So did you breed Chocobos for hours on end, or kick Ruby Weapon's butt to get a gold Chocobo?

Just chocobo breeding, I'm still a long way off being able to take on Ruby or Emerald!

Ruby's not so bad as long as you have 99 Dazers and a whole mess of Strength Sources, Dexterity Sources, and Luck Sources to turn your team into a bunch of tanks.
