  1. One thing that looks really amazing is certain custom-made decorative props. Maybe look into getting him some sort of replica from the games, I know small-time artists on Etsy do them, or you could get something official from Tri-Force, they make some sweet Plasma Rifles.

Posters and stuff are also neat, so, keep that in mind.

Awesome post to see, I am amazed that you two would have such a love for each other and for this game. Hope everything pans out well.

  2. I just had to come back to give my sincerest congratulations to Bated here, what a friggin guy. I have known him for about four years (damn, has it been that long?) and there is no one I could possibly trust more. He is the definitive symbol of dedication, friendship, and support, and he's been one of the biggest pillars in my long road to evolving. In my honest opinion, he represents the absolute best of not just the site, but the Halo community, and this is a decision that I am so happy to see finally come to light.

Congrats, buddy. You deserve this more than anyone.

  3. post-26953-0-17188400-1486842848_thumb.jpg

Following Activision’s recent Q4 2016 Earning’s Call, the company has confirmed massive layoffs despite an affable demeanor in the aforementioned conference. The cut in staff is alleged to be about 5% of the workforce, which is monumental after such a carefree conference. Activision Publishing is allegedly the only branch applying these layoffs, with Blizzard and MLG notably not affected. Developers Infinity Ward, Beenox, and Treyarch took the brunt of the hit, with around 20 people laid off at Infinity Ward, the developers of the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Infinite Warfare. This also comes after Activision’s CEO stated that he felt Infinite Warfare did not resonate with fans, and promised a return to form in 2017. Activision reported a “better-than-expected” fourth quarter, citing record sales numbers. Their line-up for 2017 so far looks precariously slim, with only two main titles, Destiny 2 and Call of Duty, gracing the market so far.

I didn't really have a theme for this, so, I want to see what you have in mind, since you're an awesome artist. The only recommendation I have is sleek looking text and boisterously colourful and extravagant. You're free to lead the way from there.
  5. I don't have a Halo novel that I'd particularly see translating well into film (save for First Strike) but, I have thought about a Halo movie modeled off of Halo: Reach before, as I figure that's a more concise version of TFoR to more casual fans. Plus, Spartan IIIs.

Brad Pitt as Carter - I know, this is a weird choice, but, he certainly pulls off the gruff everyman look in Fury, and I figure he looks just right to be Carter.

Charlize Theron as Kat - Again, strange choice, but she looks identical to Kat in Mad Max, and, she's a very versatile actress.

Jamie Hector as Emile - Pretty self explanatory, keep his voice as he'd never be shown under the helmet anyways.

Rami Malek as Jun - After seeing a few of Rami's works, I think he'd make a great Jun! He has the appearance (even though I can't find an image of him bald) and I feel as though he could add to Jun's smarmy wit.

Tom Selleck as Jorge - Okay, tell me this guy doesn't look like Jorge! He has a charm that could really pair with Jorge's like-ability and, honestly, his death could end up being a real tearjerker.

I figure Six will remain silent, focusing on his/her appearance only through his/her visual prowess.

Images for those unsure of what the actors look like, in order of their mention, save for Jamie Hector:

  6. 1.) Gears of War 4
After the launch of the abysmal Gears of War: Judgment, I had little hope that another Gears of War game would excite me to this degree. Gears of War 4 takes lessons from 343's own mistakes and adapts to a changing FPS market to create something that feels so classic. The campaign nails the tone of the series and fits right into the existing universe, like a puzzle piece. The inclusion of old characters helps to make the new ones feel engaging, and by the end, I was more excited to see JD, Kait, and Del return in a future sequel than I thought I could be. Multiplayer really feels like classic Gears, and Horde is quite a bit of fun. Gears of War 4 isn't perfect, but it was the game we needed to revive a great franchise.

    2.) Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
Another fourth entry to an already great series, Uncharted 4 is a deeply complex and thrilling game with a story that parallels it's precursors. Nathan and his brother have an incredible dynamic, and the ending doesn't feel shoe-horned or overly dark, and is a satisfying end to a great series. Multiplayer is quite fun as well, though, the campaign certainly takes the spotlight.

(I will edit more to this later.)

One of the first episodes I've legimately watched the whole way through. Great plays on your end Red! When I first saw those Cryssalids, I was genuinely concerned the game would "Game of Thrones" my character on the first go. Awesome episode!

Also, Jackdaw got some great shots in.

