  1. Likes- -Basic formula -Decent map selection -Fantastic Graphics -Short but sweet campaign (Legendary was a bit too easy compared to other installments, however.) -Promethean weapons and enemies are hella cool -Matchmaking is generally fun -Balance of loadout system Dont like- -COD host migration system (lots of lag) -Basic features unreleased (File browser, full list of specializations) -DXP promotions -Ranking system in general -Regicide challenges -Power weapon spawns are weird, dissappear after a few seconds, available from ordinance (to an extent) -Lack of matchmaking maps and gamemodes -Lack of variety in armor (Halo 3 was the best armor-wise)
  2. I can agree with the unzooming part, but camping with the power weapons was more of a thing that I experienced in previous games. Power weapons are in much larger abundance now, making the scarcity of the power weapons a thing of the past. You had to camp with it to keep it in your possession, and in effect your teams possession. Now DMRs and other weapons weed out campers and the fact that weapons dissapear immediately after being dropped cause the game to increase pace, not slow down like these camping claims would imply. Halo 3 was probably one of the best, if not the best online experience I've ever played. However, Halo 4 is fairly close, and that says a lot from a guy who has a lot of nostalgia and good memories with Halo 4. Halo has always been about reinventing the game while keeping the core aspects the same, and I think thats where Halo 4 really strives. I cant wait for the file browser to be released so that I can play tons of customs.
  3. hmm. COD= Laying in prone, killstreaks (if you think this is the same as ordinance than LOL), ironsights, smaller maps, no vehicles, no weapon spawns, etc. Halo= Crouching only, weapon ordinance, no sights on quite a few guns (scopes on the ones that you can zoom in on), large, open maps, vehicles, weapon spawns seems like you had a few bad games and got owned a few times. If you played Halo 3 and earlier you would know that campers were in more abundance than they are now. Maybe you should communicate and use teamwork so that the enemy team cant get both mantises and than "camp" in the middle? Chill. Not knockin on COD since I have occasional fun in their games (thinking about picking up BO2 on black friday?) but Halo and COD both have extreme playstyle differences. Just because you can cherry pick some features that are similar doesnt mean they are the same game. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  4. I dont know about you, but the Mantis makes you a huge target and your slow movement and short range makes it a deathtrap to DMRs.

    DMR Nerf

As I said, thats from my experience. BR has more aim assist than the DMR and the AR is much easier to aim than the DMR so it's silly to use the DMR in playlists other than BTB for me. The map and gametype usually dictate which weapon I use, so that seems pretty balanced.

    DMR Nerf

AR>BR>DMR>Light Rifle at mid-close range. DMR=Light Rifle>BR>>>>>>>AR at long range. From personal experience.
  7. Ugh. Its all I can really play now since the game seems to be revolving around it. Too bad, because FFA gametypes are incredibly frustrating (see:Lone wolves) In support of non-specific challenges a-la halo reach.
  8. This game will either die or thrive based on the decisions they make on additional content.
  9. Yes please! Even the bungie.net one from Halo 3 was a blast.
  10. I've never hit the XP cap even once. I've had it for less than a week and have a full day playtime, too. If you're playing this game for brag rights instead of enjoying the multiplayer experience than there's nothing I can really say to make you play differently.
  11. Halo 4 stacks up quite well to the Bungie titles. Thats a lot coming from a guy thats a fanatic for Bungie. The ordinaces keep the games tight and exciting. They do put a TON of power weapons on the field at once, which is a bit silly. Loadouts keep encounters from getting boring. Don't tell me you actually enjoyed the AR fest in lone wolves for Halo 3? Pretty boring. You have to be way more cautious in vehicles now. I've gone on comparable killing streaks in the banshee from this game that I would have gotten in 3 and Reach. I just had to play smarter. Betrayals are a bit of a nuisance in flood, I have to admit. Aiming for the (bit too hardy) flood and killing 2 of your teammates is a pain in the ass. In BTB its also annoying that your teammates can get angry that you took one of the vehicles and just destroy it. Good job, we lose because you're too much of a baby to let me get kills in this thing. Have to agree with the weapons dissapearing, I dont understand that at all. Halo 4 is a different overall experience from Halo 3 and Reach, just like Reach was a different experience from Halo 3. Halo 4 keeps itself from getting stale. If halo 4 did the exact same formula as the games before it without changing anything, it would be more like COD than anything, dont you think?

    dmr vs br

I use my DMR class on BTB and my BR/AR class on regicide. Their effective ranges are pretty different so its hard to compare them.
  13. The Saw is very easy to beat. Very Balanced. Boltshot is a menace for me in regicide. makes it near impossible to pursue someone. In other playlists its very balanced, though. Binary rifle is very scarce, but when its on the field it's a game winning weapon. If you dont get a killing spree just from having it, well, got some bad news for you. Tracer is a bit pointless unless you;re being scoped in 24/7.
