  1. Hello everyone, as most of you know. We over at HTA are working on making UNSC Warlord a Machinima. Well, I'm here today to let you all know that we are moving in a fast progress! We already have a few scripts wrote for the first few Episodes. And we have gone over them, just to make sure they follow as close to canon as all three of the books have!

     

    Anyways, it's time to dive even deeper on where we're going with this.

     

    So far, we have confirmed these characters will be making a return in this short film:

     

    Ash

    Dexter

    Junior

    Moth

    Archangel

    Runner &

    Sarge

     

    A few of those names should at least ring a bell. As these were all created by well known forum members!

     

    Ash = Ash

    Dexter = Kakashi

    Junior = Peanut

    Moth = Moth

    Archangel = Halo6 Follower

    Runner = BATMAN

    Sarge = Yoshi

     

    With those out of the way first, we can move on to the next fun stuff!

    Currently, this Machinima takes place after Book 1-3... Of course, if you read the ending of Book 3... It sorta makes sense, as well as angers some people. You can read that here: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/42242-unsc-warlord-book-3-chapter-23/

     

    This Machinima takes place during War of The Created, and quickly takes turn of events as our beloved ship Warlord interprets a message, saying that they're needed to send a small army along with a ship to deal with an Insurrectionist threat. Which is wear we find out about our new Villain: Tespan. Who replaces the well known previous antagonist: Lan Chorus. Tespan is unknown at first, but is quickly discovered to have two siblings. Agnes and Sisk. Both whom are a threat as well. Tespan's plans are unknown for the first bit, but as the team dives deeper; they find out the truth as to why they were sent on this mission and it's only a matter of time before time runs out.

     

    During this Machinima, we will be having our own personal soundtrack of music we picked out as well as music we have played.

    All of our music is licensed for use, which greatly helps with our process of making it happen.

    As well as we have one of our following members, @ helping us with video editing and what not. Making sure this video gives you the full effect of what's going on. H6WBC has also mentioned to us about how he found a way to make some visor effects and what not for this Machinima. Which will be great, and soon revealed in time! 

     

    Continuing on with this subject, we would also like to copy and pasta our latest announcement on the Machinima:

     

     

    -We will be beginning around the middle of July. -We need about 10 voice actors for major roles and anything for side roles.

    -There is 15 Episodes, 2 of them already have been wrote. The next three are currently be worked on.

    -If anybody could help body act that would be amazing. Especially since we're planning on most episodes consisting 12+ players.

    -Preferably at least one female voice actors for our one lead female role.

  2. Well it could, but Halo has taken a CoD turn as many other games have. I don't think it's a matter of "What can they do to be better/return" as much as people just stopped caring. 

     

    Don't get me wrong, people still play CoD, but the population has dropped enormously since the older games. Hell, you can leave and join back into the same lobby 5 minutes later, I've done that countless times.

     

    Battlefield was always a so-so game with not many players but not a low population. However, Battlefield 1 comes around. Pfft, cool and all but didn't bring attention.

     

    And for Halo, it's pretty much the same. Halo 5 was a great start in a good direction, Multiplayer gameplay was great and the mechanics were great. Haters hated, and caused many people to make it a norm. Ex: Spartan Charge, it's not as bad as it sounds but since others complain, you will too... Halo 5 was the best step towards a great Multiplayer. Just stupid decisions by devs that impacted what was already available in place. But that didn't stop people from playing though. Facing smurfs or playing with BR's instead of Magnums didn't cause a huge impact enough for people to quit the game, just the things they used to love to play.

    Campaign was a bad step, but lets be honest. A lot of players have yet to even finish the Campaign, the Campaign completion progress says less than 30% at this moment. So Campaign means NOTHING. As bad as most people find it, Multiplayer still holds the higher fanbase than Campaign. Which is where the nerds care anyways.

    Other than that, Halo 5 was in a great direction in the majority... But just like Battlefield and CoD, no matter how much they change or what they do. Players are dying off. Whether it be people are moving to PC or people are growing up or are done playing. Halo doesn't have much to do with its player base or impact really, it's something else and I'm not sure what.

    Good for you, your opinions are your own and you're entitled to what you paid for.

