  3. I loved the NES. But it didnt really get me into gaming. I'll join you in that nostalgia induced coma though. I loved me some duck hunt :)lol I even have a shirt with a nintendo cartridge that says "blow me" made even more hilarious by the fact im a woman.
  4. Crash Bandicoot! I loved those games. Along with Banjo and Kazooie(spelling?).
  5. I forgot to mention Goldeneye. Oh man did I spend a lot of time playing the game. Is it weird that I prefer split screen competitive multiplayer to online?
  6. As someone who is new to the forums, I figured I would start a thread where I could get to know some of you. Where better to start than learning what got you all into gaming in the first place. As for me: I started gaming at a very young age. My father is an avid PC gamer, and began introducing me to games when I was 3-4 years old. I remember people piling into my room to play the NES my father passed on to me. Gaming has always been a way for me to bond with my father. We have had many disagreements and issues over the years(those are stories for another day), but we have always been able to put our differences aside for a gaming session. I didnt really get into gaming on a regular basis until Christmas when I was 10. My father bought me a X-box with a copy of Halo CE. My brother and I played through the campaign multiple times together (if i had a dollar for every time he killed me with an "accidental" grenade....)and would split-screen multiplayer with our friends. Whenever a new halo comes out my brother and I co-op through it. My brother and I bond over the virtual battlefield.Even though we live in different states, we come together over the virtual battlefield with a mutual goal of saving humanity from the covenant. In short, halo got me into gaming. It has given me many fond memories of talking trash to my friends while LANning halo 2. Its the first game where I truly cared about the story, and the characters. Its my first gaming love
  7. Only a little more than a month until we are all reunited with the chief! :D

  8. I wish they would bring back boarding action. I loved that map so much.
  9. Thank you all for welcoming me! I'm a fan of dead pool as well! Wasn't a deadpool game recently announced? I actually recently sold my kit. So I only get to play drums when I visit family. That's awesome! I'll definitely be checking that out. Once I find a browser for my tablet that will load the site properly. As of right now I'm struggling to post this.lol
  10. I hope the keep Valhalla classic as well. As far as the mantis goes, what game types do you think it would be best in? I'd like to see it used in CTF maps. Each team gets one. Imagine guarding your flag with that? Lol
  11. my night will go as follows - midnight launch at gamestop -power nap or coffee -campaign campaign campaign i never play multiplayer until ive completed the campaign
  12. thank you! any tips for someone who is new to forums?
  13. i would love to see the mantis in matchmaking as long as its balanced properly. Im interested in how different the damage tables are from previous halos. if a tank is easier/harder to destroy? if the mantis is implamented into matchmaking i would think its would sit inbetween a warthog and scorpion in terms of difficulty to destroy.
  14. Valhalla has been confirmed as the map remake. Im very excited, but what do you all think. Ive heard the mantis will be usable in matchmaking. is this confirmed? if so, what gametypes do you want to see it in. I personally think it would be awesome in CTF.
  15. Thank you Its nice to be around people who love halo as much as I do. Have you seen the Flood game play and Valhalla remake? That was an exciting bit of news to wake up too.lol
  16. I'm new to the site and just wanted to say Hi and thanks for having me. Just some background info: I have been playing halo since CE I love the novels. I wish Eric nylund was still writing them.. I love the multi player aspect of the games. But campaign is where my heart is. My favorite level:halo (from halo ce) There is nothing like your first time on the ring. Non-halo related hobbies: I play the guitar, drums and piano. I love comic books and graphic novels. Regular ol' books are nice as well. Batman is my favorite. I looooove history. I enjoy reading/ watching documentaries on ww2 Im enlisting in the navy next spring. Im looking forward to discussing halo with you all
