  1. Well, I remember that I was struggling to find a unique name for XBL, mixing things I like from Halo. I wanted "Elite Spartan" (I loved both Spartans AND Elites, so why not combined?)

But it was already taken -_-

I also liked sniping, so "Elite Sniper" was a great secondary choice.

But, of course, most versions of this name were taken, so I added some leet and a capital "i" in order to be acceptable.

    That's it :P

  2. I am going to be leaving the game I think. It's time consuming for me and I want to avoid having any unnecessary responsibilities. My life outside of the forums is becoming very tight on time and I have a lot to worry about

I did enjoy reading through previous rounds and getting to play in the last round, but I just won't be able to cherish the experience anymore. Best of luck to SEED factor and all participants. I hope the game continues to improve and attract more players. I may tune in occasionally to read some action, and I will see if there's time again to join in the future

    Good luck,

    Fear out

    Nooooooooooo D:

    Y u do dis?

Anyway, in round 4, what skulls are active? I got a little confused...

And another question, if a UNSC vs Aliens battle occur, whose side will I be on since my character is a Separatist?

  3. I personally do not like having kills and respawns. It ruins the flow of the game and chops up the gameplay into pesky segments for the players who are killed. It takes a lot more time to write out the actions of your character when you have to restart from a spawn, because they were killed. You have to draw your character back into the action from which they just departed, and create a whole new combat scenario for them. Because of the time that this consumes, players have become almost "lazy" with their posts, because they want to get back into the action as soon as possible. Rather than describing their actions and using sensory adjectives, the player just says " my character respawned angry, so he ran and found an enemy player to kill". I don't find that very fun :no

I feel that having no kills keeps the game much more interesting. Players have to come up with creative and clever ways to keep their character alive in the action. They can withdraw from combat at will, rather than being forced to because they got killed in another player's post. It also will keep the game more "modest" and "clean", being that the last death of my character was beyond gruesome.... i am not angry or humiliated, i just prefer not to puke while i am reading this

On another note, i think we need to implement some sort of policy for members who are not participating regularly. In the last round, i only had one other teammate that posted, while the other 3 were not heard from once. With the other team having almost full participation, you can easily understand why the blue team was obliterated. That's not fair to the other players on that team, being that they are getting no support

Also, with the new skull that takes away auto-hits and god moding, what happens if a player that is attacked does not respond to the post? For example, i post "Fear shot his DMR at Jacob" but Jacob does not reply for duration of that round. That leaves Fear completely helpless and doesn't allow him to make any other moves until Jacob responds with a post describing the outcome. I do really want to have more player interaction between each other, but it will be hard to do with this flawed system

    Please Read SEED Factor

since we are still deciding on some of the rules, why don't we postpone this next round? It's not completely clear how we are interacting with players and the kill/respawn issue yet. I think it would be best to wait for some more feedback about your general concerns before we allow for a new round to start

I completely agree with you, I want the game to be like the first two rounds, where only minor characters and troops were killed.

And we don't really need the new skull. We could slightly control other players' movements and reactions, but in a more logical way. For example, one wouldn't post "Player 1 shot his BR at Player 2, who stood there staring a P1 until he was knocked out."

We should make it more fair, especially for other players' character.

  4. "Looks like we're taking a beating." said Des' to Fear, after respawning.

Fear simply moved his head in agreement.

"Come. We could get around them through this valley, hopefully...."

    "I'll stay here." said Fear.

    "As you wish."

Des' teamed up with Spark again, this time being more cautious. After entering a large open area, they both realised something was not right.

"Are you feeling crosshairs over... here?" asked Des', pointing his head.

"Sadly I do..." replied Spark, getting a hold on his Magnum. They both moved carefully from this point on.

Not only a moment later, they encountered a Jackal, who tried to surprise them.

"You!" yelled Spark, seeing Omegaman. "I'm going to kill that sonuva-"

"Get down!" He was cut off by Des', who pushed him behing a rock, norrowdly avoiding an Incinaration Cannon shot from behind. Jacob was standing there, reloading his Cannon.

"I'll deal with him, get the Jackal!"

