  1. Ive raged several times with some threads but halo truly isnt what it used to be. In halo 2/3. The game was i believe the best multiplayer/ campaign ive ever been through. The maps were outstanding and the matches were enjoyable... I remember how at the end of a maych me and several other random players. Joked about nonsense. How he was shooting at some guy and i randomly popped out of a cave with a chopper and splattered him and several other events. In halo reach though the enjoyment died dramatically but the game was still non the less enjoyable with matches. What kept me involved more was the new gametypes and how you could purchase armor even though it gave no attribute points what so ever. The reason we say halo is becoming like cod. Is because most of us bizarre halo fans have a grudge against cod and how many rage quits weve endured trying to just get a kill. Since all classes in cod are unequal due to ranking and much time devotion. Its simply too much. In halo though. Everyone is equal. Besides color and look of armor effect( unless your an elite). All players spawned with exact sane equipment. And in halo reach. You spawned with just different armor ability. But still that was the main change all other equipment was equally the same. Sword was still in center of map. Dmrs and plasma rifles were scattered and it took almost a full clip of needler to kill someone. Now in halo 4. Again not personally a favorite but the sprinting. The sprinting was not present because the maps were small to begin with. Enough room and enough corners to sneak behind. Promethean vision. This actually disables three top effects. Invisibility. Hologram. And sneaking. Now for saftey precautiom you can activate this see through walls ability to find that person who spent countless minutes prefecting his assasination attempt. Of course theirs the dilmna of campers but honestly its better to have one problem rather than three. The mantis. Honestly i feel if they transformed it into the cyclops from halo wars. Maybe their would he less concern. For the cyclops had a jackhammer and a claw for hands. It was agile but not to agile. It could repair vehicles and it could deal devestati g close range attacks that required one to be in arms length for it to work. The seating was vulnerable from all sides but back and it was short and wide. Personally it be neat if they could have in corporated this for a mission in which you were needed to destroy a wall or some strong barrier or etc. second the scarab.is missing. The most deadliest vehicle and most known is MIA this was a threat in the past 5 games halo 2/3 halo odst. Halo reach and halo wars. In halo 3 they had you fight against at least four in the campaign. Two being at the same time. The hornet is also missing. The prometheans are sided with the covenant... Does anybody else see a slight problem? In all previous games their was always three factions. The flood. Unsc and covenant. This was in all games besides halo odst and halo reach. I appologize if some information is invalid but i truly miss the old gameplay instead of this new way. Personally if given opprotunity id gladly think of new ids in how to bring back the original gameplay along with several ideas i imagined of during the wait for halo 4. Btw halo all together is still the king of all games. Just for the record
  2. Cod was the only game that i knew well that used this different style of gameplay. Ill admit i made this topic of rage. What i truly miss is the equalness of all players. The fact all loadouts were already chosen. So everyone could have exactly what the other did in the next death. The fact the load outs disnt have "perks" such as tactical abd support packages. Personally im not a fan of sprinting being available for all. Id be satisfied with the game having it as an armor ability. And maybe possibly. If they could bring back the beloved bubble sheild and maybe other equipment. I enjoyed those little things. The game seemed to be full of little things that everyone could pick out enjoy. I have never rage quit a halo game untill halo 4. And ive been through some very unfair matches such as me vs 5 other players while the other players are spawn camping. But now many can call down ordinance to supply them with power weapons. Ruling out the strategic race to acquire the weapons that layered the map. Just had me die alil inside. The gameplay of how a halo game should be this. A map composed of several vehicles and weapons that are placed at several key locations of the map. Rocket / sword etc in center. Dmrs battle rifles layered around corners. Plasma pistol more frequent. Grenades scattered. Both teams have the exact same loadout list as the other no matter of rank or class. If not no loadout list. All have same sheilds same assault rifle battle rifle combo. Same ammount of grenades. Sane distance depending on player to vehicles. Take rats nest for example. A complete symetrical map You could cut it horizontally and the map could fold up and be exactly the other side. Or coag. How the cliff side could be counter for the series of rock and the caves could be countered out by eachother. Its just the fact that both teams had exact same fair advantage no matter their class or rank. The only main difference was armor. Which could be bought with amount of xp points that you used to rank up But the armor was only decoration and flash which sparked us all to keep playing any game type to gather points. The fact that no matter the game type. Forge / campaign. Firefight. You always got points at least thats what im aware of. The mantis how ever is quite cheap due to its weapons. Personally the cyclops from halo wars. Could have been a nice starting point. Im unsure in the mechanics but in time ill find a way to make it fair as much as possible. And the other fact that the hornet was excluded due to size of map bummed me slightly. Forge world was excluded as well. Of course forge mode is still there but the massive map of all possibility is ridden from the game. Dont get me wrong halo 4 is still a great game. But i feel it is nowhere close to the previous games.