     

    However, Halo is going the opposite direction. A lot of people are switching over to Halo 5. I see at least 5 posts a day on Reddit asking "Is Halo 5 worth getting ?" And every answer is along the lines of "Yes"

     

    Also, Halo 5's soundtrack is bad? Now I know this post is by a scrub. Halo 5's soundtrack is easily up there with ODST. 343 didn't change announcers Marty carried over to Bungie and got fired because he started to suck and only knew how to remix music (Halo 3's ost was literally just Halo 2's)

     

    Also, you don't understand the difference between gameplay and lore it seems. They're the same height in Halo 5, because gameplay.

     

    Also, the fight? No that's possible and follows lore. Spartans in armour, no matter what project are on the same level with each other. Without their armour, Chief would've won yes.

     

    Read the lore bud, and stop thinking you're entitled, as well as read up on things that 343 discuss. Maybe you'd understand why your argument is flawed.

    Description:

    Players have been dropped onto this Forerunner facility, using the Tunnels to navigate themselves onto the playing field. Not only are your Spartan Abilities needed to perfect the movement speed of this map, the weapons are as well. Nothing too powerful, and nothing too weak. there's always a flank around the map, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled and ensure the strategic movement. Map revolves around gametypes, which toggle the on/off spawns to ensure good gameplay. As well as power weapons/powerups.

    HTA's Summer of No-Outside-Contact Events consists of us reaching out to users and getting them involved in their favorite games or games they just enjoy to play. Our list is currently consisted of just a few games we are considering, and some of them we have considered. Our list is not complete, but this is what it currently consists of so far:

    • You will be on a live-stream, your actions are recorded and the community will see what you did.
    • Your voice will be included, this includes your reactions and what you say.

     

    Now with that's that, let's get a few other things out there for the Community...

     

    HTA is currently working on a Minecraft "Server", for the Xbox One. We will be open to the public for the Summer for everyone to join us!

  7. Alright... So I'm back at it with the remakes/improvements to my old maps. (Because I don't know why, I like rehashing my stuff like 343 does, okay? They get feedback, and that makes me strive to improve.)

     

    Anyways, you've seen the previous version of Salient. So I'm just going to post some pictures and some details.

     

    Here are the before pictures of Salient 2.0: (Salient 2.0, was a rehash/remix of the original whereas Salient 2.1 is almost an exact copy, with a few minor tweaks for better competitive gameplay performance.)

    I like Halo 4 and Halo 5's story. Why do you have to separate the 2? 

    I'm not enjoying this video so far, it's terrible. They should hire a new VO imo, this one was annoying to listen too. If you don't have a good voice, and it takes over 5 minutes. Your video can't find claims to backup, a lot of the stuff he said was recycled. 

  9. Pretty sure the rings only take out a quadrant of the universe.

     

    As for your last question, the Halo's were a Last Resort plan. The weapons were top secret to all but a few people, so the flood didn't know they were building them until later when Mendicant Bias went rampant. Plus they were built outside the Galaxy. A Last Resort, if you don't know, is if all their other plans fail. However, they managed to only take out a few of the 30,000km rings. Except 07. However, if Installations 08-12 were to be fired. It would definitely have got rid of the flood. As I'm sure the original Gravemind moved out of the quadrant and far far away. If not, he died.

     

    But remember, there were 12 Halo Rings, 5 of them were destroyed. And I believe 07 was deactivated.

    ^^both of these have been wanted back, and they will be.

     

    As for the money from Halo 5's REQ packs. Some of it went to making new maps for the game. And the rest went to the Prize Pool at HCS.

     

    And yes, Halo 5 is competitive. Halo was always known to have competitive. Why do you think some players hated Reach? No competition. Same with Halo 4. Halo 3 was super competitive, what the **** do you think BTB Legends consist of? Where do you think Snipedown and Lunchbox came from? Ranking systems have been here since Halo 2.

     

    Halo 4 graphics? Lol, those are Bungie and 343 artstyles combined. Unlike you, Majority of the community liked Halo 4's look.

     

    Also, hate to break it to ya. But Spartan IV's are the same as Spartan II's in their armor... Otherwise Spartan II's would never advance, and the few we have left would be a letdown. Spartan's in armor are even matched, which is why Chief and Locke had what they had.