  8. Yes, I still adore the series. I feel like 343 has done an amazing job with Halo 5 and I'm eager to see what's next. Here's what stands out to me about the current Halo franchise.

    • The lore. Halo: Mythos, Fractures, Smoke and Shadow, Hunters in the Dark, New Blood, Envoy. Books that span entirely different stories and characters exploring areas of the universe that most fans had forgotten about. Giving 343 credit in this regard, I don't think Bungie would've ever touched the outer lore characters (Grey Team, Rtas') again.
    • Post-Launch content for Halo 5. If you had told me that Halo 5 would have this much content a year later, I wouldn't have believed you. In what other Halo game can you drive an anti-air wraith, jump out, use a sentinel beam, a CE pistol, then switch to a grenade launcher and a SOCOM magnum? Halo 5's multiplayer connects even more to the lore than the campaign.
    • Forge. It's been said countless times, but Forge in Halo 5 needs to be the staple for games going forward. It is flawless.

  9. SoS getting fleshed out as a faction = Amazeballs

SoS getting fleshed out as a faction = Maybe HW2 MP faction? I'd be happy to see it.

I'd love to see some different classes though, SoS Hunters (the red hunters in Warzone maybe based on them like the elite in the SoS banshee?) SoS Jackals, and maybe SoS themed weapons?

    Swoot DD!

  10. So contrary to a lot of other people's beliefs I really like raps, specifically video game raps, because they appeal a lot to me with their speed and finesse, and I think watching some other video game rappers such as Dan Bull, might help convince people more of the genre as well as help those who want to get into it or improve.

Let me start by saying your flow is superb, you're fast and get out the information you need to, which is what I look for when I listen to rap. Secondly your beat is nicely done and you had a few good lines for sure. My only real gripe is some of the lyrics, which seemed less clever and more to assist the flow, which they did, but at the cost of your message.

Overanalysis aside, awesome work bro. Will listen to it again for sure!

  11.

Because they have not done is a few instances in the past such as the Halo 4 opening cinematic where the Spartans wore Mark VI armour long before it ever came out. :)

343i did say that was due to time constraints yet Elites used the Plasma Rifle (that someone had to model) rather than a storm rifle, and don't forget the Brute Chieftan. Because of that everything else about that scene felt really tacked on.

They are mostly using time-appropriate gear, but the grunts, jackals, and likely elites are all Halo 4 era and I think the weapons are as well, which all sucks. It feels like half-343 half-Bungie and that makes it seem really poorly pieced.

  12. Forge has always been a staple of Halo to me, and yes newer additions to the franchise can be staples too. So in that regard, yeah I'm disappointed I can't weld a man cannon to a soccer ball, add spikes, and create the sickest gamemode to ever hit Halo. But I also thought Halos 1, 2, and 3 were staples of the franchise and to see them in such disarray in MCC really bothered me. Point being, I'm cool with a small delay like that as long as it launches stable. It'd have been kickass to be in at-launch, but stability > release in my eyes.

  13.

I would prefer renders as it puts the entire body of the Spartan into perspective better with the new helmet.

I am also really loving Anubis. Though its too bad 99.9 percent is Req based. :)

See, I like the renders too, but 343 doesn't seem too big on releasing them. And plus the cards are kinda cool too :3 I'll decide by the time we finish up reorganizing armour if it'll be cards or renders, but I have a feeling cards will win due to vehicle, weapon, etc renders being really low too, just for the sake of organization.

  14. UPDATE: Added Mako, Scout, Hunter, Anubis, EVA, and a few others. There's still A LOT more to go and I plan on adding stances and more in the near future. Would you rather Armour and Helmet sets be their respective REQ cards or (if possible) renders? Lemme know below.

I would really appreciate any help I can get, if you have ANY armour, weapon, helmet, stance, assassination, vehicle, etc. REQ image send it to me or put it in this thread. For example:

    post-26953-0-67500700-1444447535.png

I have the NOBLE body REQ image but no helmet image.

  15. Ladies, gentlemen, Spartans, and eggheads... This is it. This is the moment you have all been waiting for! Wars have begun and ended for this very moment! Many a true man has lost his hope and asked, "When? When will they meet? Will they ever?" Yes, you heretic, yes they will.

Drizzy_Dan and Hayley Kenway, two of the most vital members of the forum and of history, have met in a matchup that can only be compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Bruce Willis teaming up to- oh wait that's Expendables 3... THE MOMENT IS FINALLY HERE! Are you ready? Have you waited long enough?