  3. Would you like to see dual weilding return as same layout as halo 3 or some alterations.
  4. The reason we bring up cod is because its the main game us halo fans stray from that we know use this loadout system. I know transformers, i believe battlefeild, annd many orhers im leaving out. But the reason we halo fans are so frustrated is because we enjoy the fact that all are treated equal no matter of class or rank. Thst we all shared the same exact loadouts in a map so no other person could bwat us sonce he could fully customise his loadout with perks and many abilities. We wnjoy the equal effect how guns didnt need to fall out of the sky ( unless in firefight) How the weapons you wanted were laying in the feild and it was first come first serve. They were power weapons because if most only two existed out a time unless the game type was changed. I remember in halo 3 on the map gaurdian. How the grav hammer was standing up in the center of the map. And it was clear to see for each team. It was a game of strategy and the teams needed to use their equipment like bubble sheild and radar jammer to use to sneak this holy weapon to wreck destruction.in reach the gameplay slightly changed since we were introduced with armor abilities. A step closer to making loadout classes but was very limited with it since still. We all played the sane map with the same list of choices. Of course you can modify your loadout but then that removes the preparation factor personally i believe they should make a seperate list of gametypes that use ordinance and loadouts and the other list be classic reach or halo 3. Also. What happen to dual weilding and the mass amount of weapons that were involved? Was this design too cheap or was it to uneffective? Personally i loved dual weilding since it removed your grenades and once you bashed you lost you second gun plus the spiker/ plasma rifle combo i enjoyed
  5. The wolf would be half the size of the mongoose just for scale refrences
  6. camping with invisibility. I personally dont see this too much of a dilemma. I use invisibility only to ambush players with assainations. Camping i feel may just be a disadvantage in some cases but all in all camping is just gameplay and no matter how much we try. It only makes matters worse it appears to me
  7. Are you stupid? This was one of the best moves on their behalf, no more rushing a base with rockets, pickup the flag, droping it and blasting them away again. If you suck with the magnum, that's not my fault, it's as deadly as the DMR. Been playing since day one, it gets olding Flag Dropped! Flag Taken! Flag Dropped! Flag Taken! Now I can hold my **** and still kill, I don't see a problem. I am on the other hand, not a fan of the ODDBALL throw, you can't just drop it to fight, you have to throw it. Honestly i havent been in that situation but capture the flag game mode removed several designs bungie created. the reason the flag carrier couldnt shoot back was mainly because it would make getting the flag more difficult. The fact its not on a timer instead of previous gameplay im which teammates surround their flag to reduce the timer is a bit disliked. But i guess in time i may see the reason why this method was changed. But first of all if someone who played any other halo game should know. Once the flag is captured by the opponent. It us extremly difficult to retrieve it since many defend and create obstacles for the team so they will not be able to most of the time the team couldnt retrieve their flag. Now that player with flag can fight back with gunfire let alone instant kill bash. It seems to spark up more difficulty to attempting to retrieve. And along with the new throwing of the odd ball... It seems this is going to be a new way to troll the game but actually im neutral on this new installment of oddball
  8. The game just doesnt feel like halo anymore. Its the consistency of the gameplay how everybody was equal from the beggining. Im fine with the weapon loadout and im fine with armor abilities. Its just it feels like you now have perks which doesnt seem like the original halo concept. Dont get me wrong the game still beats all other game series by far im still a devoted halo fan it just doesnt have the "full" halo effect to me it seems. I do have several ideas if some would like to critique to maybe promote if they are infact good additions they may contribute to future halo games. And i didnt say it was completely like cod its starting to resemble cod.
  9. Yes extremly over powered. The only heavy machine gun for UNSC should be detachable turret
  10. They shouldnt have changed capture the flag. If you have captured the flag you shouldnt be able to fire back. Simple as that. 343 changed so much unneeded gameplay
  11. Another idea maybe the wolf. A motorcycle fast paced infiltration vehicle. Has dual side cannons but each shot is eqivalent to maybe half a magnum shot. Its great for scout and reconassaince and if several are on the prowl in a group doing damage the combonation can be deadly.
