  1. You should have posted this in "Halo Combat Evolved + Anniversary" But to answer your question I think so. An extremely few amount of people probably do. I played a few games last year and the population seemed fine. Also a small amount of people still play Halo 2 Vista and I don't have a trouble finding games. You will probably get bored easily unless you already have copies of the game I would say waste your money on Halo 2 Vista. More people play it, and if you find that fun go to Halo Custom Edition.

  2. Teabagging started in real life I don't know how but I guess bullies did it just as a bully would give a wedgie or swirly or take your lunch money(I have never seen do a bully do any of those things so I don't know why people say that) Well to put it shortly jerks that would teabag in real life started doing it in Halo 2 I guess since there was Xbox Live as a way of saying "haha suk it Lol xD"

  3. Thanks. Hope to hear back from you.

So I couldn't playtest the map as I wanted too but I went in forge to check it out and feel like it will do well in 1v1 and 2v2 gametypes. 3v3 seems good as well but hectic. I also have a problem with the rock ramps in the middle if you enter at a certain angle you can't just walk up into it? I've never used Forge Islands(The background displeases me) so I don't know how the rocks work and if there is nothing you can do to fix that. Also on red side the crate jump seems to only work if you crouch jump(Again due to the rock) Other then that it seems like a fun map to play and hopefully I can get some playtime into it. It even seems fun for Gun Game.

  4. Yes it did but how many still play it ( not much )

So you're telling me 1,000+ people in a single playlist isn't that much? We need to view numbers more realistically. I go on Halo 4 daily and the numbers change drastically each day. Yesterday there weren't many people on but on Sunday it felt like Halo 3 again. I am convinced that people are split between too many games nowadays. We didn't have a battlefield on consoles back during Halo 3's launch(Bad Company came out in 08 I believe) and Call Of Duty just started becoming popular. Plus there were only 4 Halo games to play online at the time (Halo 2 and 3 and Halo 2 Vista and Halo CE PC) Now  we have 6 Halo games you can play online Halo 3, Halo 2 Vista, Halo CE PC, Halo 2(Through Xconnect I forgot the name but its a 3rd party software very few people still play) Halo Reach, and Halo 4. Halo 4 still has more people online then any of the rest.

  5. Soundtrack. This is important. Very important. The campaign could have been a lot better if 343 didn't change the amazing music. First of all I will tell what is wrong with halo 4's soundtrack. Well, I am not saying that it was bad, but it definitely didn't sound like halo. Most songs sounded like it could be out of any movie. Not to mention the menu music that sounded like the lady was dying made me want to start a game as fast as possible. There were times when it shined, but not as brightly as well halo 3 music. You must bring in the humming monks, piano and electric guitar in songs like one final effort, mjolner mix, never forget, etc. The music plays a big part in the feeling of halo that most of us say is gone. Just finish the fight!

    Please leave your thoughts below.

You forgot to include that it's different people composing the music.  It isn't like previous Halo music because Martin didn't compose any music for Halo 4. If you dislike it then thats perfectly ok opinions for all   I agree the menu music was weird but it pays a slight homage to the original Halo theme(The one with the chorus forgot what its called) I think Neil should get a slight break he tried his best and he wanted to be unique not blatantly copy Martin's style. Although one thing for sure though is if they ever have another Warthog run I better recognize the music right away.

As for Halo 5's soundtrack from what we have neen told the game is going to be very dark so expect a darker soundtrack.

  6. It is worth mentioning. I wanted a Floodfight (Firefight with flood) mode in Halo 4, so before it was released I created an image showing a basic idea of how it could look... Then I posted the image on HaloWayPoint forums...

Maybe someone at 343i saw it and misinterpreted my idea. Because my image looks a lot like the Flood gametype in Matchmaking in the current Halo 4... But 343i I wanted this in Firefight NOT multiplayer. Well maybe they put flood in Multiplayer only because they removed firefight and replaced it with Spartan Ops. So perhaps they couldn't use my idea fully?...

I hate to break it to you but I highly doubt 343i took your idea and made the flood gamemode in War Games. I am sure that they knew from the start they didn't want flood in Halo 4(writing these games isn't easy ya know) So they used "Infection" as a way of giving the flood a cameo appearance in Halo 4 so people will know 343i didn't forget about the flood. I am sure if someone saw your idea they would let you know that they liked the picture/something of that sort.

  7. Try restarting your modem/router. Or go to network settings and disconnect from your connection then reconnect. That sounds extremely odd I haven't heard of those kind of networking issues in Halo 4. Do what I just recommend and then tell me your results. Also can you get into custom game lobbies just fine?

  8. Dude the series is far from dead. I've been to already 7 gamestops in my area both are soldout of pre-orders for the Xbox One and PS4. You're thinking too hard about this a lot of people will still buy Halo and it's up fans of Halo to keep supporting it and introducing people to it. Plus maybe people will change their mind and get the xbox one once they see Halo 5 or another game they like and they end up getting Halo 5 as well?
I understand your point and at first I was a bit worried too but the best way the Halo community can help is keep being awesome and introducing more people into the wonder of Halo.