They were locked in a 2v2 fight, Spark pinned down by Omeganman's fire, and Des' struggling to keep up with Jacob, who teleported everywhere. When Spark made a move towards Omegaman, Jacob teleported behind him.

"Behind you, Spartan!" yelled Des' while shooting him with his Carbine. Spark jumped on the Omegaman, hoping Jacob wouldn't shoot to avoid friendly fire. He quickly emptied a whole mag on the Jackal's head, whose body slowly faded away. The other Spartan opened another portal to hop in, seeing as it was 2 versus 1 now.

"Take that too!" muttered Des', throwing a plasma grenade into the portal.

    "Are you hurt?" asked Spark.

"Just the usual minor flesh wounds."

    "Let's go then."

The both continued seeking enemies in order to increase their score.

Spark kills Omegaman -- Blue Team +1

  5. Des', confused of what happened, respawned in a safe area near his teammates. He spotted a Spartan from afar, but wasn't sure if he was hostile or Spark. Moving closer he noticed a red band on his arm, ensuring hostility.

He tried to activate his camo device, but for some reason it was jammed, and before he could do anything Sikslik7 jumped on him,

knocking him down for a moment. They both made a reach for their blades, but the Spartan pulled out an army knife before Des' could grab his sword.

"This is easy!" murmered Sikslik preparing to stab him.

But an unexpected action turned the side of fate. Des' activated his energy dagger, hidden beneath his hand's armor plate, and quickly stabbed the Spartan in the neck, where there was no armor.

Sikslik groaned in pain, and Des' kicked off him. He saw the Spartan slowly fading and disappearing in front of his eyes.

After making sure no one was around, Des' made his way back to his teammates, hoping they weren't into trouble.

  6. A portal appeared over a small island, surrounded by sea, some trees and a mountain splitting the land in two parts. Four figures fell from the portal to the ground.

"Argg!" moaned Des', landing on his head. "Don't they know how to use those things??"

"This is going to kill us faster than the enemy!" replied Spark, who had the same luck.

"Hmm... Judging from where we are, the other team probably landed on the other side of this mountain." Spark said, informing his squadmates.

"Let us find a way to get there, then make short work of them!" muttered Des'.

After searching a little, they discovered two paths, each leading to the other side.

"Looks like there are two different paths. We can split up and cover more ground." suggested Pluton.

"Yes, seems like a good plan. Me and Spark could sneak up on them by taking the left path, while you and Jase take the right one." said Des'.

"Alright, let's do this. We'll contract you soon." said Spark while the two groups were splitting.

  7. "No! The flag!" screamed Omegaman.

"They've got reinforcements!" yelled Pluton, who immediately tried to find some cover and stopped next to Des' and Omegaman.

"I still have an ace up my hat, or whatever Humans call that." replied Des' and muttered something in his voice transmitter.

Suddenly, they saw a huge purple aircraft emerging from the mountains. Getting closer to the battlefield it was revealed to be a Lich.

"That will be a nice little distraction while we go down to get their flag!"

"I will get the human!" muttered Pluton and gave chase to Spark.

"Omegaman, you're the fastest and most agile. Go down and get that flag back, you'll be a ghost in this mess." said Des'.

    "What about you?" asked Omegaman.

"I'll try to do some damage."

The Jackal dissapeared into the immense battle, while Des' was going down the elevator looking for enemy weak spots.

Then, he noticed some ODSTs carrying heavy weapons.

    "Hmm..."

Using his camouflage, he easily sneaked past the battle as most enemies were struggling to put down the Lich. When he got close to a lone ODST with a Spartan Laser, his Active Camo ran out of energy.

    "Argg, not now!"

The ODST spotted him and charged up his laser. Des' saw the weapon charging and narrowdly avoided the shot, which took advantange of and took out the human with his Carbine. Then, he retrieved the Spartan Laser from his fallen foe.

"That'll do the trick" he said to himself.

He targeted the Mantis which was putting some heavy fire on his allies. The mech's driver saw a red laser sight honing on him, but when he tried to get out, it was too late. The Mantis exploded, leaving some Marines confused.

    "Hurry up, Omegaman..."

  8. Keg joined Des' Xavum, who was looking at the immensely tall opposite tower. "How are we going to get up there? They gave us weapons, not wings!" stated Keg.