  12. I second that. Sprinting was good for an advantage of a slight increase in speed and could keep consistency over why previous games didnt involve sprinting. It was a good advantage and disadvantage but it was balanced. Now that sprintings active for all classes it removes the heavyness to the armor that your wearing. Personally they should make sprinting an armor ability again along with evade and remove prethean vision
  13. I feel they should allow customizations like you could do for infection how you could either give a zombie a gun or grav hammer. Just so you can create more gametypes like in halo 3 and reach. Maybe possibly allow the ability to be some different flood units. To add a more eerie effect. Like the poppers, the hunters, elites, human , foam, stalkers etc. that would be a very interesting and also add more ways on how to play the game. That and msybe a survival series maybe ai vs humans. Just a thought
  14. Armor lock i feel was evenly balanced because if another person went into armor lock this could be an advantage to either player. Its just whom ever can use the situation to their advantage. The player could find cover while locked on to the player in AA who cant move unless to be barraged by grenades and bullets. Also allowing the player to not rely on teammates. Hologram and evade and jetpack were great choices in trying to gain an advantage. Invisibility may provide confusion to the player and possibly increase players chance to "slip up". Hardlight sheild is just too uneffective since it requires teamwork that in 85% of games isnt prevalent and more of a lone wolf status
  15. Promethean vision eliminates stealth and certain other abilities. Ruins the fun of being stealthed and then strike the victim like a snake and its prey. Promethean vision appears a bit over powered if you ask me
  16. Prometheans cant be placed in gameplay because it wouldnt make much sense. Elites were introduced since their height and sheilds were very close to the spartans. Promethean knights would be extremely over powered since they can teleport. But even if they removed that. Then the knights are at a high disadvantage due to their size. They would become walking targets. It be like introducing hunters, the size is unmatched. Of course it be interesting to play as a hunter but the closest resemblance game type would be similar to L4D or Beastmode in gears of war. Maybe an invasion style game type where several spartans defend the infinity while the covenant/flood/prometheans try to infiltrate. Two teams one offensive the other defensive. It be pretty intriguing to see it work if possible. Next the Elites should be re introduced along with maybe firefight and invasion. Just my thoughts on subject
  17. Tactical, support packages. The option to customize your preferred weapons in load out. Ordinance drops. All players can sprint. Gameplay doesn't appear to have much resemblance to any previous halo game for me. Fyi just stating that the mantis seems to be a copy and paste of silverback to for the sake of adding a new vehicle when they could have just referred to some vehicles in halo wars.
  18. I feel the binary rifle, the scattershot, sticky launcher, incidinary launcher ( apologies if i have wrong name of the promethean rocket launcher) and railgun should be excluded. The binary rifle is extremely over powerful. One shot anywhere equals instant death... That and it has two bullets in the chamber. Railgun seems to be a very weak grenade launcher. ( halo Reach's grenade launcher would have been well effective to keep) the scatter shot seems to be in no way different of the human shot gun besides the design. I feel this game may have been shoved off way too soon then it should have for i am experiencing several unpleasantries
  19. Idea could be the armadillo. A UNSC ground vechicle that can provide mobile cover. Large vehicle that can lock down and health can become greatly increased. Although this vehicle can be slow and will not have weaponry. It still can be great from getting place to place. Another being vehicles from halo wars. Maybee the gremlin, wolverine, cobra, vultute , hawk cyclops etc. it remain consistent with the series. Also the covenant side of the locusts, and vampires. Perhaps a full out ground war with massive air fights along with an enormous map to use. Possibly a significantly increased Blood Gulch or coagulation. Vulture. My apologies for my bad grammar and spelling
  20. Ordinance drops i believe have changed the way in how to play halo 4. Whereas in previous games it was a race to get the players beloved weapon. Now its a camp off to who can get most points no need for movement just a standoff behind cover.
  21. Ive been a halo fan and Ive always enjoy halo. Ever since the first. When reach came out i was hesitant to the game since it was a major difference from halo 3 but the only changes were the armor abilities and the disabling of dual weilding. I although after a few days of feeling of betrayal began to fall victim to the pure awsomeness and hidden ways on how to play the game. One being the grenade launcher. It could be held down and remotely detonated and upon detonation released an emp blast. The armor abilities struck me by surprise but as gameplay went on i realised that the ways of halo were slightly modified since everything else remained the same. As i started halo 4 i encountered several uneasements. One being the mantis. This is completly just like the silverback from gears of war three another being the limited option in forgemode with game types. Another being the replacement of evade to thrusters. Evade seems to me as a more likely ability to keep. Hardlight sheild... 90 percent of the time fails in combat and actually is more of a disadvantage to many. Where as armorlock seemed a more liklier choice to keep. Plus it would remain consistent since in halo 3 it was used by mastercheif to survive the plumet. Dominon i will admit is the most enjoyable gametype introduced. Ordinance drops. Again straying from halo tradition of the command and conquer techinique. Im not saying halo 4 is bad its just not halo anymore. I dont know if i stand alone but im just stating my thoughts. I actually do have a few theories and thoughts that could be introduced to the following halo game since ive been informed that this will possibly not be the last game of the new reclaimer trilogy. If some wish to hear my thoughts please do so and ill try to make some logical suggestions. Sincerly TUS(RISE)
  22. Why was armor lock a bad armor ability. Was it the cheap factor or useless personally armor lock was my favorite along with the natural evade. It seemed fair that for armor lock you are bound where its activated but in return you are invincible. Allowing enough time to plan a quick plan of attack or retreat. And the other fact that it could be used as an emp device for when you have several enemies surrounding you. Your able to deflect them easy. Personal halo reach was my second favorite halo game with halo 3 being my first. Halo 4 is my least favorite game. If they could mix both gameplay for reach and 3 id be well satisfied. I love halo but this game isnt halo at least not the game i used to love
