Didnt think about that, but the Didact isn't dead(watch the epilogue, and he can't be composed). Maybe the Didact will just be a huge threat gaining power in Halo 5, while Jul is terrorizing everyone. Like Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. If I could make a prediction. He will probably be the main enemy in Halo 5. He was the Didacts hand and now that the Didact is no more (I believe), Jul Mdama will likely step up to take the role as the biggest baddest enemy in the next game.
His mention in Spartan Ops is likely how 343industries will use the concept to bridge the two games together.

Episode 3 of Spartan Ops seems like that moment where things start coming together. We're gonna see more of Jul'Mdama, we find out the artifact can transport people, and Dr.Halsey is in it. These are all major points for the story

As far as we know, he's still alive trying to bring peace between the Sanghelli, but something could've happened to him since the Thursday War

Sounds like you got it rough lol. But yeah, talking bout the gameI'm... I'm gonna be fine thanks for asking. It's been a long day, the Packers won, I stubbed my toe. I recently broke up with my girlefriend and the weather suck. I put on like 10 pounds recently, my back is killing me, I won't be home for Thanksgiving, I have really bad gas right now, I miss my dog, I think I am coming down with the flu, I got stung by a bee, I stubbed my toe, I have gum in my hair, my mic sucks for xbox live, all the Pringles in the can were broken, my coke is flat, I found a gray hair today, Bieber just won an award, for what, for what I ask you? But I am... getting by. It's just so hard somet... Oh wait your talking about the game. Forget everything I just wrote, never mind.

I'm playing forerunner on legendary right now, and near the beginning of the mission, Chief asks Cortana after she goes a little crazy 'Are you gonna be alright?" I noted this because he said it so awkwardly, and that shows that 343 is tying to show his humanity. If anyone else finds any similar moments please share them.
-
His duty IS to protect humanity, not anything else.
-
Thats the thing, 343 is taking Cortana away from him to show off his humanity and not just portray him as a machine.Yes, halo would be dull without Cortana because Chief would be turning into a machine because Cortana makes him feel human.
-
Theres already a remake for custom games. It's called settlerBlood Gulch.
-
Del Rio was a fool because he cared more about his ship than helping Chief save mankind.

I know what video you're talking about, but they said "You'll never see his face" as in you won't see his face in Halo 4. They will probably reveal his face in Alo 5 or 6, hopefully.OP, 343i said they will never reveal master chiefs face. They are just trying to get people knowing that he isn't some machine, he is a human. They will not have master chief fully revealed lol, I can confirm it when I find the video.

And to add on to that, your post seems a little immature too. This isn't 343i's official website, and one person can't bring realism to this whole community. I just hope things went back to the way they were before the game came out.Nice to met you Kevin, but please do not try to judge this website from what you have seen recently. things used to be very serene around here in the months up to the release of halo 4. We had many respectable members,a friendly environment, and it was a place that you could have fun. But since release.....new members are joining in extreme numbers. Few of these nee members have shown respect and maturity here on the forums. People have been very selfish and often tend to break forum relations. Some of these new members are respectable people though, and I hope you are one them. Once the halo 4 hype dies down a bit, the forums should return to the friendly environment that it was before. we just need patience

I don't think they told us about what happened to him, but I'm sure that'll be answered in SilentiumWell i just watched the terminals and that answers a lot about the Ur-Didact, so what happened to Bornstellar? He activated the halo's from the Ark which was safely outside the pulse range, where did he go? He can't be the Didact from the game and be imprisoned and activate the Halo's while the librarian was on earth? It doesn't pan out.

117, Revival, and Haven

It was New Phoenix, which is in ArizonaOf course the Didact HAS to shoot at UTAH and nowhere else!?!?!!?!?

So she gave him forerunner DNA to make him advance as a human.Yes it is included in the evolution of mankind in which i ws speaking...thats what i meant.I didnt use the term gaeas because it wasnt used in the game and did not want to confuse anyone who does not read the novels or wiki.

