  1. Rockstar has recently confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto franchise has shipped a combined total of over 220 million units in its lifetime! Grand Theft Auto is a massively popular franchise created and published by Rockstar Games. The series recently reached a milestone that very few other titles will ever see, 220 million units shipped with all games combined. IGN.com reported the sales numbers, stating that shockingly, Grand Theft Auto V made up quite a hefty number in that. Grand Theft Auto V actually sold 54 million of those total copies, representing about 1/4 of the total. It was also confirmed that Red Dead Redemption, the highly popular western also made by Rockstar Games, had sold-in 14 million units to-date. Grand Theft Auto V is available for sale right now, currently, no future paid content for the game has been detailed by Rockstar. 2. http://gamerant.com/grand-theft-auto-online-details/ Information has been released regarding GTAV's online mode. TL:DR version as follows: Character customization is apparently taking a cue from The Sims, making you choose your character's parents to make a base appearance, and tweaking it from there. There are even choices to make for your personality that affect your character's in-game performance (I.E. Smoker - lower stamina, as of yet, there is no known boost, and others have yet to be named.) 500+ online missions. Yeah. 500. Online missions support a simple speech recognition mechanic. what this means, is if you're waiting for a teller to fill your bag with money from a safe, you can yell something akin to "Hurry the up!" and they will work quicker. The online is a maximum 16 players, starting with your crew, then filling in with players close to your level. Your character is a new arrival in the city, similar to CJ in GTA:SA. The story of Online takes place after the events of the single player mode, meaning several character's with be making Cameos, however it is unclear whether any of the Protagonists will. The online mode will make use of GTAV's 49 square-mile map. That's pretty dang big... DISCUSS!
  3. GTA V will be bigger than ever New facts have been released about the newest title in the GTA series And these new facts will blow you away So without further ado, here are the newly released facts GTA V will be bigger than Red Dead Redemption, San Andreas and GTA IV combined Honestly, i don't even know how this will be possible San Andreas was huge And the worlds of Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV weren't exactly tiny either So if this is really true, i'll be at a loss of words The game will have 3 main protagonists Michael - A retired bank robber who gets sucked back into crime Trevor - A career criminal and drug addict Franklin - A 20-something street hustler You'll be able to switch between those 3 people at nearly any time Sometimes they'll work together on missions, during which you can switch back and forth from character to character depending on which part of a given mission you feel like doing Each character has his own personality, skill set, and group of friends to interact with And the ones you're not controlling will go off and do their own thing The characters will be able to form friendships with certain people, but there will be no romance You're in the same world as GTA IV and Liberty City So you may see some familiar faces along the way Just no major characters like Nico Bellic And no characters from the PS2-era There will be randomized, dynamic missions If you played Red Dead Redemption, these may feel somewhat familiar This time around, there will be hitchhikers, muggers, dead bodies and more The game will have an economy According to Rockstar, you won't be able to buy properties but there will be loads of other stuff In my opinions, these news are pretty cool Never before have i seen more than 1 main protagonist in a GTA game So i'm excited to see how that will play out I'll just go ahead and assume that these characters will play very differently Source: Kotaku