"There's a lift on both towers but it's going to be crawling with enemy troops, we need to find another way." Des' replied.

"Remember when we played this game back on Sanghelios? This time is even better!" muttered Keg.

As they were exiting their room they both noticed Pluton barking orders to other Brutes. "Why is he here?!" groaned Keg.

"Whoa, relax. They're on our side." said Des' and stopped him in his track. Pluton heard them and headed towards them.

"If you want to keep your brains inside your head you better stop talking!" Pluton angrily said. "Let's go now." said Des'.

"I cannot cooperate with this mongrel!"

"Neither can I, but we must. Now move, we've got a flag to capture." responded Des', picking up his Carbine and heading towards the Blue base's lift.

  9. "Our units are taking heavy fire, we must retreat! We also lost contact with one of our scouts!" said Keg, Des' Xavum's most trustful ally. "I'm going to find that cache!" simply murmured Des', deciding it was time to get involved into the fight. "I'll take my brothers with me".

"Good luck. Now go Commander!" said Keg, but Des' was already gone.

When he stepped out of the hideout, he saw a massacre; shots came from everywhere, vehicles on fire, dead allies and foes were lying on the ground wherever he looked. Then he remembered he had work to do. He activated with camouflage, following a stealth approach to Red Base.

Suddenly, an enemy Wraith showed up through the smoke and moved slowly towards Des' and his escort. "Don't move!" he ordered, hoping the tank wouldn't notice them. Hopefully, thanks to their camo devices, they sneaked past it.

They encountered a small Brute resistance on their way to Red Base, but with he support of 3 Ghosts, they managed to clear a path to their destination. But when they got there, they spotted dozens of enemy troops guarding the base. "We can't risk passing through here, we should head to that cave over there." said Des' to his Elites.

When they made their way to the cave, Des' saw what looked like a Promethean Knight. He immediately got hold of his Energy Sword, but before he could attack, the Knight teleported away. "Stay sharp, they might be more of them!" informed his squad.

While they were carefully walking inside the dark cave, trying to spot any movement, they stopped at a battle cry. Des' turned around and saw one of the Elites on the air, impaled by a glowing orange blade. It was a Knight. He dropped the unlucky alien and tried to teleport again, but Des' sword cut through his skull, and a moment after he disinegrated. After everything was quiet, Des' was looking at his dead comrade, when he was cut off by an ally: "It's war, people die". "Yes, but no matter how hard you try you can't save them all..." his Commander replied.

They progressed in the cave, until they found light up ahead. They remaining squad members stopped in front of a Jackal with an infinity symbol on his neck, while some Grunts immediately fled. Des' activated his Energy Sword. The Jackal, surprised by their appearance, desperately tried to get a hold of his Suppressor. He managed to put down the shields of an Elite but he was hit in the back of the head with a Carbine, falling down unconcious. "Should I finish him off?" the Elite asked but Des' replied: "No. He isn't a threat, let him be".

They finally exited the cave and saw that the Brutes guarding the base were gone. "Now about those weapons..." Des' said to himself.

  10. The wounded Elite headed back to his leader, Des' Xavum. "What happenned?" he asked. "They were too many Commander, but I took out one of the demons." he said with difficulty, as the sniper round was still buried deep in his shoulder. "You did everything you could." Des' replied and then ordered a medic to take care of his wounded ally.

Later, he regrouped with his army, which was consisting by the following:

    -15 Grunts

    -7 Jackal Snipers

    -10 Elites

    -5 Spec Ops Elites

    -6 Hunters

-5 Elite Generals, armed with Forerunner weaponry

    -15 Ghosts

    -7 Wraiths

    -5 Banhees

    -2 Phantoms

    -10 Revenants

After everything was ready, it was time to strike, but this time for good. The Wraiths and Ghosts headed into battle, trying to find a foe, while a Phantom was close in order to support them. The snipers took the upper path of the terrain and found some comfortable spots to do their work. The Banshees, along with the Hunters and the Grunts, were pinned down by enemy vehicles, who then retreated due to heavy casualties. The rest of the units were on standby, protecting Des' at the same time.

When suddendly, an Elite Specialist noticed a huge silouette from afar...
