Does xp cap affect campaign?

Can I still get XP playing campaign although I hit the cap?

I have hit the cap several times now and anytime I play campaign unless there is a challenge available for it I never seem to get credits for it. I do know though once you hit the XP Cap NO CREDITS count. Whether you up your commendations or get a completed challenge none of it will count towards leveling at least it hasn't for me I never get anything once I cap.

I have never gotten xp for playing the campaign. I am on my second play through and I have already capped. The only thing I have gotten xp for was the challenges and commendations but other then that nothing and once you hit cap at 70 you do not get any other xp until the code for the other 6 specializations are released.
