INACTIVE Posted September 24, 2012 Report Share Posted September 24, 2012 Upon the release of Halo 4 I will be starting a group. Not so much a clan because there will be no ranking structure and no real rules. The Mercenaries will be a group of players, all the members will fall under two types of people. Type 1) This group will be the players who are current looking for a clan and still want to be a part of something during that wait. The Mercenaries will allow clan to have a place to easily find new recruits that want to join the instead of aimlessly searching online forums and matchmaking lobbies. Type 2) The players that inhabit this group will be those who like the aspects of being in a clan (clan battles, people to play with, etc.), but don't really want to have the responsibility. As stated above, some members, if the so chose, can participate in clan matches. Now, these clan matches will not be between the Mercenaries and other clan, but, instead clans will "hire" members of the Mercenaries to fight for them if the don't have enough of their own members or if they don't have enough good members available. The only thing that is suggested, not required, is that your service tag be changed to "Merc1" or "Merc2" while you are a part of the Mercenaries so that you can be easily identified as a Mercenary. Merc1 means you're in the first group mentioned above and Merc2 stands for the second group. If you want to join message me here or on XBL (GT: Reaper2148) after the release of Halo 4. I, as the founder of the Mercenaries, will decide who the initial members are who join. After there are a few members it will be up to them if they want potential recruits to join. This means that it is up to the group as a whole who joins. Edit: If you have questions ask me in a PM, I don't want to have this thread filled with random comments any more than it already is. 2nd Edit: I'm not sure if Sangheili will be playable, but, if they are then both Sangheili players and Spartan players are welcome to join. While looking around to see how other clans were doing, I noticed your post, and am very intrigued. As a recruiting resource, your group would be an invaluable way to find great players. My clan, Xe03, has traditionally been tight knit (a high of 24 players). As such, high skill is even more important. Would you ever consider having your group hold ranking matches for those who are actively seeking another clan? By doing so, we would find it easier to accept your recruits. I propose some kind of partnership, though it would in no way be monogamous ( have as many partner clans as you want ). We would love to be part of your goals. Thanks for your time. Its not your thread. Please refrain from using large and disruptive texts. If you do so again in this thread I will report you. You're not a mod. Its not like they're hacking or anything. Why do you think the option for large text is there? If they want to use it they can. It doesn't say in the rules that you can't. I'm not going to have a training regiment of any kind because that would be contradicting the original rules. The peolpe who join this group are not looking for order or responsibility, they are looking for a good time (or to be recruited). But, don't let this stop you from asking the members you want to train with you, I'm just saying that I'm not going to be doing it within the Mercenaries.
