying xenoarcheolgy and xenoengineering) is canon, not all the sets in that range are (The 'quad walker' is a good example of this). MB gets a lot of freedom, though a lot of stuff like the NMPD Hornet was visualised in ODST concepts, and the variants of Cyclops (Including riot (watercannon), Hazmat (flamethrower) and battle (has a gun)) have all been canonised. Really, it's best to accept their original sets are probably not canon unless they have appeared in media.

 

Really, the Kestrel is just a hornet without the bottom bit. Similar mechanism.

 

Damn, I really wish we got that boat on forge world. Fun fact; the Revenant very nearly made it's way into Halo 4. There's a video of it on YouTube somewhere.

Seems reasonable, I'm not against the ideas unless they're stupid, of course. Lol.

No it was cut just before release. There is no passenger seat and the plasma mortar was replaced by a plasma turret. It is still a 2 person vehicle but it's basically a crappy Spectre.

Ah, now I understand. Highly acceptable. I would have hated to see the Revenant return. Was a good idea, but wouldn't have last in Halo 4.

I actually really want to see the revenant return but not with the halo 4 design. I hated that design. Would much rather see the halo reach design.

Isn't this topic kind of old? Either way, I liked the Revenant and the Spectre and a new Covie vehicle would be great to see.

Yeah, it made it into modelling and textures stages, hidden in game files. It's on GameCheat13's channel, IIRC. I'm quite find I the design, it goes well with the insectoid design of the Hesduros covenant.