I know this will never happen but if Halo 5 came out on PC I would buy both versions. Console and PC(I understand why they won't port it over but a spartan can dream can't he?)

  9. What experience do you have with card games?

I played Yu-Gi-Oh when I was a kid but I'm pretty good at unit balancing anyway.

What are some of your skill/talents?

Writing. Unit Balancing. Screenshot capture (Capture Card),

How would you like to contribute to this project?

    Whichever way is necessary

    Cheese or Pepperoni?

    Pepperoni

    Favorite Halo game?

    4. Deal with it.

On a scale of 1-10(117) how well do you think you know Halo(This can be anything from concepts that were cut from games to overall lore)?

I know lore very well. Bit less so for Forerunner/ Precursor stuff but fairly well.

    Are you rebel scum?

I am a part of the Rebel Alliance and a Traitor. Take me away!

    Liked purely for that.

Sent you a PM with more information thanks for applying Midnight!

  10. Basically, the title. Video Game and its correlation to violence is brought up many times, whether in my own experience or from things I hear around news. I mean, we've seen politicians convinced that video games were terrible for people. We've had people blame video games in recent tragedies involving shootings.

I was intent on learning this in the first place; my school then forced me to do a project on anything, so I chose this. I have the poll up to be able to get a tally but I'd encourage you guys to share your opinion on this question. Try to be as unbiased as possible, but in the end, we are gamers, and when I make this poll, it's already factored that there might be bias. Thanks for reading, I hope you guys...well, respond! :D

I play violent video games quite frequently and ironically I'm a pacifist(Well to be clear I don't like starting fights I perfer to avoid them as much as possible and so far I always do. I only think you should fight if it absolutely necessary) There has been dozens of studies on video games and violence and all studies provide inconsistent evidence(I read this on Kotaku forgot the article name) Like Zag said if you have a underlying mental condition then playing violent video games might actually provoke you to do violent things but it all depends on the person. So far scientific studies on this topic don't always find an answer they can agree on weather or not violent video games can link to violence.

  11. okay just for you to understand i will write them in long term form ,   halo might still have a fairly large fan base ,  but they have lost about 75 percent of their fanbase ,  people just are not interested in playing halo  .......i have friends who stopped playing ,   its getting worse  ......you might be one who likes the armor abilities , and think halo 4 is good , so your defending it .....the numbers dont lie , they have lost most of their players ,  i know ive played all the halo games , and payed attention how many people was on and they have lost most of their players

If you don't like armour abilities don't use them simple as that. Your statement saying halo lost 75% of their fanbase is also very incorrect because you base it only on your experience which is very selfish. Yes your friends stopped playing Halo but did you know that a lot of people joined the halo fanbase just today? The Halo fanbase is now bigger than it used to be and you just don't know it.

Thank you Frankenzer for helping me out on this one you're right. I have seen so many more people play Halo now then ever before. Sure people are split between Halo 3, Reach, and Halo 4 at times but the fanbase just keeps getting bigger and diverse. Halo 4 sold extremely well a lot better then what 343i expected. So your argument just seems weak. If you don't like Armor Abilities then play Slayer Pro or anything with "Pro" in the name or Team throwdown(I think throwdown doesn't have AA sometimes). I still don't see what you're so fussed over. 343i has listened to people like you and have given you guys options in War Games. Also if you want a mod that captures the Halo 3 feel just check out "HaloPromod"

  12. I hate Windows 8 and have no intention of crippling my computer with it, so no.

By the way, RTS halo games just feel forced and awkward. Halo Wars felt slippery, rushed and patched together, and the plot was boring.

I see no evidence to suggest that Spartan Assault will be any different.

Spartan Assault isn't an RTS its a top down shooter. Also Windows 8 runs so much faster then Windows 7. It's ok if you can't get ahold of it but chances are that if you have Windows 7 you're crippling your computer more then Windows 8.

  13. Halo is defintly dying .... Do u seen the fan base now with halo 4 , it hasent even been out a yr and they would be lucky to have 50 thousand people on , alotttt of people have left , halo 3 defintly didnt go this low in the first yr.... They took out the playlist legendary slayer like a week ago .... Change is good but not like that ..... Cod dosent change and they still do amazing

Can you please type with proper grammar? I mean I hate to be that guy but please don't be lazy and type "yr" instead of "year". Halo's fanbase is still fairly large it isn't dying. The population is still pretty large. Well you can always play Rumble Pit or Slayer Pro variants if you want that "classic" Halo feel. Please remember Halo and Call Of Duty are very different games so it would be nice if you didn't compare them. Call Of Duty does change but in very small increments. Plus CoD is available on 4 different platforms when Halo is only on one.