Chiefs 45 during Halo 4, and he's not the only Spartan-II during Halo 4. Linda, Kelly, and Fred are all still alive.
-
No, she accelarated the process of the Didacts Gaeas in John awakening because you hear the Didact speak with John in his mind, and that is what a Gaea does.No. Humans are a differant species. The Librarian wanted to excellerate the evolution of humans to help them achieve The Mantle and defeat the Didact. The "seeds" she kept from the Didact were a special immunity to the composer that she put in human DNA that she activated while speeding up HUMAN evolution nothing more. The Librarian believes the Forerunners time is up and now it must be passed on.Thats what the librarian did to chief. Its about the Mantle that is the main thing here that the Librarian wants to help with.Humans are called Reclaimers because they are to reclaim the respondsibllity they were meant to have.If you look back The precursors favored humans over forerunners to have the mantle they had in the first place.I don;t know were you're getting Chief has forerunner DNA now it says nothing of the sort. The Librarian explains it clearly.
-
yeah, because there would be no need for himWhat if he saves the Universe and doesn't die. Will he be still seen as obsolete?
-
If Chief doesn't die a hero, he will be seen as outdated and unneeded. So it does apply***It applies to what we're talking about***.
How does it.

Ok so remember when you met the Didact in Cryptum and he was executed? Well that was the Ur-Didact, or Original Didact. Bornstellar was just carrying the Ur-Didacts Conscious. So it turns out the Ur-Didact wasn't executed, but instead was abandoned in a flood-infested system, and although we don't know how, it looks like he got back to the forerunner empire. And yes, you were right aout that a couple months ago(virtual high-five!). And that monitor wasn't Spark, but just Chakas. Spark is one of multiple fragments of the Chakas monitor because he tells the science team(remember this is in 2558) "I see one of me has already caused you trouble." All the Ur-Didact info is from Cryptum, Primordium, and the official description for Silentium. The Ur-Didact? So i was semi right from months ago about the original or is he a clone? I thought that monitor was Guilty Spark? What monitor was it then? Verly Interlesting Sierra, It's starting to spark my interest again.
The Didacts ship should of been composed of hard light as well as materials.
Sierra, you want to point me in the direction where the Ur Didact data can be found?

I feel like I know Lasky as much as i know chief(which is very well, i read the books). And I met him a month ago. Forward Unto Dawn helped me understand the character during the campaign, and him being the Captain of the Infinity definitely has me excited. The Halo universe has been filled with excellent supporting characters from the very beginning (Johnson, Keyes, Foehammer, to name a few). Halo 4 is no exception.
Let us celebrate our new friend, Thomas Lasky. This character is full of win. Thank you 343. I really enjoyed Lasky's interactions with Master Chief and I found Lasky's personality to be both refreshing and authentic to the Halo universe.
I look forward to spending more time with Lasky in future episodes of Spartan Ops. Please keep this character around.

It applies to what we're talking about."You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself to become the villain."
LOL quoting Batman. WTF has that to do with Halo
I agree with you, and the loss of Cortana definitely helps with that, but for any human, super-soldier or not, going through everything Chief shakes you to your core. And I don't think he can live in a galaxy that doesn't need saving, because that's all he knows, "protecting earth and her colonies"Ahhh, but that seems to be the theme of Halo 4, turning Master Chief back into a human being.

The music doesn't have anything to do with his appearance, it was just made that way so it would be more dramatic. And the Librarian didn't genetically modify chief, she activated dormant genes in him, Forerunner DNA. And Chief didn't die because the forerunner DNA in him protected him from the composer, so he is still very much human.I think the Master Chief is no longer human (as we understand it). I am not sure if anyone mentioned this before...
1. The Librarian biologically modified the Master Chief.
2. The composer was used to burn up all the humans at the station.
3. It looked like the Master Chief was killed...
I think the Composer burned up all of "the human" in him.
Those that believe the unmasked face is normal human are missing an important cue, the music cuts off and a sound effect plays to enhance the viewers gasp.
WHY DIDNT I GET THE ARMOR!