     

    Before I even go on discussing lore with you, learn it yourself. You most likely put this idea together from a few Halo Waypoint posts and Reddit posts you saw. If you can't back up your complaints. Get out.

  11. I finished the campaign today and was not that taken with it. I didn't feel emotionally invested in any of the characters and there wasn't any cutscene that made me excited or think, "Wow that was cool!" like in Halo Wars 1. The game was also quite predictable storywise. The gameplay however was very mixed and I enjoyed it. I just suck at it. 

     

    It was good and the cutscenes were beautifully designed by Blur, but the storytelling felt kind of rough.

     

     

    This and Jerome being able to insert Isabel into the neural interface of his Mk. IV Mjolnir amor which isn't supposed to have a neural interface. Red Team must've gotten the cryo upgrade treatment from Serina that Cortana gave to Chief between Halo 3 and 4.

     

     

    Yeah, because Isabel couldn't have prepped that for him beforehand. In the first mission, he puts her in there, but she says she can't see anything. Later on when she's on the SoF, she does say "Where am I?" but when she's on route to the Enduring Conviction, Jerome most likely got a small upgrade for her to be in his neural interface. Same way Douglas was able to get new armor, that had a few little exrtra modifications.

     

    Also, while there was more in-game cutscenes and dialogue (As there should be, you shouldn't be forced to watch cutscenes to understand what's going on which what was bad about the first Halo Wars. Halo Wars 2 did get rid of that stupid feature, making you have to play the campaign to understand what's going on, rather than watching the scenes in theatre.) however. You cannot tell me that Sentinel scene was not the best scene. 343 finally found a way to do what happened in Onyx, and they did what they could.

     

  12. All spoilers all the way:

     

     

     

    So the Halo at the end the game is the replacement for the Halo in CE.

     

    But the Halo in Halo 1 was orbiting a brown gas giant and the one at the end of Halo 5 was orbiting a blue gas giant but I suppose it could of been forced out of slipspace by the Guardian into orbit around another gas planet

     

    Anders said the Ark always has a back up ready to go. The one in Halo 3 could of been the first one, got destroyed, so the Ark, on auto pilot, just made a second one.

    From Halo 1 to Halo 3 was only a few months which is why the Halo in Halo 3 wasn’t fully finished. From Halo 3 to Halo Wars 2 was like 5 years, which is why the second one was fully finished.

     

    The game ends with a scene of Atriox and his army still left on the ark which is presumably where the multi-player picks up. Atriox and SoF fighting for control of the Ark. I believe they are doing Campaign DLC, which may be from Atriox's view.

     

    Major problem,

    The Warthog at the start was the post Covenant war model (square bullet shield and jerry cans). That really ground my gears as SoF wouldn't of had access to it, just coming out of hiding after 30 years and all. Literally unplayable.

     

     

     

     

    Yes, we know this. Installation 04B was destroyed, because Chief pre-fired it, which is the whole reason Johnson died. Installation 00 makes a replacement, but that doesn't mean it's complete. 04B was launched really early, Refugia wasn't even taken in effect yet. Except for the Control Room. (And that was barely done, the only reason it was started was because it was needed. That's all known, everyone knows that. 

     

    So after the destruction of 04B in Halo 3, Installation 00 started to make a full replacement, 04C. Although, it was already known it could've been 2 Installations. 04C or 03B, since 03 was in need of repairs. But this is not the case, Installation 00 was in standby, which is exactly why the Banished were there. They could make another Installation (Of course, they didn't care which one. They just wanted one.) and send it somewhere. My guess is if the UNSC didn't interfere, Atriox would've activated the rings and destroyed everything. So he could rule by himself.

     

    Also, the Halo Wars 2 Multiplayer is non-canon, it's just for RTS fun. There's no way they could make it canon, especially since SoF was so far behind in technology that Red Team don't even have shields. (Basically a game of SWAT, one Carbine shot could've killed them.)

     

    As for you Warthog rage... Are you kidding me? That makes total sense to have Jerry cans on the Warthog. The only reason it wasn't in previous games was because of gameplay. Most Warthogs carry Jerry Cans, how do you think they fuel up? Plus, how does this bother you and not the fact that they now have Nightangle and Condors? Those are post-war was well. But yet, the only thing that bothers you is the Warthog? They have them because they took them from the UNSC wreckage...
